Only 10 days until Christmas

Hello everyone. I hope you are having an amazing day. You know, it just dawned on me that it is December 15th today. I have to admit, it is so hard to believe it is December. It seems like only yesterday we walked into Winter, although it is technically not Winter yet as Winter is only four days before Christmas. But to think it is already December. Christmas is only in ten days. Yes, only ten days away from today. That is only one week and three days away. And if you do the math, you will realize that the New Year is two weeks and two days away.  On a much different note, a lot has been going on in my life and needless to say, I am very happy.

It is a very cold yet gloomy day here in Idaho today. As I have been working from 9 am until 5 pm everyday, I feel extremely tired on the weekends. As much as I contemplating going to the gym today, I decided to stay home and kind of just veg out. I do have some inspiration right now and am seriously considering exporting a few articles I've written in the past for now 'defunct' publications (e.g. Yahoo! Voices, Examiner, etc.) and move them here to the blog. I know this would be a big project and I couldn't do it all today, as I have flushed out thousands of articles throughout the years. I may not get it done today, but it is something I want to at least accomplish in the near future.

I'm also thinking for dinner I want to make homemade pizza. I've ordered pizza recently and I find that no pizza places around here compare to my homemade Margherita. I make everything from the sauce to the actual dough completely from scratch. I've made homemade mozzarella cheese in the past, but that is probably the only thing that isn't homemade I would put on it tonight. At least at the moment. Buffalo mozzarella is everything and really adds something special to the pizza which is probably what I will use today.

When I was in Italy I remember how the older Italian ladies would make their sauce. They would crush up tomatoes straight from the vine, add fresh herbs right from their gardens, and place them on picnic tables in the hot sun for a day or two just to create their own paste as a sauce base. Utilizing this paste as a foundation, they would place multiple things (including more tomatoes) into a pot and cook the sauce all day long for that classic, authentic flavor. The sauce was incredible and had quite a unique flavor. Depending on where you went, some of the sauce was sweeter than the others. Some of the ladies even added red wine to their sauces, which made them even more divine. On that note, I think I will save this for a separate blog post.

Ok, so today I took the selfie I am sharing. I took it about an hour ago, as I attended my company Christmas party. Shortly before, I had to do some shopping, as I didn't have the chance to. I never know what to get during gift exchanges so I went with a practical gift anyone can use - a portable charger. I like the one from Mophie because it's convenient and lasts a long time. I have one in black and one in white and love taking them everywhere, especially when I travel.

And speaking of practical, I decided that since it is still technically Fall, I wanted to do an orange glam look that was both practical and wearable. The dress (although you cannot see) it is from Hot Miami Styles

I want to also share that for my makeup today, I used the following products: Giorgio Armani Beauty Luminous Silk Foundation in the shade 4.5, Giorgio Armani Beauty Luminous Silk Compact in the shade 4.5, OFRA Cosmetics Pro Contouring Cream PaletteBenefit Cosmetics Goof Proof Eyebrow Pencil in the shade 5, Eyeko Sport Waterproof Eyeliner, Cle de Peau Beaute Cream Eyeshadow in the shade 309, Shu Uemura Eyeshadow in M Orange 250, Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Lash Mascara in the shade Black, and Ellis Faas Hot Lips in the shade L409.

I think I want to cook now. I don't know about you, but I am hungry. Thank you for reading. Have a wonderful day!

You are so gorgeous. One of the most beautiful women I’ve ever seen. I’m usually into blondes but I love your exotic look.

Sarah, you are absolutely stunning! You have an elegance and beauty that is reminiscent of Kim Kardashian, but I'd argue that you may even be more beautiful. Your blog has been a wonderful source of inspiration to me and I can't tell you how much I appreciate it. You truly are one in a million, Sarah!
