Get the Look: Dior Men 2019 Pre-Fall Show

In 1947, Christian Dior had a vision to become one of the world's biggest fashion empires, when he debuted his first collection. As we look at what has become of this world-renowned fashion house, we see nothing short of panache, epitomizing only elegance in both the world of fashion and the world of beauty. And as gusto as the Dior was then, today in 2018 his legacy lives on. Dior's newest collection for Pre-Fall 2019 was designed by Kim Jones and presented in Tokyo, creative and image director of Dior, Peter Philips created a dramatic yet cyber-chic look which he says is inspired by the great science-fiction classic "TRON".

So, is it possible to re-create this look at home? Absolutely.

First and foremost, the internationally known groomer prepped the models skin. Using only Dior beauty products, his goal was to keep the models' skin as hydrated as possible. "I hydrated the skin well with the Dior Homme Dermo skincare line." Philips applied the Dior Invigorating Moisturizing Emulsion followed by the Dior Pore Control Perfecting Essence and the Dior Anti-Fatigue Firming Eye Serum.

Then, Philips used the new Dior Backstage Line and Face Body Foundation. "This foundation helps obtain even skin and a clear complexion. I like it because it has an ultra-light texture and creates and incredibly natural impression," he shared with me. To complete the makeup portion of the look, he used the Dior Backstage Brow Palette followed by the Dior Diorshow Brow Styler.

The look created was used to complement the innovative fashion designs for the collection. "I created these silver 3D designers, some of which have a rainbow glimmer to replicate the new Dior Logo created by Kim Jones for this new Pre-Fall collection," Philips shared.

As the Dior groomer continued, he applied the actual Dior logo to some of the models just on the nape of the neck. He decided to go with a more abstract approach, so Philips applied individual letters just below the ear, as well as, on the forearms, the back of the hands and even on some of the fingers. "I wanted the look to have more of a metal sheath, as my goal for these futuristic decorations was to create a very 'robotic-chic' effect," Philips added.

The hair was styled by stylist Guido Palau, who gave the models a very structured look. For this look, Palau wanted to create a very futuristic yet cyber-rock effect with controlled volume.

This completes the grooming look for the Dior Men 2019 Pre-Fall Collection. For more information visit Dior today.

Zayn Malik is one of the most popular superstars in the world. What started as an idea turned into reality for the pop star after auditioning for the X Factor. And most recently, Malik has been blowing up the spotlight with his incredible music including the famous song "Dusk Till Dawn" featuring the talented Sia after parting ways with One Direction. As you are aware, tonight is the 2018 Grammy Awards. And as one of the most talented musicians right now, Malik teamed up with one of the best celebrity groomers in the business, Joanna Simkin who not only did his skin tonight, but hair too. But the question we all want to know, how did she do his hair tonight?

First and foremost, Simkin prepped the star's hair. She started with clean hair which was not only roughly towel-dried, but slightly damp. The celebrity groomer started by applying Baxter of California's Award-Winning Clay Pomade to the reality star turned superstar's hair. Warming up the product between her palms, Simkin started applying a dime-size amount of this product to the back of Malik's head before coating the product.

"If hair is fine, use a blow dryer for some lift. Thick hair can start with damp hair for the same effect," Simkin shared. "It is key to layer the product, as this better than applying too much once," she also added.

Next, Simkin worked her fingers through the star's hair. The beauty of Baxter's of California's Clay Pomade is that once it sets, it isn't too firm so you can create virtually any style you need to.

"If you have random flyways, smooth those with a tiny amount of the pomade," the celebrity groomer shared.

Finally, to complete the hair look, Joanna Simkin applied the Baxter of California Clay Effect Style Spray to hold Zayn Malik's style.

You know him from the world renowned, reality television show the X Factor, as you know him as one of the members from One Direction. And in most recent years, Zayn Malik dipped into the entertainment industry solo with huge hits such as "Dusk Till Dawn" featuring Sia and "Keep On Rising" featuring Avicii. And tonight, he is up for quite a few awards. To prepare him for the awards, celebrity groomer Joanna Simkin prepped the talented star's skin for the red carpet this evening. The question remains; how did she do it?

First and foremost, the celebrity groomer prepped Malik's skin by both washing and exfoliating it before gently patting it. Simkin wanted to leave the reality star turned superstar's skin slightly damp. As she continued, she applied the Baxter of California Under Eye Complex to Malik's under eyes. She started from the under part of the area and worked her way towards the outer part of his eyes, applying light pressure. This worked to de-puff the star's eyes.

Then, Simkin took about a nickel-size amount of the Baxter of California Super Shape Recharge Cream and applied this product directly to Malik's face. Before she applied this product, she rubbed it in her palms to warm it up. Subtly pressing on the star's damp skin, the celebrity groomer treated Malik to a light facial massage to stimulate his skin.

"Leaving the skin damp will help additional moisture lock in and the light massage gets the circulation going to help the skin look more even toned," Simkin shared.

Finally, the celebrity groomer blotted Malik's skin with a tissue leaving his skin looking and feeling more hydrated without grease or shine.
