June 2019: Beauty Favorites

ZO Skin Health Oclipse, one
of my favorite beauty
products of the month.
June was the start of a new month and a new season. Although a lot has happened this month, I felt like I went to sleep in May and woke up and it was already June, as the month went by fast. Is it just me or is this year flying by faster than usual?

As we sprung into Summer, I discovered quite few products I loved, some I hated and many I contemplated and debated whether to buy and use again. So, what are the best? What are my beauty favorites for the month of June?

First and foremost, I just want to let you know that I absolutely love the Chuda Everyday Exfoliating Cleanser. Curated by Dr. Eva Ocher of New York, I have tried so many products like this and have yet to find one as good as this one. I reach for this daily and just love this. My skin also looks and feels amazing after I use it. Trust me when I say that this is a holy grail beauty essential and a must-have for everyone looking to achieve incredible skin.

The Eterno LED Device is one of my favorite high-tech skincare devices. Utilizing red NASA LED lights, this is one of few beauty essentials I enjoy using on a daily basis. It is great for everything from fine lines and wrinkles to depigmentation and age spots to even large pores. My biggest issue has always been the sporadic acne breakout, but ever since using this device, I don't really have them much. Plus, in addition to being great for the skin, this product is great for thinning hair (and/or hair loss), depression, panic attacks and works great for curing moderate and mild headaches.

When it comes to my skin, I have always identified as having combination skin. And as my skin is a product of my environment, I feel like my skin leans towards dry during the Fall and Winter season (cold climates) and oily during the Spring and Summer season (hotter climates) which tends to be modestly conflicting because I have to change my skin care up a bit to fit what works for me. With that being said, the Pacifica Beauty Sea Foam Complete Face Wash is one of my favorites for this month. Not only is this product completely natural (which I think anyone can appreciate) it smells incredible and is non comedogenic, so it will not irritate or break your skin out. The foam factor is real also, as my skin feels extremely refreshed every time I use it.

I swear, every single time I travel I find myself reaching for the ZO Skin Health Oclipse Sunscreen + Primer SPF 30. It is one of my favorites, as it works to protect my skin. And it is extremely hydrating and still manages to combat oily. I will say that this relatively hard to find, as the product has changed it's formulation and name. The currently product has been renamed to ZO Skin Health Sunscreen + Primer SPF 30, but possesses a lighter formula than before.

When it comes to makeup, I am discovering how finicky and selective I am. Considering I have tried (and still continue to do so) virtually everything, I find myself picking and choosing wisely and separating the good, the bad and the ugly. And in my quest, I find myself really love the Stila Iridescent Glitter & Glow Set. The duo-chromatic effect paired with a long-lasting vibrant formula speaks for itself, making it one of my favorite beauty products for the month.

Another favorite for the month of June is the Mehron Highlight Pro-3 Color Palette in the shade Cool. Not only are these highlights extremely pigmented, but the color payoff is unreal. I have tried many highlighting palettes in my life, many of which were just ok and no way; whereas, quite a few slay and this, my friends, is one of the best I have ever used.

I have tried many hair masks. My hair is normal straight, but tends to lean towards combination because of it's length. I feel like during the colder seasons like Fall and Winter my hair is dry or drier and then during the Spring and Summer seasons it is oily (especially at the roots). With that said, I really love the Pai-Shau Supreme Revitalizing Mask. I love the way it makes my hair feel and look after using it. It takes a lot to impress me, but this product definitely does.

When it comes to massage oil, I really love them because most possess natural ingredients. I have tried so many and yet I find myself reaching for the Intimate Earth Aromatherapy Massage Oil in Chai. My boyfriend is from India so I really love and appreciate the powerful masala scent, although I loved chai way before I met him. The Honey Almond scent is fantastic also.

And last, but certainly not least, I absolutely love the Evolve toothbrush. I brush my teeth so many times a day (even though I probably shouldn't) and find myself always reaching for this toothbrush simply because it is literally the best. This gets every area of your teeth and isn't harsh on your enamel which I love. The best $15 I have ever spent.

I have been wanting to ask you guys, do you think I should do a hate list? I don't like being negative, but there are quite a few products I have tried that are just not good. I don't want to tell any of you who read my blog what to do with your money, but I don't want you to waste your money on certain products either. Hate is such a strong word. Perhaps a dislike or no way list? What do you think? If you think I should do a hate list, please let me know in the comments.

Stay tuned for my beauty favorites for next month. I hope you are having a wonderful day. Happy July!

May 2019: Beauty Favorites

As we Spring into Summer, we walk away from Winter for a while. At least for several months. May is one of those months I truly love, as it reminds me of why I love and appreciate Spring so much. Not only are my rose bushes starting to grow, but so everything I have planted the month before is doing so.

This month was a month of discoveries. I tried some great beauty products and even discovered some that I would match with my favorite holy grails. And although of the products I tried were just ok, some were no way too and quite a few slayed.

So, what are my favorites this month?

First and foremost, I must say that I love the Stila Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow. I have been searching for a great liquid eyeshadow. Most (not all) I have tried tend to dry up and don't possess a creamy nor long-lasting formula. These are creamy and go on smooth. They also dry to a nice pigmented finish, which I love and appreciate. Plus, you can manipulate the texture in a sense where it is easy to work with, as you can blend it without it drying too fast.

I know I have probably mentioned this product a million times already. And when I was a writer for Examiner (which is now defunct and directs to I was always raving about this. This month I am loving it more than ever. It is the Laura Mercier Tightline Cake Eye Liner. I use this eye liner with an eye primer (and it can be any eye primer) mixed with a little bit of setting spray to activate the product, as water alone tends to kind of dilute the color. Using this combination with this eye liner really makes my eyes just pop.

Tiffany Andersen is a woman with a voice, a vision and a message and it speaks in her skin care. As every single product is infused with gold, I have to tell you, I have loved quite a bit from her. However, there is one product that I love most and find myself using so much. It is the Gavee Gold Diamond Cell Salt Polish. Not only does it smell like citrus bliss, this incredible scrub is infused with authentic diamond powder and mother of pearl.

When it comes to face cream, I am extremely finicky about what I put on my face, as I have combination skin which changes depending on environment. As my skin tends to be drier during the colder climates, it leans towards oily during the warmer and hotter months. Right now I am really loving the Revive Moisturizing Renewal Cream. It contains an SPF of 15 which works to protect your skin from not only UVA/UVB rays, but actual DNA damage and environmental stressors such as pollution and wind burn. I have tried so many creams and have been really loving this one.

And lets not forget a good moisturizer for your face is vital, yes, but so is one of the body. I have tried quite a few this month. Right now I am truly loving the Lalicious Sugar Coconut Velour Body Melt. It epitomizes real bliss, as it possesses incredible ingredients, smells wonderful and makes my skin look and feel wonderful. This is great for every skin type, but a much needed pick me up for those of you with dry skin.

Giovanni Cosmetics offers some of the best shampoos and conditioners I have ever used. And I must admit that I love virtually every single product from the 2-Chic Repairing line. Not only does everything smell like coconut cream berry (which is bliss among itself) but it actually works to correct any damage done to your hair, repair it after time and prevent it from happening again. When it comes to products, I am quite selective as my hair tends to be like my skin - combination. This line is great for every hair type and will work generously to repair your hair. Plus it smells incredible.

ZOYA makes incredible nail polish. With over 400 colors to choose from, I am decided that I really love Aggie right now. As a gold holographic metal shade, the bronze micro glitter really adds depth to the color. I have worn this shade for a week and get so many compliments from it.

Until next month. These are my favorites for the month of May. Thank you for reading and have a wonderful day.

March 2018: Beauty Favorites

As the third month of the year, I have discovered quite a few thing news that I really love and enjoy. Some of them being beauty products. For the sake of not boring you with a bunch of words describing how my month went, I will get to my beauty favorites for March 2018 now.

First and foremost, I want to say that I love the PMD Personal Microderm PRO device. As a sporadic sufferer of acne and dry skin, this high-tech skin care device is total godsend to my skin. After using it, I don't even feel the need to throw heavy creams on my face. As my skin is combination, this device really delivers tried and true exfoliation. And the best part is, it doesn't irritate my skin at all. Ever since I started using this device, I don't even feel the need to exfoliate anymore. Although I must say incorporating a face scrub into my regimen isn't a bad thing. This, my friends and readers is fantastic.
Another favorite for the month that I love is the Tartelette Amazonian Clay Matte palette. The shades are extremely versatile and virtually adapt to every skin tone. The palette itself features 12 neutral shades that are essential for everyday wear. When I go to the office, I really cannot be extremely glam so I reach for this palette as often as I can. The color pay-off is excellent as the shades are modestly pigmented. Plus, it doesn't contain an array of chemicals including phthalates and sulfates which make me appreciate this palette more.
I love the NUDE Skincare ProGenius Omega Treatment Oil. When I heard that it was being discontinued as the brand itself is merging with BeautyCounter I was surprised, but not shocked as BeautyCounter is a great brand too. This product though is incredible. I don't know what is in this product, but it makes my skin look and feel amazing. I have used so much of it, I am half afraid to touch as the product is discontinued and I don't want to have trouble finding it when it is out. Hopefully BeautyCounter creates a product that is similar.
La Prairie is one of my favorite luxe skincare brands; however, as of late they are proving why they are one of my favorite makeup brands also. The La Prairie Skin Caviar Concealer + Foundation is outstanding. It is not only the perfect coverage, it is buildable, blendable and long-lasting too. It sinks into my skin like a second skin and lasts all day long. The concealer sets fast, but is so easy to work with. It truly complements the foundation. My skin looks literally airbrushed after wearing this. I just love this product so much. It is clearly my favorite for the month.
Other favorites for the month include:

The Japonesque Radiance Primer

Motives Mavens Matte Liquid Lipstick ('She's A Doll' is one of my favorite nude pink shades)Manuka Doctor ApiRefine Lip Enhancer
Grande GrandeLIPS Hydrating Lip Plumper

Alpha-H Absolute Lip Perfector
L'Oreal Paris Voluminous Superstar Mascara

These are my favorite mascaras at the moment

When it comes to mascara, I am extremely selective of what I put on my lashes. Why? Because I have tried so many mascaras. Some I loved, many I hated, and most I contemplated and debated whether or not I wanted to put them on my lashes again.

Does that make sense?

My lashes are always in need of a pick me up. My bottom lashes are naturally long, so it is hard to find a mascara that caters to them, as even most of the bottom lash mascaras simply don't do the job.

I decided to go through my mascara stash and decide which are the best. I have come to the conclusion that my favorite mascaras at the moment include: Giorgio #Armani ‘Eyes To Kill’ mascara, NARS Audacious mascara, Guerlain Cils D’enfer Maxi Lash mascara, Dolce & Gabbana ‘Passioneyes’ mascara, and Too Faced ‘Better Than Sex’ mascara

BTW, that is his my hand.

June 2017: Beauty Favorites

Today is a beautiful day here in Idaho. I hope your day is amazing today. Although I must say it is a bit hot here. The smell of potatoes and onion rings are manifesting through the air right now. I am at work taking a much needed breather from all of the hectic mental thinking I have been embracing for the last few hours I have been here. I haven't had lunch yet, but I will leaving in less than two hours to go home, so I think I can wait. I usually don't work on Sundays; however, I had a lot of work to do and my computer in my home office decided it wanted to crash, so I decided to work today.

I took a photo of the products that I am loving this month for the sole purpose of writing this blog post today. I wasn't sure if I was going to produce any content today or wait until I get home.

September 2016: Beauty Favorites

The TYME Iron, one of my favorite
beauty products for the month
of September.
September was a month to remind us that Fall is here and before you know it Winter will soon be here. As we say goodbye to Summer and fly into Fall, where we can appreciate the colorful leaves that fall from the trees and the strong scents of pumpkin, cinnamon and cedar manifesting through the air, October is a month to look forward to for many reasons. But the question remains - what about September? During the ninth month of the year, I have discovered quite a few beauty essentials that I truly love. So, what are they? What are my beauty favorites for the month?

My first favorite for the month is definitely the Cle de Peau Beaute Radiant Multi-Repair Oil. The moment put this oil on my face, I just knew it was magic. Made with precious botanicals such as peony and rare orchid, this is the perfect multi-use product. Not only is it amazing for your face, it is great for your entire body and your hair too. Plus, it works amazingly to protect, correct and even prevent your skin from getting exposed to various DNA and environmental stressors. I have tried an array of face oils and this one is my favorite right now.

If you know me, you know how much I love and appreciate Giorgio Armani Beauty's Armani Prima line. One of my beauty favorites right now is definitely the Armani Prima Glow-On Moisturizing Balm. Not only does this product provide your skin with instantaneous hydration, but the hydration it provides is long-lasting. I suffer from combination skin which tends to lean towards dry in the Fall and Winter months. This is the perfect essential for anyone with dry skin or has the same skin type as me where it leans towards dry during the colder climates. Also, after using this product for two weeks I noticed a lot of natural changes.

I love trying an array of face washes. With my combination skin, I believe trying different types wakes up my skin and keeps it looking and feeling its best. And even though I have quite a few favorite cleansers, right now I am relatively obsessed with the Boscia Detoxifying Black Cleanser. This warming gel really works to remove impurities such as dirt and oil without drying out the skin. It also works to refine the texture of your skin without destroying your skin's natural acid mantle and pH balance. I have oily skin in the Spring and Summer months and dry skin in the Fall and Winter months and this face cleanser works all year round.

Face masks are definitely important and one of my favorite things to incorporate into my skincare regimen. Recently, I have been fascinated with the VBeaute Deep Sheet Purifying Charcoal Mask. I love this mask because it makes my face feel and look amazing. Not only does it hydrate, it purifies your skin and tightens it. Great for every skin type, this mask is one to really value because it delivers true results. I have tried so many masks including sheet masks and right now this one of my favorite.

As much as I love and appreciate the entire L'ANZA Keratin Healing Oil Collection, I must say that I am obsessed with the L'ANZA Healing Hair Treatment most of all. As we fly into Fall, our hair changes naturally due to the climate and the environment in which we live. This product works incredibly to protect your hair, treat it effectively and efficient and prevent it from caving into any type of problematic hair issue which will affect it later. There is so much that needs to be said about a product that can take on your hair and prevent it from being exposed to harsh pollution and other forms DNA damage.

I have learned to love and value an array of styling tools including flat irons, curling irons, etc. Recently, I discovered the TYME Iron. Featuring 400 degree gold-plated titanium plates and a rotating swivel cord, this is one of the only few high-tech hair devices that will both straighten and curl your hair. Plus, it is gorgeous and offers a 1-year warranty. As much as I love certain hair straighteners and irons, right now I am truly loving this one most of all.

Motives Cosmetics by Loren Ridinger is one of the most underrated beauty brands in the world today. And just recently, I discovered the Motives Lip Candies. Not only do this deliciously daring lip glosses provide your lips with haute hydration and cute color, but they smell and taste amazing. With everything from Cotton Candy and Rock Candy to Milk Chocolate and Butterscotch they are fun for every age and favorite for the month.

August 2016: Beauty Favorites

Nexxus Dry Shampoo Refreshing Mist,
one of my favorites for the month of August.
It is hard to believe that Summer is almost over. Sometimes I find it hard to believe that the year is flying by so fast. Only a few weeks ago, August started and yet we are already starting September. From August 1st to August 31st 2016, I have discovered quite a few favorites that I enjoy; however, only a few stood out this month. So, what are they? What are my beauty favorites for the month of August?

First and foremost, I am very obsessed with the Annick Goutal Rose Pompon eau de toilette spray. Never have I ever wore a fragrance with such a silage of which a little goes a long way. This fruity floral embodies magic to the senses. The notes consist of blackcurrant, rose, raspberry mingle, pink pepper, musk, cedar and patchouli with a hint of pink peony. Very similar to Baby Doll by Yves Saint Laurent, I think I prefer this fragrance over that one.

As of recently, I have to admit that I am modestly obsessed with the Nexxus Dry Shampoo Refreshing Mist. Not only is this product amazing to wear alone, but it is great to spray after you shampoo. This product has combated my hair oil without stripping it. Plus, it smells quite good too. I have tried so many dry shampoos and this is definitely my favorite right now.

I absolutely love Gavee Gold! Everything from the pristine packaging to the overall gold concept. The products are not a gimmick as they truly do work and deliver quite an experience. An experience that is very much needed in virtually every woman's skincare regimen. I know I have mentioned this brand multiple times in the past; however, recently I have developed an even greater love and appreciation for the Gavee Gold Diamond Cell Salt Polish. And like all of Tiffany Andersen's products from her world renowned line, everything is infused with gold.

The PIXI Beauty Multi-Balm is one of my favorite beauty products right now and quite possibly my favorite makeup product at the moment. This stay-on cream formula works as both a cheek and lip color. It goes on light and dries immediately. I love to use these products as a transitional shade for my eye shadow too and it works amazing as contour, especially the Sheer Sculpt which is a rich cocoa shade primarily made for contouring. If you are searching for that special multi-use makeup essential, this is it.

I have tried so many different protein powders; however, recently I have garnered a huge love and appreciation for the USANA MySmartShake Plant Shake Base. Made up of healthy and unique blend of both pea and potato protein, there is about 18 grams of protein in just one serving. Although this product is gluten-free, GMO-free and vegan, the taste is exceptionally good for a plant-based protein powder. This is definitely one of my favorite beauty/health products for this month.

July 2016: Beauty Favorites

The 12-in-1 by Bellami is
one of my favorites this month.
July has allowed us to celebrate everything from Independence Day (July 4th) to Statehood Day (July 10th) and more. As a busy time for conservatives and democrats, this month also revealed two candidates who have the potential to become the next president of the United States. As a beauty enthusiast, I can appreciate a true holy grail; however, I really enjoy trying new essentials including the latest and greatest that the world of beauty has to offer. From late June into early July, I discovered quite a few beauty favorites for the month. So, what are they? What are my favorite beauty products for July 2016?

Starting off my beauty favorites for this month is the Diorskin Nude Air Luminizer Powder by Dior Beauty. Possessing a highly concentrated pearlescent shimmer that isn't too pigmented or chalky let alone invisible or non-existent, this highlighter is perfect for those looking to achieve a luminous glow. Available this August at Dior counters nationwide and on the official Dior website for $56, this is one of my favorite beauty essentials for the month of July. (Update: It is available right now at Nordstrom)

Early this month, I discovered an outstanding face mask. Brought to you by ReVive, this mask works generously to purify yourself without destroying your skin's natural acid mantle. As it works to purify your skin, it restores it by removing impurities naturally. I have tried so many masks this month and although I love many, there is something so incredible about the ReVive Masque De Glaise that I just had to share it with you. You can find this amazing gem at ReVive for $125.

I have tried quite a few bath and body products this month, including new essentials that I've never heard of. Some of them I loved, others I hated and some I contemplated and debated whether or not I wanted to put them on my skin. In my quest for the best, I discovered the LAFCO New York Nourishing Body Cream. Not only does this cream provide your skin with instantaneous hydration and moisture, but it leaves your skin feeling incredible. The scents leave a lot to appreciate. Fortified with Argan, jojoba, and shea oil as well as a plethora of other healthy ingredients, this GMO-free body cream does not contain any silicones, parabens, sulfates, or dyes. The LAFCO Nourishing Body Cream is available now at Shoptiques for $35.

When it comes to hair tools, never have I ever discovered a set with so many until the Bellami 12-in-1. This by far the largest styling kit yet. The set itself includes a 10-in-1 curler set which features 5 tourmaline wands and 5 titanium wands. The curling iron heats up in 10 seconds and features a digital temperature display, a salon swivel cord, and universal voltage. This set also includes a state-of-the-art Baci hairdryer which features two unique attachments and heat settings. Also included is the Runway Flat Styler Iron, Baci styling comb, a thermal glove and two Baci styling clips. The Bellami 12-in-1 is available at Bellami for $649.99; however, you can get over 60% off this price right now just by using the code: 12in1 which brings your total to $239.99.

I have tried so many unique and amazing nail products this month; however, if I were to choose a favorite from the bunch for this month, I would definitely say the Pro 45 Light by Red Carpet Manicure. Not only does it dry your polish in less than a minute, it makes your polish last for two weeks. Seeing is believing, so I will definitely be doing a review on this very soon, as I will with all of these favorites I mention today. Although this amazing Red Carpet Manicure addition is works best when you use their (Red Carpet Manicure) products, it will work with just about any nail polish. You can grab the Pro 45 Light at Nordstrom for $50.

When it comes to fragrance, I love one that possesses an unique scent that stands out, but isn't too powerful. I also enjoy one that has a balance of notes that work together and a powerful sillage, as I enjoy embracing "the little goes a long way" concept. Late last month, I had the privilege of discovering Rose Pompon by Annick Goutal. If you can imagine rose notes mixed with blackcurrant, pink pepper, and raspberry with a hint of peony, this is what this fragrance smells like. Plus, it's sillage is quite powerful so a little goes a long way. Available at Annick Goutal for $149, this is one of greatest fragrances I have ever smelled in my life.

One of the perks of being a beauty writer as well as enthusiast is having the opportunity to discover and try new products. One of my recent discoveries is the Iconic London EVO 001 brush. This brush is designed to adapt to the contour of your face. Made up of unique fibers, this brush ensures flawless application. I love this brush because it is so much like the Artis Oval brushes, but a little more round. You can snag the EVO 001 brush at Iconic London for $36.82.

June 2016: Beauty Favorites

The Beverly Hills highlighter from
OFRA Cosmetics, one of my favorites for
this month.
Although last month Summer was officially near, now it is officially here. And what better way to spring into the hottest season of the year than with the hottest beauty products of the month. With everything from the latest and greatest in makeup to the most significant staples of skin care and much more, my favorites for the month of June feature some of the hottest holy grails in all of beauty. So, what are they? What are my favorite beauty products for the month of June?

Starting off my favorites this month with the Too Faced Lip Injection Glossy. This lip product plumps your lips in an unique way. Available in six unique shades, this lip product is infused with an array of botanical ingredients including avocado, castor and even jojoba oil. The hydration is intensified as the color and shine are fabulous. Go big and go bold or go home. Available at Too Faced Cosmetics for $22, this is one of the best lip plumping glosses you will ever get a hold of.

OFRA Cosmetics recently launched a new highlighter called the Beverly Hills Highlighter. I am truly loving this highlighter as it is made up of five luminous shimmer slices consisting of golden bronzer, cool pink, pearly white, neutral shimmer and pinky-peach. As every highlighter delivers a different radiance, you can use them individually or together. I enjoy this luminizer because it is pigmented to perfection, giving you a true color pay-off. Plus, it s convenient, as you get five shades in a round compact. You can find this highlighter at OFRA Cosmetics for under $40.

When it comes to brows, I am very obsessed with quite a few products right now. One product; however, stands out. What is it? It's the Benefit BROWVO! Conditioning Eyebrow Primer. Infused with an array of ingredients including hydrolyzed soy protein, olive and jojoba oil, this product features a soft-touch applicator and works as both a serum and a primer. As it works to extend the wear of your eyebrow product, it also works to promote thicker brows. Amazing right? You can snag this essential at Benefit Cosmetics for $28.

I have tried an array of foundations. Some I loved, others I hated and some I contemplated and debated whether or not I wanted to use them again. I have tried quite a few luxury foundations and although I enjoyed some, others not so much. Recently, I discovered La Prairie's Skin Caviar Concealer + Foundation. This dynamic duo features SPF 15 and an unique emulsion blend that delivers natural looking coverage while enhancing the wear of your makeup. Available at Nordstrom for $220, if you are searching for a luxurious foundation that supports your skin's elasticity, you are going to love this one.

Did you ever have that one makeup brush that you always find yourself picking up every single morning? That one makeup applicator that has improved your makeup routine? About a year ago I discovered the Artis Fluenta Oval 8 Brush and have been addicted to it ever since. Made up of hundreds of thousands of fibers, this oval shaped gem is a true treasure to every makeup junkie and beauty lover. Available at Neiman Marcus for $80, this brush has been consistent through every single application, making me appreciate picking it up everyday. As much as I love my makeup brushes, right now I am really love this one.

When I first discovered the Liquid Gold Peptides serum from Gavee Gold, my obsession with this product started virtually instantaneously. The smell of apples was the first thing I noticed. As every Gavee Gold essential is infused with purified 24 karat liquid gold, my love for this product grew when I put it on my face. Not only does this product improve skin radiance and boost luminosity (as it did with mine), it hydrates and nourishes the skin. Everything in this product is natural and the best part is, this brightening serum fights oxidative stressors including DNA damage. Available at Gavee Gold for $155, no matter what skin type you have, this is one of the best serums you will ever use.

I have tried quite a few night creams this year that I find myself loving; however, since discovering the EMK Beverly Hills Supra Face Cream, I always find myself reaching for that one the most. Not only does this moisturizer hydrate the skin, it treats it too while you sleep. It works to brighten and restore your skin as well as firm and plump it. Infused with a distinctive time-release delivery system and triple action firming technology, this face cream is packed with a plethora of amino acids that work together to create real results. Available at EMK Beverly Hills for $142, this is one of my favorite beauty products right now.

Another favorite for this month is a beauty essential I discovered last year. It is the Tata Harper Beautifying Face Oil. I always find myself reaching for this product every single day and evening. Infused with an array of organic ingredients such as vegetable squalane, argan oil, calendula extract, and more, this powerful essential oil blend hydrates your skin while restoring and renewing your skin's natural acid mantle. No matter what your skin type is and what skin issue you may have, this face oil works to treat it. Available for under $50 at Tata Harper, this fabulous filler-free literally made my skin clear up and improved my skin's texture by restoring my skin's natural acid mantle and promoting cell turnover and production. As June is acne awareness month, I wanted to share this with you.

Some of the greatest beauty essentials are those rare gems that work from the inside, out. One of those beauty essentials is definitely a true favorite of mine for the month of June, the NEOCELL Glow Matrix supplement. Fortified with ceramides and an unique blend of healthy ingredients including hyaluronic acid, lutein and coconut water powder, this incredible supplement delivers moisture and elasticity to your skin in just two weeks. Packed with vitamins A, B2, B6, C, D3, E, and K2 among others, this supplement works to prevent, correct and even repair free radicals and stressors revealing the ultimate glow. NEOCELL is available at your nearest mass nutrition retailer including, the Vitamin Shoppe and Whole Foods.

Like our skin, our hair is a product of our environment. Over the years, I have discovered that my hair needs some restoration and is in need of hair health. I have used products that helped my hair. One of my latest discoveries is the StriVectin Ultimate Restore line. This line includes both a shampoo and conditioner as well as a deep repair mask and the densifying foaming treatment. As my hair has been thinning, this system has improved my hair immensely. I feel as if my hair feels and looks thicker, as it looks shiny and feels smoother too. Who knew? You can find these basic hair essentials at StriVectin your nearest retailer.

I have been a vegetarian for many years and just recently, I've discovered quite a few protein supplements I enjoy. One of my favorites this month is more of a health and wellness sort of favorite rather than a beauty favorite. It is the Nature's Food Plant-Based Fit Protein. With 28 grams of protein, 160 calories, 6 grams of fiber and 2 grams of fat per serving, this brown rice-based protein is free of preservatives, artificial ingredients, and GMO's and includes an essential amino acid blend that supports every lifestyle. And because this protein is 100% plant-based, it is vegan and does not include any synthetic flavors or dyes as well as gluten, soy or dairy. Nature's Food is available exclusively at GNC and Lucky Vitamin.

And since we are on the subject of plant-based, I have to admit that I am really enjoying the Earth Balance Olive Oil Spread. Made up of extra virgin olive oil, this vegan butter is free of lactose, gluten, casein and GMO's. It also contains 0 trans fat and is only made up of expeller-pressed oils. On top of that, it does not contain soy and contains an unique blend of flax oils. Whether you are looking to spread, fry, saute, steam, bake, and mix this alternative makes life in the kitchen that much better. Available at your nearest mass grocer, this Earth Balance addition is one of my favorites for the month of June.

After trying so many hair products this month, I have decided that it is hard to choose a favorite simply because I discovered so many great products; however, after much contemplation I think it's safe to say that I am in love with the Matrix Volume Rose Collection. Everything from the shampoo and conditioner to the styling products is outstanding. If you suffer from dry hair that leans towards the fine side, this entire collection is made for you. Plus it smells incredible. You can find the Volume Rose Collection at Matrix or at your nearest salon.

I have tried so many sunscreens and this is by far the most effective one. If you are looking for a very powerful yet potent sunscreen that does not irritate the skin, this one is for you. This sunscreen is also waterproof and is free of everything from parabens, alcohol, PABA and fragrance. It is also suitable for everyone, including those of you with sensitive skin and even children. When I first discovered Walk of Fame from Red Carpet Manicure, I guess you could say that I ultimately fell in love. Everything from the gold shimmer shade to pigment to the color produced. Plus, the shade itself is very much in season and complements every shade for Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter. This is my favorite nail polish right now. May 2016: Beauty Favorites

Colgate Optic White Platinum
High Impact toothpaste,
one of my favorites for the month
of May.
As a lover of all things beauty, I can honestly admit that I am quite the addict. And if you are anything like me, you will not only love an amazing beauty discovery, but appreciate it much more so. As we Spring into Summer, I have tried quite a few beauty essentials this month that I absolutely love. Rounding up the month of May, I have discovered quite a few favorites this month. So, what are my beauty favorites for the month of May?

I love mascara. It is one of my favorite makeup essentials. If I don't wear mascara, I feel as if my makeup is incomplete. And although I love mascara, I have never been a fan of waterproof mascara until I discovered the Too Faced Better Than Sex Waterproof Mascara. Not only does this work to define my lashes, it works to thicken, lengthen, volumize and even curl them. The best part is, it is waterproof so you can cry in it, workout in it, swim in it and you know, make love while wearing it and it will not smudge nor budge.

Located in the heart of New Zealand lies one of the world of beauty's best kept secrets, Mellow Cosmetics. Although they have created quite a few gems, their matte lipstick is a tried and true holy grail. Available in an array of shades, this amazing lipstick is not only pigmented to perfection, but moisturizing and long-lasting too. This matte lipstick is truly one of the best I have tried yet and a favorite for the month of May.

Speaking of lipstick, another one that I am really enjoying this month is the Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Color Moisturizing lipstick. Not only is this lipstick extremely pigmented, it is long-lasting and moisturizing. There is nothing worse than using a lipstick that will dry out your lips and make the color bleed. This lipstick does not do that yet lasts quite a while. Whether you are looking for a haute nude or a classic red, the color range is quite extensive. This lipstick is outstanding.

Moving onto skin care, as of late I truly loving the Tata Harper Regenerating Cleanser. I wasn't sure if I was going to love this particular cleanser or not, as I am a huge fan of the Tata Harper Purifying Cleanser (a 2015 Examiner Best in Beauty winner). I am shocked at how incredible this terrific skin treat is. Infused with a plethora of organic ingredients, this cleanser works to clarify, exfoliate, purify and moisturize your skin. What more can I say? This is definitely a winner for the month of May.

When it comes to moisturizers, I am always searching for the best; however, I have discovered some I love, some I hate, and some I contemplate and debate whether or not to use again. One of the best moisturizers I have discovered recently is the Armani PRIMA Glow-On Moisturizing Balm. This is one of the greatest skin care products I have ever used on my face. Not only does it make my skin feel smooth and dewy, but it makes it easy to apply my makeup. And on top of that, it leaves my skin looking luminous.

Lately I have been really appreciating cleansing towelettes. Most of the are relatively convenient as you can just put them into your purse and gym bag and go. There is something to be said about a textured cloth that works gently and effectively to cleanse your skin. My favorite cleansing towelettes right now are the Luminous Clean Wet Cleansing Towelettes from Pond's. Not only do these clean my skin by removing impurities, oil and makeup, but they clean it without destroying your skin's natural acid mantle and barrier.

As I move onto bath & body, I must admit that I have been modestly obsessed with the Olay Fresh Outlast body washes. Available in five amazing scent combinations, not only do they cleanse the body generously, but provide your skin with instantaneous moisture. What I love about these fabulous body washes is the fact that they cling to your skin and are quite long-lasting. You can snag these at your nearest mass-retailer.

You know what else I am loving right now? The AHAVA Mineral Botanic Cream Wash. Located in the heart of Israel, I have garnered a huge love for these body washes. Infused with an array of natural botanicals and organic plant extracts, this outstanding cleansing medium delivers vitamins directly to the skin that work to soften, smooth, moisturize and most importantly, protect your skin. Free of harsh detergents, this great for every skin type.

Another bath & body favorite for this month is definitely the beauty 360 Cocoa Butter Gel Body Oil. Exclusively available at CVS, not only does this body oil work to moisturize your skin, but revitalize your skin too. It also works to lock in moisture, which I absolutely love. Plus, it is infused with a variety of antioxidants so it works generously and effectively to boost your skin's natural moisture barrier and balance your skin's natural pH levels. It also works to prevent your skin from being exposed to various environmental stressors. If you are searching for an amazing bath & body essential this is definitely the one.

So, what about hair? Well, this month I have discovered quite a few favorites including the Vibrastrait Flat Iron from Brocato. Not only does the Vibrastrait heat up in just 8 seconds, but it automatically shuts off in 50 minutes. With various temperature settings, it heats up to 450 degrees. Made from tourmaline ceramic, the ergonomic design is one to both love and appreciate. And the best part is, there is absolutely no pulling or tugging. Available in three unique sizes including a half inch, a one-inch and a one and three-fourth inch, this is one of my favorites for the month of May.

The NutraStim Pro Laser Hair Comb from NutraLuxe MD is one of my favorite beauty products right now. This amazing device uses laser light which works to stimulate hair follicles and promote hair growth. It's quite easy to use as it features a very lustrous design. Although results don't happen immediately after one use, you will start to see results within due time. I noticed a change in my hair density, as my hair looked and felt fuller. The way a plant uses the sun to grow is the way our hair and scalp uses this device to grow. And that is truly a wonderful thing.

Well since we are on the subject of hair, I have to admit that I am obsessed with the Phyto Huile Soyeuse Hydrating Oil. With a very serum-like texture (an oil-based cream) it works amazingly to protect your hair and works to tame frizz as well as static and flyaways. When using this fantastic Phyto addition I noticed that my hair looked and felt healthier. I also noticed that my hair was easier to manage too. Free of parabens, sulfates and other chemicals almost 100% of this product is made up of botanicals which makes it that much more appealing.

Although quite a few fragrances this month have sparked my interest immensely, I have to admit that I am in love with Ralph Lauren's newest fragrance Love. If you can imagine an unique blend of red apple, rose and cotton candy the result is this fragrance. It's quite fun and great for every girl who wears it, as anyone who does will love it. I love many fragrances, as I dislike quite a few, but for the month of May today I am loving Ralph Lauren Love. Available at Ralph Lauren, this is a perfume you are going to want to check out.

One of my other favorites for the month of May is the Colgate Optic White Platinum High Impact White toothpaste. This toothpaste is literally activated within a 3-day period and after the 3rd day I noticed my smile shined, as my teeth looked whiter and brighter. It is also convenient, as it can be found at your nearest mass-retailer and it is affordable for the at-home whitening it delivers.

Another favorite this month is the Lily Cup from Intimina. I am a huge fan of the compact cup, as it is collapsible and great for traveling; however, I am absolutely loving the regular Lily Cup. It is hypoallergenic and does not contain any dryness or irritation. And although you can forget you are wearing it due to it's comfort level, it protects intimate balance and lasts up to 12 hours. Granted there are quite a few brands of pads and tampons I enjoy, right now the Lily Cup is one of my favorites.

To end my monthly favorites list I just want to let you know that I am really loving the organic drink Telula. I discovered this drink when searching for coupons that I could use at Whole Foods. Luckily in my quest, I was able to try this beverage. This drink is not only certified organic, it is GMO-free and contains no additives as well as toxic pesticides or any synthetic ingredients. Packed with an array of antioxidants and nutrients, the taste is clean and makes you feel amazing.
