Numb (Linkin Park) by Sarah Afshar

Chester Bennington was a man with a voice and a message. A voice so huge, he always shined his story through his songs. When I first heard Numb, I thought it was incredibly beautiful. From Linkin Park's Meteora album, the song is about living up to the expectations of others so much, you have become lost (or numb) in life. It depicts a strong message of giving in to others, but losing yourself along the way.
The message also portrays a person who tries so hard, but fails them self. And as much as they disappoint others, they are disappointing themselves more becoming so lost, they are numb to everything around them. This is exactly what this song is about.
I decided to cover the song using my own spin. If you cannot see the video above, just click here to listen to the song. Sounds much better with headphones.
RIP Chester Bennington
