June 2019: Beauty Favorites

ZO Skin Health Oclipse, one
of my favorite beauty
products of the month.
June was the start of a new month and a new season. Although a lot has happened this month, I felt like I went to sleep in May and woke up and it was already June, as the month went by fast. Is it just me or is this year flying by faster than usual?

As we sprung into Summer, I discovered quite few products I loved, some I hated and many I contemplated and debated whether to buy and use again. So, what are the best? What are my beauty favorites for the month of June?

First and foremost, I just want to let you know that I absolutely love the Chuda Everyday Exfoliating Cleanser. Curated by Dr. Eva Ocher of New York, I have tried so many products like this and have yet to find one as good as this one. I reach for this daily and just love this. My skin also looks and feels amazing after I use it. Trust me when I say that this is a holy grail beauty essential and a must-have for everyone looking to achieve incredible skin.

The Eterno LED Device is one of my favorite high-tech skincare devices. Utilizing red NASA LED lights, this is one of few beauty essentials I enjoy using on a daily basis. It is great for everything from fine lines and wrinkles to depigmentation and age spots to even large pores. My biggest issue has always been the sporadic acne breakout, but ever since using this device, I don't really have them much. Plus, in addition to being great for the skin, this product is great for thinning hair (and/or hair loss), depression, panic attacks and works great for curing moderate and mild headaches.

When it comes to my skin, I have always identified as having combination skin. And as my skin is a product of my environment, I feel like my skin leans towards dry during the Fall and Winter season (cold climates) and oily during the Spring and Summer season (hotter climates) which tends to be modestly conflicting because I have to change my skin care up a bit to fit what works for me. With that being said, the Pacifica Beauty Sea Foam Complete Face Wash is one of my favorites for this month. Not only is this product completely natural (which I think anyone can appreciate) it smells incredible and is non comedogenic, so it will not irritate or break your skin out. The foam factor is real also, as my skin feels extremely refreshed every time I use it.

I swear, every single time I travel I find myself reaching for the ZO Skin Health Oclipse Sunscreen + Primer SPF 30. It is one of my favorites, as it works to protect my skin. And it is extremely hydrating and still manages to combat oily. I will say that this relatively hard to find, as the product has changed it's formulation and name. The currently product has been renamed to ZO Skin Health Sunscreen + Primer SPF 30, but possesses a lighter formula than before.

When it comes to makeup, I am discovering how finicky and selective I am. Considering I have tried (and still continue to do so) virtually everything, I find myself picking and choosing wisely and separating the good, the bad and the ugly. And in my quest, I find myself really love the Stila Iridescent Glitter & Glow Set. The duo-chromatic effect paired with a long-lasting vibrant formula speaks for itself, making it one of my favorite beauty products for the month.

Another favorite for the month of June is the Mehron Highlight Pro-3 Color Palette in the shade Cool. Not only are these highlights extremely pigmented, but the color payoff is unreal. I have tried many highlighting palettes in my life, many of which were just ok and no way; whereas, quite a few slay and this, my friends, is one of the best I have ever used.

I have tried many hair masks. My hair is normal straight, but tends to lean towards combination because of it's length. I feel like during the colder seasons like Fall and Winter my hair is dry or drier and then during the Spring and Summer seasons it is oily (especially at the roots). With that said, I really love the Pai-Shau Supreme Revitalizing Mask. I love the way it makes my hair feel and look after using it. It takes a lot to impress me, but this product definitely does.

When it comes to massage oil, I really love them because most possess natural ingredients. I have tried so many and yet I find myself reaching for the Intimate Earth Aromatherapy Massage Oil in Chai. My boyfriend is from India so I really love and appreciate the powerful masala scent, although I loved chai way before I met him. The Honey Almond scent is fantastic also.

And last, but certainly not least, I absolutely love the Evolve toothbrush. I brush my teeth so many times a day (even though I probably shouldn't) and find myself always reaching for this toothbrush simply because it is literally the best. This gets every area of your teeth and isn't harsh on your enamel which I love. The best $15 I have ever spent.

I have been wanting to ask you guys, do you think I should do a hate list? I don't like being negative, but there are quite a few products I have tried that are just not good. I don't want to tell any of you who read my blog what to do with your money, but I don't want you to waste your money on certain products either. Hate is such a strong word. Perhaps a dislike or no way list? What do you think? If you think I should do a hate list, please let me know in the comments.

Stay tuned for my beauty favorites for next month. I hope you are having a wonderful day. Happy July!

June 2017: Beauty Favorites

Today is a beautiful day here in Idaho. I hope your day is amazing today. Although I must say it is a bit hot here. The smell of potatoes and onion rings are manifesting through the air right now. I am at work taking a much needed breather from all of the hectic mental thinking I have been embracing for the last few hours I have been here. I haven't had lunch yet, but I will leaving in less than two hours to go home, so I think I can wait. I usually don't work on Sundays; however, I had a lot of work to do and my computer in my home office decided it wanted to crash, so I decided to work today.

A lot of you have been reading my blog and asking me to talk more about my beauty favorites. I have quite a few that I love. I took a photo of the products that I am loving this month for the sole purpose of writing this blog post today. I wasn't sure if I was going to produce any content today or wait until I get home.

Without further to do (because I don't want to bore you with a bunch of fluff) my beauty favorites for the month of June 2017 include:

Cosmedix Purity Detox Scrub
Pacifica Beauty Indian Coconut Nectar Hand Cream
Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater
Caudalie Makeup Removing Cleansing Oil
Goop by Juice Beauty Luminous Melting Cleanser
Eprouvage Restorative Scalp Serum

June 2016: Beauty Favorites

The Beverly Hills highlighter from
OFRA Cosmetics, one of my favorites for
this month.
Although last month Summer was officially near, now it is officially here. And what better way to spring into the hottest season of the year than with the hottest beauty products of the month. With everything from the latest and greatest in makeup to the most significant staples of skin care and much more, my favorites for the month of June feature some of the hottest holy grails in all of beauty. So, what are they? What are my favorite beauty products for the month of June?

Starting off my favorites this month with the Too Faced Lip Injection Glossy. This lip product plumps your lips in an unique way. Available in six unique shades, this lip product is infused with an array of botanical ingredients including avocado, castor and even jojoba oil. The hydration is intensified as the color and shine are fabulous. Go big and go bold or go home. Available at Too Faced Cosmetics for $22, this is one of the best lip plumping glosses you will ever get a hold of.

OFRA Cosmetics recently launched a new highlighter called the Beverly Hills Highlighter. I am truly loving this highlighter as it is made up of five luminous shimmer slices consisting of golden bronzer, cool pink, pearly white, neutral shimmer and pinky-peach. As every highlighter delivers a different radiance, you can use them individually or together. I enjoy this luminizer because it is pigmented to perfection, giving you a true color pay-off. Plus, it s convenient, as you get five shades in a round compact. You can find this highlighter at OFRA Cosmetics for under $40.

When it comes to brows, I am very obsessed with quite a few products right now. One product; however, stands out. What is it? It's the Benefit BROWVO! Conditioning Eyebrow Primer. Infused with an array of ingredients including hydrolyzed soy protein, olive and jojoba oil, this product features a soft-touch applicator and works as both a serum and a primer. As it works to extend the wear of your eyebrow product, it also works to promote thicker brows. Amazing right? You can snag this essential at Benefit Cosmetics for $28.

I have tried an array of foundations. Some I loved, others I hated and some I contemplated and debated whether or not I wanted to use them again. I have tried quite a few luxury foundations and although I enjoyed some, others not so much. Recently, I discovered La Prairie's Skin Caviar Concealer + Foundation. This dynamic duo features SPF 15 and an unique emulsion blend that delivers natural looking coverage while enhancing the wear of your makeup. Available at Nordstrom for $220, if you are searching for a luxurious foundation that supports your skin's elasticity, you are going to love this one.

Did you ever have that one makeup brush that you always find yourself picking up every single morning? That one makeup applicator that has improved your makeup routine? About a year ago I discovered the Artis Fluenta Oval 8 Brush and have been addicted to it ever since. Made up of hundreds of thousands of fibers, this oval shaped gem is a true treasure to every makeup junkie and beauty lover. Available at Neiman Marcus for $80, this brush has been consistent through every single application, making me appreciate picking it up everyday. As much as I love my makeup brushes, right now I am really love this one.

When I first discovered the Liquid Gold Peptides serum from Gavee Gold, my obsession with this product started virtually instantaneously. The smell of apples was the first thing I noticed. As every Gavee Gold essential is infused with purified 24 karat liquid gold, my love for this product grew when I put it on my face. Not only does this product improve skin radiance and boost luminosity (as it did with mine), it hydrates and nourishes the skin. Everything in this product is natural and the best part is, this brightening serum fights oxidative stressors including DNA damage. Available at Gavee Gold for $155, no matter what skin type you have, this is one of the best serums you will ever use.

I have tried quite a few night creams this year that I find myself loving; however, since discovering the EMK Beverly Hills Supra Face Cream, I always find myself reaching for that one the most. Not only does this moisturizer hydrate the skin, it treats it too while you sleep. It works to brighten and restore your skin as well as firm and plump it. Infused with a distinctive time-release delivery system and triple action firming technology, this face cream is packed with a plethora of amino acids that work together to create real results. Available at EMK Beverly Hills for $142, this is one of my favorite beauty products right now.

Another favorite for this month is a beauty essential I discovered last year. It is the Tata Harper Beautifying Face Oil. I always find myself reaching for this product every single day and evening. Infused with an array of organic ingredients such as vegetable squalane, argan oil, calendula extract, and more, this powerful essential oil blend hydrates your skin while restoring and renewing your skin's natural acid mantle. No matter what your skin type is and what skin issue you may have, this face oil works to treat it. Available for under $50 at Tata Harper, this fabulous filler-free literally made my skin clear up and improved my skin's texture by restoring my skin's natural acid mantle and promoting cell turnover and production. As June is acne awareness month, I wanted to share this with you.

Some of the greatest beauty essentials are those rare gems that work from the inside, out. One of those beauty essentials is definitely a true favorite of mine for the month of June, the NEOCELL Glow Matrix supplement. Fortified with ceramides and an unique blend of healthy ingredients including hyaluronic acid, lutein and coconut water powder, this incredible supplement delivers moisture and elasticity to your skin in just two weeks. Packed with vitamins A, B2, B6, C, D3, E, and K2 among others, this supplement works to prevent, correct and even repair free radicals and stressors revealing the ultimate glow. NEOCELL is available at your nearest mass nutrition retailer including GNCBuy.com, the Vitamin Shoppe and Whole Foods.

Like our skin, our hair is a product of our environment. Over the years, I have discovered that my hair needs some restoration and is in need of hair health. I have used products that helped my hair. One of my latest discoveries is the StriVectin Ultimate Restore line. This line includes both a shampoo and conditioner as well as a deep repair mask and the densifying foaming treatment. As my hair has been thinning, this system has improved my hair immensely. I feel as if my hair feels and looks thicker, as it looks shiny and feels smoother too. Who knew? You can find these basic hair essentials at StriVectin your nearest retailer.

I have been a vegetarian for many years and just recently, I've discovered quite a few protein supplements I enjoy. One of my favorites this month is more of a health and wellness sort of favorite rather than a beauty favorite. It is the Nature's Food Plant-Based Fit Protein. With 28 grams of protein, 160 calories, 6 grams of fiber and 2 grams of fat per serving, this brown rice-based protein is free of preservatives, artificial ingredients, and GMO's and includes an essential amino acid blend that supports every lifestyle. And because this protein is 100% plant-based, it is vegan and does not include any synthetic flavors or dyes as well as gluten, soy or dairy. Nature's Food is available exclusively at GNC and Lucky Vitamin.

And since we are on the subject of plant-based, I have to admit that I am really enjoying the Earth Balance Olive Oil Spread. Made up of extra virgin olive oil, this vegan butter is free of lactose, gluten, casein and GMO's. It also contains 0 trans fat and is only made up of expeller-pressed oils. On top of that, it does not contain soy and contains an unique blend of flax oils. Whether you are looking to spread, fry, saute, steam, bake, and mix this alternative makes life in the kitchen that much better. Available at your nearest mass grocer, this Earth Balance addition is one of my favorites for the month of June.

These are my favorites for the month of June. What are your's? #BeautyFavorites
