Kim Kardashian West has made headlines lately, as she announced that she wants to become a lawyer. A lot of people are attacking her all over social media and I cannot understand why. Perhaps it is not my duty to understand those who I am nothing like nor is it my duty to celebrate their hateful comments. I cannot understand why no one is happy for this woman and her dream to become an attorney.
Kardashian wants to take the bar exam by 2022, as this has been a long term goal for the reality star. Her father was known as one of the greatest litigators ever in the state of California, so it is evident by her reasons for wanting to practice law stem from him as the source of inspiration.
A lot of people are questioning how it is possible to become an attorney with barely any education let alone academic credentials, as most attorneys attend law school for years before ever practicing. Although the vast majority of status quo who want to become attorneys attend law school, there are quite a few who do not. Back in the 1700's, most lawyers started out as novitiates. They worked as apprentices and studied independently.
So because this study still applies today, Kardashian would only be required to take less than two years of college, but she would need to take the CLEP (or College Level Examinations Program) tests and score a 50 or higher. These tests are administered by the college board and have quite a few requirements.
Additionally, Kim would have to take two additional exams that are related to one of the following subjects: Business, Composition and Literature, History and Social Science, Foreign Language, Mathematics and Science. She would have to pass these exams with a grade of 50 or higher to practice law.
The state of California supports this type of studying. Additional states which support this particular method include: Virginia, Vermont and Washington. These four states are the only states which allow this. This level of study is a little out of the box and if I am being honest, a little unorthodox; however, it is effective and shouldn't hinder one from being successful in this field.
Although Kim Kardashian West should have no issues getting clients, there will be many that object to this simply because they don't support this level of studying. Some will not her credentials and will want someone with more experience, etc. I believe; however, Kim will do just fine. She wants to step into her father's shoes and has every right to do so. She is doing something great with her fame. She made a sex tape in her past. Why should she be judged for something that happened about 15 years ago?
I support anyone with a goal and I believe everyone has the right to achieve it, as I believe everyone deserves to be happy in whatever profession they choose. I think it would be fantastic to see her very successful with this, especially this field of study.

So, is it possible recreate Kim's makeup look at home? Absolutely.
First and foremost, Dedivanovic prepped the beautiful Kardashian's skin with the Laura Mercier Infusion de Rose Nourishing Cream. This product was used to give Kim's skin a soft, moisturized base. As Dedivanovic continued, he applied the Laura Mercier Candleglow Soft Luminous Foundation in Maple to even out Kardashian's complexion and give her a “lit from within” glow.
As he continued, the celebrity makeup artist dusted the Laura Mercer Translucent Loose Setting Powder all over her t-zone. Then, Dedivanovic contoured Kim’s hairline, nose and cheekbones using the Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Baked Powder in Bronze-03 to give her skin a sun-kissed, radiant glow.
To give the cheeks a Summer-like, peach flush, the celebrity makeup artist lightly dusted the Laura Mercier Second Skin Cheek Colour in Peach Whisper. Dedivanovic, then, applied the Laura Mercier Face Illuminator Powder in Addiction to the inner corners of Kim’s eyes and on her cupid’s bow to brighten her complexion. As he continued with Kardashian's makeup look, he dusted the Laura Mercier Face Illuminator Powder in Devotion along her cheeks to highlight her striking cheekbones.
Moving right along, Dedivanovic, then gave Kardashian's skin a warm glow using the Laura Mercier Face Illuminator Powder in both Addiction and Devotion on her chest, collarbone and legs. To finish the face, he lightly spritzed the reality beauty's complexion with Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist, giving her skin a fresh gleam.
The eyes are the mirror to the soul. To make Kardashian's eyes look sultry and bronzed, the celebrity makeup artist lightly swept the Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Colour in Sand Glow across the lid. He, then, applied the Copper shade from the Laura Mercier Eye Art Caviar Colour-Inspired Palette on the outer corners of the eye and across the lower lash line to make her eyes pop. As he continued with the makeup look, specially the eyes he applied the Laura Mercier Brow Dimension Fiber Infused Colour Gel in Brunette to the outer corners of her brows, using a mascara wand to create more drama and apply a thicker layer of product. He then colored the middle of the brows with gel, using light strokes to create a softer look.
To complete the look, Dedivanovic lined the lips with the Laura Mercier Lip Pencil in Hazelnut Tea before applying the Laura Mercier Velour Lovers Lip Colour in Sensual.

|Kim Kardashian's mile-high glam.|
So, is it possible to re-create this amazing hair look at home? Absolutely.
First and foremost, you want wash, condition and blow dry the hair. As part of the preparation, Marjan applied the Paul Mitchell Dry Wash and Spray Wax to Kardashian's hair to prep it. Now, taking the Paul Mitchell Marulaoil Detangling brush, Marjan started brushing the beautiful reality star's hair.
As Marjan continued she, split Kardashian's hair into two sections with the topmost section from ear to the crown of her head. Then, the celebrity hairstylist gathered the top section of the hair into an ultra high ponytail, leaving loose some strands around the hairline before securing Kardashian's hair with an elastic.
Then, taking the Paul Mitchell Marulaoil Classic Dressing brush, Marjan gathered the bottom half of Kardashian's hair and attached the top ponytail with a hair bungee. Next, she applied the Paul Mitchell Dry Wax throughout the length of the ponytail and rough up with fingers.
Once Marjan accomplished this, she started to twist and knot Kardashian's hair into a topknot, securing with bobby pins and french pins to hold the hair. Then, she pulled loose any stray strands around the nape of the next, before finishing the hair look with the Paul Mitchell Marulaoil Perfecting Hairspray.
Congratulations! You have just re-created Kim Kardashian's mile-high glam breakdown.

|The LuMee case.|
(Q) For those individuals who are unaware of the LuMee case, can you kind of shed some light on what the LuMee case is and what it does? Tell me a little more about the LuMee case...
A.S: Yes. The LuMee Case is the first (and patented) smartphone case to offer front facing lighting. The case has lights around the edges to create perfect lighting for the best picture. Think of a lighted make-up mirror, that bathes the user's face in soft, beautiful, professional quality lighting.
(Q) Behind every great creator, great genius lies a source of inspiration. I have to ask, what inspired you to create the LuMee case?
A.S: I have been a professional photographer for the past 25 years, photographing CEO's, United States Presidents and celebrities, so I understand the importance of great lighting. When my daughter was in her freshman year at NYU in Florence, Italy, we would Skype once a week. Her dorm room offered very little in the way of good lighting, especially in the evening. I thought, why are there no lighting solutions available, especially with so many front facing cameras and laptops. So, I rigged Christmas lights around my laptop and the first LuMee prototype was born! Other colleagues suggested transferring the technology to smart phones and we applied for our patent.
(Q) One thing that I really love about technology is the fact that it evolves faster than most things. Is it true that you really use LED lights in the case?
A.S: So true. We use small high quality LED lights to surround our case with the perfect color balance. This enables us to offer bright lights without the heat or battery drain. And yes, we have a rechargeable battery built into the case so there's no battery drain from the phone itself.
(Q) Selfies really capture the moment and are quite popular right now. How will the LuMee case improve my pictures in terms of resolution and overall quality?
A.S: Yes, indeed. One thing about smartphone cameras was that they produce a lot of noise (multi-colored pixelation) when used in low light situations. The LuMee case solves those problems. It offers a soft lighting and gives you the perfect selfie, or FaceTime or Skype session anywhere, anytime. Also it's great for applying make up on the go or just used as a functional flashlight. Very convenient!
(Q) This case if fantastic for improving pictures, but will the LuMee case protect my phone?
A.S: Thanks so much! Yes, the LuMee case is made out of a tough ABS plastic material and will protect your phone when dropped. We are constantly making improvements to our case to make it even more protective as well. We understand that it needs to be both functional and fashionable.
(Q) Why should one choose the LuMee case?
A.S: One of my pet peeves on social media was all of the bad self images, sometimes wondering, "why even bother posting that poor image?" Then I realized that the folks posting wanted to memorialize their outing or date or get together, or location, they just did not have any way to light themselves. Now, that problem is solved with the LuMee case. At the touch of a button, everyone can now have perfect, beautiful and professionally developed lighting wherever they happen to be.
(Q) For all of those smart phone users and technology junkies (including myself), what would you like them to know? What is next for the LuMee brand?
A.S: I'd like them/you to know that LuMee is not just a great product, but a great and rising Brand. We have partnered with Kim Kardashian West, who understands social media and is a fashion mogul, and Robert Pedersen II, the founder and former CEO of ZAGG, who is now our CEO.
LuMee has a focus on innovation in a perfect way like has not been done before. Look for a great new lineup this year with everything from new designs of our patented LuMee Case, to product breakthroughs and an expanded lineup. You're going to want to stay tuned!
Currently, LuMee offers smartphone cases for the iPhone 5/5S, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, and Samsung Galaxy S6. For more information visit LuMee today.
