Get the makeup look: Julia Louis-Dreyfus at the 2016 Emmy Awards

Julia Louis-Dreyfus is one of the funniest women on the planet. And tonight she is up for lead actress in a comedy series for the fifth time in a row for the hit series Veep. As a front-runner for the Emmy's Awards, Louis-Dreyfus deserves to win tonight for her role. As she looked amazing, her personality really shined on the red carpet this evening. What really stood out was her makeup. Courtesy of her makeup artist Karen Kawahara, Louis-Dreyfus was treated to both skin preparation and makeup using La Prairie products.

So, is it possible to recreate this look at home? Absolutely.

First and foremost, Kawahara prepped the cute comedian's face using the La Prairie Skin Caviar Essence-in-Lotion followed by the La Prairie Skin Caviar Liquid Lift. She, then, applied a drop of the La Prairie Essence of Skin Caviar Eye Complex on each eye lid as a base. As she continued, she moisturized Louis-Dreyfus' skin with the La Prairie Skin Caviar Luxe Cream.

Now, Kawahara started on the makeup portion of the look. First, she applied the La Prairie Skin Caviar Concealer Foundation SPF15 in Warm Linen. She applied this product all over Louis-Dreyfus' face, but avoided the eye area. As she continued, she applied the La Prairie Concealer Brightening Eye Treatment to the eyelids followed by a dab of the La Prairie Light Fantastic Cellular Concealer.

"I like to apply concealer after the eyes are done so if I need to clean up any powder from the shadows, I can," Kawahara shared.

Taking the La Prairie Luxe Brow Liner Automatique in Brun, the celebrity makeup artist began to fill in the funny actress's brows. She brushed her eyebrows with the brush on the end, as this works to shape them and keep them looking natural.

Next, Kawahara began shaping the actress's eyes with the La Prairie Luxe Eyeliner Automatique in Brun. She applied this product around the entire eye. Taking a brush and blending it out, Kawahara applied the La Prairie Cellular Treatment Eye Colour Ensemble in Les Orchidees. Taking the mauve color, she applied this all over Louis-Dreyfus' eyelids. Then, she applied the dark braun shadow in Les Brunes, smudging this product over the eyeliner.

"This will give more depth, but is still softer than an eyeliner look," Kawahara added.

The celebrity makeup artist applied the La Prairie Cellular Treatment Mascara Instant Curl in Noir to the cute comedian's lashes. This works to both darken and thicken the lashes. Then, Kawahara added the final touch by applying the La Prairie Luxe Eyeliner Automatic in Brun to inside the eye.

Now, going back under the eye, Kawahara started swiping the La Prairie Concealer Brightening Eye Treatment under the Veep star's eye to both brighten and smooth the under-eye area. "I also like to sweep the cheek bones for a highlight," the celebrity makeup artist shared.

Taking a brush, the celebrity makeup artist dabbed into the La Prairie Cellular Radiance Cream Blush in Rose Glow. Using a circular motion over the cheek bones and towards the ear, Kawahara made Louis-Dreyfus' cheeks look like they were flushed.

To complete the look, she lined the lips with the La Prairie Cellular Luxe Lip Liner in Nude. Blending out the product with a brush, she finished the lips with the La Prairie Cellular Luxe Lip Colour in Tawny.

Congratulations. You have just recreated Julia Louis-Dreyfus' makeup look at the 68th annual Primetime Emmy Awards. #Emmys
