Top 10 Best Gel and/or Cream Eyeliners of 2012

Gel eyeliner is an amazingly versatile makeup essential. In order to create any makeup look these days, it is highly recommended to use gel and/or cream liner in order to make it happen. Only just recently, I got the chance to try numerous gel, as well as, cream eyeliners and as a result, I have decided to narrow down the many that I have discovered, to only the top 10 best gel eyeliners of 2012.

10. Inglot Matte Collection AMC Eyeliner Gel. One of the best gel eyeliners I have discovered this year is definitely this one. Available in not one, but 20 (yes 20) shades, this gel liner demonstrates why it is one of the best gel eyeliners of 2012. Guess what? It is only $12. The Black shade in the Inglot line is perhaps one of the darkest, if not the darkest gel liner I have discovered yet. This gel liner is available at your nearest Inglot retailer or on the official website. I think that this eyeliner gel is vastly underrated, but I also truly believe once others recognize how amazing it actually is, they will be wanting to use it.

9. Stila Smudge Pots. A few months ago, when shopping at the North Point Mall in Alpharetta, GA I had the pleasure of trying and buying Stila Smudge Pots. To my surprise, these gel eyeliners were amazing. Like most gel and/or cream eyeliners, the smudge pots not only work as a versatile gel liner, but they make a great eye shadow base too. One of the best qualities that I have discovered about Stila’s Smudge Pots is the fact that they are incredibly pigmented, so you can build color. Plus the gel liner doesn’t dry right away to a powder finish, but when it does, it lasts for hours upon hours. Stila Smudge Pots are available at your nearest Stila retailer for just $20. Let 2012 be a reminder that if you haven’t had the opportunity to try these gel eyeliners, you definitely need to.

8. Shiseido The Makeup Accentuating Cream Eyeliner. The first time I tried this eyeliner, I was shopping at Bloomingdales. Instead of boring you with a long dissertation about how I did come across this amazing eyelining product, I will just say that to my surprise this eyeliner truly demonstrates why it is one of the best of 2012. The color is visible and because this product is so pigmented, it is very noticeable. After wearing it for a long time, it still remained in place. Shiseido’s The Makeup Accentuating Cream Eyeliner is available at your nearest Shiseido retailer for $26. If you are looking for an eyeliner that does not smudge or does not budge, you are going to love this one.

7. Clinique Brush-On Cream Liner. I first discovered this cream liner when shopping at Herberger’s in the Southgate Mall located in Missoula, MT. Since I first used this incredible Clinique addition, I have to admit I am now a regular user of this cream liner in True Black. It comes with a stand-alone, small travel brush too. In fact, I still use the exact brush it came with to apply it. Can you believe it? The color is pigmented, producing an outstanding color pay-off, as a result. It is relatively long-lasting and very easy to apply. This eyeliner is clearly one of the best gel and/or cream eyeliners of 2012 and de rigueur to say, I would recommend this cream liner to anyone.

6. Yves Saint Laurent Effet Faux Cils Longwear Cream Eyeliner. Recently, when shopping at Nordstrom’s at the Tyson’s Corner Mall in McLean, VA I had the opportunity to not only try, but discover this amazing cream eyeliner. Not only is it pigmented, producing an incredible color pay-off, but it is long-lasting. It doesn’t smudge nor fade. The application is also fairly easy, so applying it is simple. Yves Saint Laurent’s Eyeliner Effet Faux Cils Longwear Cream Eyeliner can be purchased at your nearest Yves Saint Laurent retailer for just $25. Would I use this cream eyeliner again? Yes. Would I recommend it to a friend? Most definitely.

5. Make Up For Ever Aqua Creamliner. When it comes to finding, as well as, using a beauty necessity, there is a lot to contemplate, especially when that necessity is a gel and/or cream liner. Available in various shades, this creamliner confirms why it is in a league of it’s own. I first discovered this great Make Up For Ever addition when shopping at Sephora in Valley Hills Mall in Hickory, NC. To my surprise, this eyeliner is amazing. Everything from it’s vibrant quality to it’s actual intense color formation was surprisingly fantastic. It also managed to last the entire day, which is why I have dubbed it being one of the best gel and/or cream eyeliners of 2012. You can purchase Make Up For Ever’s Aqua Creamliner at your nearest Make Up For Ever retailer for just $20. There is something to be said about an eyelining product that is easy to apply, water resistant, and incredibly adaptable.

4. Shu Uemura Painting Liner Eyeliner. Makeup is as unique as the individual that wears it. Eyeliner is amazing and an important beauty essential and the most versatile eyeliner around is definitely gel and/or cream eyeliner. Not only is this eyeliner long-lasting, it is both water and smudge proof. The texture is smooth. The color is incredibly pigmented, producing a color payoff that is simply amazing. Whether you purchase this amazing gel liner in black, brown, or even purple, you are going to love it. Available at your nearest Shu Uemura retailer or wherever Shu Uemura cosmetics are sold, this outstanding gel liner can be your’s for just $25 right now.

3. Cle de Peau Beaute Intensifying Cream Eyeliner. When I traveled to Dallas to tryout for a reality show, I went there without gel or cream eyeliner. In an effort to discover some, I decided to do shopping before auditioning. At the Neiman Marcus store, I was kindly asked by the sales associate if I wanted to try this eyeliner. The color produced by this eyeliner is intensely visible. In fact, out of the many gel, as well as, cream eyeliners I have tried, this one tends to be one of the most pigmented eyeliners yet. Available in 3 shades, this cream eyeliner is seriously one of the best gel and/or cream eyeliners of the year. This remarkable addition to Cle de Peau Beaute and wonderful cream eyeliner can be purchased for $60 at your nearest Cle de Peau Beaute retailer. Don’t settle for less, get only the best.

2. Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner. Do you love it? When you first try a product and you know almost instantaneously whether you love it or hate it, need I remind you that the first time I tried this gel liner, I loved it. Available in 13 shades, this gel liner is truly a force to be reckoned with. Not only is the texture of this product elite, but this gel liner lives up to it’s marketed concept. It is long-lasting and highly pigmented. This fabulous Bobbi Brown addition retails for $22 at your nearest Bobbi Brown counter, retailer, or at Sephora. This award winning gel liner remains to be one of the best gel eyeliners of 2012.

…and the number one gel eyeliner of 2012 is…

*drum roll*

1. Mac Fluidline. The moment you have been waiting for. After trying numerous gel, as well as, cream eyeliners (with a vast majority of them being great) I have come to conclusion that the best of 2012 is clearly Mac’s Fluidline. Available in 6 individual shades, 3 collection shades, and several limited edition shades, this gel liner clearly demonstrates why it is the number one gel and/or cream eyeliner of 2012. Not only is it long-lasting, it is color building. The color pay-off produced is phenomenal. It goes on light and doesn’t dry right away, but once it does dry, it lasts hours upon hours. In fact, you could probably fall asleep with this liner and it will stay on the next day. It doesn’t irritate the eyes nor the skin. I have tried so many gel and cream eyeliners and none of them compare to this one. You can purchase Mac Fluidline at your nearest Mac store or counter or wherever Mac cosmetics are sold. The best of the best of 2012 and it is under $20.

Sad day for University of Montana...

The University of Montana has fired athletic director Jim O’Day and head football coach Robin Pflugrad.

Assistant athletic director Greg Sundberg sent this notice to the Grizzly Scholarship Association board of directors this morning:

“It is with great sadness that I inform you all that this morning our Athletic Director, Jim O'Day and Head Football Coach Robin Pflugrad were released of their duties as of 8:00 a.m. this morning. It will be a very difficult time for all of us in the coming days and I would ask that you stay positive."

“As more information comes out, I will be sure to let you know. At this point and time this is all that I know.”

The Missoulian was able to contact Pflugrad on his way out of the Adams Center shortly before noon. The coach confirmed that he had been dismissed, but would not discuss it further - saying he wants to speak with members of the football team first.

Read more: http://missoulian.com/news/local/university-of-montana-fires-football-coach-athletic-director/article_b7877268-79c0-11e1-92b3-0019bb2963f4.html#ixzz1qX2B95xp

What I think...

The sexual crime (rape) is not even the coach's discrepancy. Unlike the Sandusky case at PSU that involved witnesses and testimony, this actual tribulation didn't even occur on school grounds (or in the locker room, etc), where there were witnesses. He should not be fired for this. The crime itself is malum in se and doesn't even involve the coach. The only thing the coach is guity of is upping the stance of an alleged rapist.

Plus, until the crime is proved beyond a reasonable doubt (whether that evidence that physically surfaced is plausible to support any case) there is no reason to fire the coach simply because the appropriate actions were taken instantaneously. The suspension, the investigation, etc etc. The coach should not be fired, unless someone claims that the coach was aware before the procedure took place.

Why would the coach be fired? They (the school board) cannot fire the coach unless he was aware of the allegations before the action was taken. Sad to say, but you don't have to be in the courtroom to know that they are firing the him simply because he (more than likely) failed to report the allegations brought to his attention about the alleged rape. It is horrible and in due time, I am hoping that his job is reinstated. The man who allegedly raped the girl, the charges brought against him were dropped. If they were not, I can kind of understand why the board took the actions they did. However; the charges were dropped and right now, they are allegations at this point. They have no reason to fire him.
What I believe the coach can do? He (the coach) can sue/countersue the school because the guy who is the alleged rapist is not being charged for the crime at this moment. The charges were dropped. It would be different if he is guilty, but right now these are allegations, they are not fact. Until this becomes factual and he is actually charged with the crime, he is not guilty.

So today I went hiking...

Hey everyone. I hope you are having a wonderful Sunday. Today, after I returned back home to Montana, I decided that I didn't want "adventure" but that I needed it. I really wanted to go hiking today, so most of the day was spent doing just that. Despite being relatively chilly (it never really starts to warm up in Montana until late June) I still managed to enjoy it. I actually prefer the weather to be cooler when engaging in outdoor activities such as hiking, etc.

Anyways, instead of writing an entire dissertation about my adventurous day, here is a picture that I had the opportunity to take with my phone. Just another reason to not only love Montana, but appreciate much more so.

This was an amazing tribute to Whitney Houston

Just thought that I would share this. Yet another reason to love Yolanda Adams. If you can't see the video, just click here right now.

Some inspiration to start off Monday...

One of my favorite singers is definitely Yolanda Adams. I have been a big fan of her since I heard this song, which was back in 2002. I think even Whitney Houston quoted her as having one of the greatest voices she has ever heard. I think she's on the same wavelength as what Whitney is/was. Biography: Bruce Lee

If there were an award given to the actor that moved so fast, no one could catch him, the recipient of that award would be Mr. Bruce Lee. He was so fast that his speed was considered "inhuman". On November 27, 1940 a martial arts legend was born in the heart of San Francisco, CA. Although Bruce Lee's original name was "Jun Fan" in Cantonese, he chose to use the English translation of Bruce Lee.

At only age 12, Bruce was forced to move to Hong Kong to attend an all boys school. Bruce was very educated, but he always felt as if he were meant to do something bigger than what he was doing at that time. It was quite obvious that Bruce has always been a fighter since the moment he was born, hence why he won several championships on and off throughout his life, up until this point. It wasn't until about age 14 that Bruce started a variety of martial arts training that would prepare him to be the master he was and the legend he would become. As time proceeded and a variety of conflicts floated in Bruce's direction, he decided to make the move back to the United States where he was born. Bruce was determined as a child to become an actor one day, but was more into teaching and educating others about what he learned. He wanted to inspire people and give them a purpose for living and a reason to believe that they can have much more than what they have.

After living in San Francisco, at 19 years of age Lee decided to relocate to Seattle. At this point, Bruce was very skeptical about pursuing a career in entertainment, so he enrolled in the Philosophy program at the University of Washington. At this time, he met his wonderful wife. Lee was heavily influenced by a variety of philosophical teachings such as the Jeet Kun Do, as well as, Taoism and Buddhism. He would also construct a variety of regimes he used that would make a huge impact later on, as a result. Bruce took himself seriously, as well as, anything that became a part of him. He decided to create a martial arts school and use his what he learned, as well as, what founded himself to help others benefit from his knowledge. After days of thinking and working, as well as, many hours of soul searching, Lee decided he wanted to become an actor and pursue that particular route. It wasn't until the 1960s era that Bruce decided to pursue acting. Although Lee acted as a child, he became internationally known as playing Kato, the limo driver and guard in The Green Hornet. As time proceeded, he gave birth to his son Brandon in 1965 (another actor who ends up sharing a similar fate 20 years later) and to his daughter Shannon in 1969. After working over a decade as an actor, Lee was determined to find his big break and eventually found out when he was offered the role of a lifetime as Lee in Enter The Dragon. In 1971-1972 Lee began filming Enter The Dragon. Little did anyone know, this movie would become his biggest success yet.

After over 30 different movies and television sets, as well as, numerous appearances luck did not find Mr. Lee. On July 20, 1973 Lee's life came to a halt, when he mysteriously died. He was only 32 years of age. At this time, he was a success and praised in the media as someone who should be respected for bringing something new to the industry. All anyone could do was question - "Why Bruce?". Some theorists believe that Mr. Lee was murdered by a private martial arts organization because he introduced martial arts into cinema, however; others believe it was an allergic reaction to a drug he used, to attempt to treat a headache he endured, earlier that day. Some theorists still are questioning his death and there are still many unanswered questions.

As someone who is a huge fan of Bruce Lee and possesses a collection of Bruce Lee movies, I am reluctant to state that if I had to choose my favorite Bruce Lee film, I would definitely choose "Enter The Dragon" as it was not only one of his very first American films, but his final film. The film was created with a budge of a little over $750,000 and has managed to grow a revenue of over $30 million. After shedding many tears, for many years from Bruce's unexpected death, Lee's legend remains. Although tears have fallen and Bruce is gone, Bruce's spirit and soul lives on.

Written by Sarah Afshar, 2007

I just realized that I have NOT dated anyone older than me...

...for the past 10 years nor have I expressed interest in dating anyone older. This may come as a shock to some of you, perhaps all of you, but for the past 10 years, I haven't dated anyone older than me at all. Can you believe it? Not even a month older, not even a day a day older. I don't know how content I feel sharing this information to the world (or you, my readers), but why hide it? We are all human afterall. In all honesty, all of the men that I have dated have been younger. Even if it is by a month or two, I have not dated anyone older than me for a decade.

Now I have come to grasp the idea that perhaps this may all be coincidental, however; separating fact from fiction, I tend to think that growing up as an extraverted nerd, who didn't experience the dating scene until later on could possibly be why I find myself attracted to younger men more than older men. I think this is why I tend to relate more to younger men. Then, I started to suddenly grasp the distinction that maybe, just maybe I am meeting the wrong guys and perhaps the right one is an older man?

I am very guilty of overanalyzing just about every situation that I am in. In fact, I always find myself entertaining the notion that there are holes in almost every situation. Although, this type of thinking is critical and does possess several weaknesses, as a result, it does have it's strengths, which in theory is something to value. If something is broke, you can fix it earlier, so there are not discrepancies later on. Perhaps this is why I am so picky when it comes to dating.

Most of the men that I have dated (keyword "most" hence why not "all") did not come with red flags (whether it be more baggage than the Chicago airport or more issues than Newsweek magazine). The less sum (which are in the minority and less percentile) of the men that I have dated in the past did have red flags, which is why I cut strings after recognizing such. I am a good hearted person who thinks outside of the box and sometimes my thoughts are so optimistic that they are impractical. I have to admit that I am willing to rise above it and work out problems, as long as those problems can be worked out, however; if I discover something that can't be fixed, usually that is when I say goodbye.

So, in short, I must say that despite not dating someone older than me for the past 10 years, I am very content. In fact, I am happy. I don't see this as an issue simply because I don't object to dating an older man. Just because I haven't expressed any interest, does not mean that I object. In fact, I am open to dating an older man, just as long as he is established and represents the type of man that I am looking for (Classy, Successful, Attractive, Independent, Sophisticated, Intelligent, STD Free, Drug Free, Worldly, Ambitious, Culturally Connected, Athletic, Non-Smoker, No Drama, No Baggage, etc).

An interview with an expert on Greenhouse Gas research

An Interview with an Expert on Greenhouse Gas Research
I had the perfect opportunity to interview an expert in the study of global warming. Duane asked that I respect his privacy and not post his full name. This is what he had to tell me about global warming.

Tell me some general information about yourself (what is your name, what do you do, etc) and how you are involved with the global warming issue.
I am Duane. I make the global standards for greenhouse gas research.

Some people are skeptical about global warming, in general that they are confused by it's exact definition. What is global warming?

It is better to use the term 'Climate Change' because that is closer to the effect of increasing re-radiative gases. The basis is Beer's Law of light absorption properties which 'greenhouse gases ' exhibit. These gases, Carbon Dioxide and Water being the highest atmospheric concentrations absorb some of the heat wavelengths of light and then re-radiate it, in all directions. It is a linear relationship, ie; if you double the gas in the path length, you double the effect. The greenhouse effect is that, the sunlight that reached the earth is absorbed and then radiated as heat [infrared], as this radiates away some of the air can absorb it and then re-radiate it. Half of this re-radiated energy is back towards Earth instead of out into space. Given the path length (atmospheric thickness) and temperature stays about the same, if you increase the density of this gas, you increase the heat trapped in the atmosphere. This manifests at more energy in the system, the atmosphere, which is rather thin, less than 100 mi from Earth surface to the vacuum of space.

As you are aware, global warming has been associated heavily with the sun. Can you explain how the sun is dramatically involved in global warming and it's cause and effects, as a result?

The change of energy from the fluctuation of the Sun over long time scales, is much less than the change of energy calculated, from the increased greenhouse gases combined'
http://eosweb.larc.nasa.gov/EDDOCS/radiation_facts.html

http://www.esrl.noaa.gov/gmd/aggi

I went to the library to research a variety of global warming charts from past to present. It shows that global warming's impact factor was very minimal until the 40s era. In the 1940s to the 1950s it increased and then slowly decreased to which it remained low until the present. Now, in 2007 it is the highest it has ever been. What are your thoughts on this?
First, there has always been an effect from greenhouse gases, otherwise we would be at minus temperatures like mars. When you talk of impact, it is that the changes visible in the data start to emerge from the noise of natural variability. It has varied forever. We have fairly good temperature records for about 400 K years. CO2 varied from 260 to 290 until present. Now CO2 is 380 ppm. I don't see a decrease, please send me the sites which show this. There are some temperature decreases from volcanic eruptions which returned to the trend within 5 years. The more notable are during the 80s. Remember a lot of this is new, the records are not very long compared to a geologic time frame. BUT, of the increased CO2 due to the burning of fossil fuels, half of the Atmospheric increase is from 1981 to present. Most is from 1940 to present. The 6 hottest years in the last 200 years has been the last 10 years. This is a bit suspect as the cause.

Since global warming is such an extreme issue and so current to boot, is it strongly a threat to our world?

Look this up in the IPCC assessment. Developed countries will have the means to adapt. Third world coastal sites will have the hardest time, perhaps. As a threat to our world, no, humans have not been here very long, I am sure the world will be different but not gone. It is a threat to environmental stability. If conditions change too quickly, life can not adapt.

Besides our planet, does global warming effect our health or our state of well being? If so, how does global warming effect us?

The most likely effects are larger storm systems and higher frequency of 'events' like heat waves, extreme precipitation events, tidal surges. The effect is here, some species are losing habitat, location, some diseases can survive where it used to be too cool, heat waves causing higher death rates. Permafrost is melting causing the release of large pockets of Methane [more greenhouse gas]. But are these from Climate change? Unfortunately only hindsight will tell. Once a long enough history is established, it will be too late. The physics are there, easy to calculate the we have increased the energy in the atmosphere. The question is how far do we want to go before we have no choice but to change?

It's been stated that global warming can be prevented or decreased dramatically by a variety of ways and means. How can we prevent global warming?

It can not be prevented, we have already put out a huge amount and have only seen about half of the average temperature shift. This will take a long time, perhaps 1000s of years to stabilize. Again the question is , how bad do we want to make it? There is one prevention, that is stopping the use of fossil fuels. You see even if we just kept it at todays levels of use, we put out more then 8 billion tons of Carbon Dioxide each year and have an increase of about 1.5% increase in CO2 each year. The answer is in conserving energy, burning less and wasting less.

What is one thing (or one important fact) you would like others to know about global warming?

The time for denial is over, it is time to change, Americans use twice the energy per person than any other developed country and undeveloped countries like China and India are not far behind. As a country, China now surpasses the USA in greenhouse gas emissions. America is 5 % of the global population but we use 25% of the global energy. You see if we conserved half of our energy [equaling the energy use of an average European] we can cut 12% of the global fossil fuel use! This can be done it just means living a bit differently, not worse but better as a part of the Earth ecosystem.

Family Ties, a poem

The eclectic secrets lie,
Within the universal truth.
Life originates,
Around our youth.

Through thick and thin,
Through black and blue.
We are bonded together,
The reality is true.

On every divine wavelength,
We are connected.
The thoughts we have,
Are indeed respected.

Gifted notions of parallel fantasies.
Empty waters of purity.
We may be weak, but we are strong.
In the end, we do belong.

Blood is thicker than water.
We love our father, our mother,
Our sister, our brother -
Like no other.

Three plus three plus three equals nine.
Our strengths exceed our weaknesses,
So step in line.

At least she cries,
At least he tries.
It's only part of being human -
Family Ties.

Faithful good, may always remain.
Separating fact from fiction,
Eats away at our brain.

Scorched ties that conjugate,
The light of day.
Understand the wisdom we learn,
From our family.

Universal and diversal perks,
Of being connected.
Despite the adversity we face,
We are never rejected.

Guiding our way through the desert sand.
Past, present, future tense.
Follow your heart,
Make a mense.

Exceptionally destraught and sad about nothing.
Inspirational talks and homecooked meals,
The love one receives, the love one gives,
The love one has, The love one feels.

Despite what we endure,
Those can continue to try.
We are human,
We can continue to cry.

Say your hellos' and your goodbyes'.
The bond, the ties that last forever -
Family Ties.

After giving it some serious consideration...

I have decided NOT to audition for X Factor this year. I have decided that I just want to wait until next year. I have a lot of things going on in my life and currently, do not feel as if I am ready at this point. Although I made it through last year for X Factor USA Season 1, I don't want to lay all of my eggs in one basket. I truly apologize to those that really were looking forward to me auditioning. Who's to say that I would have made it through this year. Life is unpredictable and sometimes out of our control, but if we convince ourselves that we have "it" we definitely do. Looking forward to auditioning next year for X Factor USA Season 3 in 2013.
