Just The Way You Are

Just The Way You Are

Today I am going to Starbucks. During which, I was enveloped by the uplifting sounds of “Just The Way You Are” by Bruno Mars playing on the radio. This song is nothing short of extraordinary. Bruno’s vocal prowess is remarkable as he possesses one of the finest modern soul voices I’ve encountered in quite some time. I genuinely believe he is on a trajectory toward even greater success.

What adds a delightful twist to my admiration for him is discovering that Bruno is Hawaiian and of Filipino and Hispanic descent. We share the same birthday. His music exudes a timeless quality reminiscent of Sam Cooke, with a sprinkle of Michael Jackson’s magic. It’s no wonder his songs resonate so deeply with listeners around the world.

Thanks to Shazam, I was able to identify the artist before the song ended, especially since the radio jockey didn’t mention either the title or the singer. Technology truly is a marvel these days.

Call me crazy, but I feel a surge of excitement about trying to persuade Starbucks to whip up a Chai Tea Frappe for me again. I sincerely hope they consider adding it to the menu because it’s simply amazing. I think I’ll grab two just to take one to my friend Keriann. I’ll be catching up with my friend Keriann probably after I leave Starbucks and I might even squeeze in a gym session later. I’ve been committed to working out twice a day and adhering to a low-carb, vegetarian diet. My love for salads is insatiable and I can’t get enough of cheese and organic coconut water.

On a personal note, I’m radiating happiness these days. I’m in a new relationship with a wonderful man who is a UFC fighter and he brings so much joy into my life. I eagerly anticipate what the future holds for us, but don’t want to say too much yet because it’s still relatively new.

I also want to share a quick update: I was hit by a car or trailblazer last month while riding my bike to the Humane Society to take pictures, but thankfully, the injuries could have been worse. I’ve been experiencing some discomfort when sitting, but collagen supplements have made a significant difference, and I’m finally able to sit comfortably again. I don’t know if my tailbone is broken or fractured, so I will get x rays soon.

Well, I’m heading into Starbucks now. I’ll be sure to write another blog post later to share more of my life. That’s if you care to read about it. Until then, embrace life and celebrate yourself just the way you are!
