You Lost Me by Sarah Afshar

When I first heard "You Lost Me" by Christina Aguilera, I loved it. She was performing on American Idol back in 2010. She has a very unique blue eyed kind of soul. At the time, she had released her album Bionic or was going to, but she was working on the Burlesque film which was due out in the Fall or Winter of the same year. Tonight on Smule, I decided to record the song.

The song is beautiful on so many levels. And although I can say I relate to it, what I love is the story it tells. The message is extremely huge. To listen to my rendition, simply watch or listen to the video above. If it doesn't load, just click here right now to hear my rendition of You Lost Me. Also, listen to this using headphones.

This song was written by Simon Cowell

The song is called Footprints in the Sand. Originally performed by Leona Lewis, this song was actually co-written by Simon Cowell, the creator of X Factor, America's Got Talent and Britain's Got Talent. He is known for his work on American Idol, where he was dubbed as the most critical judge.

The song is so beautiful and proves Simon Cowell is a talented songwriter in addition to being an impeccable judge in the music industry. Who knew? I love the lyrics, as they send a message that virtually everyone can relate to. I'll dive deeper into this song the more I sing it. I decided to go onto Smule and record this song today.

Listen to me cover Footprints in the Sand by watching the video above. If you cannot see the video, just click here to listen now. As I recorded this using my iPhone and headphones, to hear the song clearly listen while wearing headphones.

Unchained Melody by Sarah Afshar

Unchained Melody is one of those timeless classics that you never get tired of hearing. It is just a beautiful ballad that tells a story about love and to be honest, I never ever get tired of listening to it. I took it upon myself to record it just a little bit ago on Smule straight from my iPhone. Did I mention how much I am loving this app?

Nails Inc. London in Mayfair Lane

As part of the 2013 Christmas Cracker Collection, Mayfair Lane is a stunning new addition to Nails Inc. This is a full-coverage, red glitter polish. Although the red is intense, it isn't bright and quite cool in comparison to most red shades.

As this is considered to be a nail topper used to accessorize your nails and bling up your polish, it's quite pigmented when worn alone. As you can see from the swatch, it looks like a full-coverage, red glitter polish. And when I originally swatched the above photo, I wore Mayfair Lane by itself.

Would I use this product again? As this product is great, it is not for me to wear on a daily basis. Would I recommend this nail product? Yes. As popular as this polish was in 2013, I haven't been able to find it online at all as it is sold out virtually everywhere. I'll update this review with a link when I discover one.

We Are The Champions by Sarah Afshar

Smule is definitely one of my favorite apps right now. If I feel like singing and recording it, I can simply click on the app and record virtually everything from my phone. Especially when you have a VIP membership which only costs $20 a month.

I decided to record "We Are The Champions" this evening by the amazing band Queen. This is one of the greatest tunes to exist, as it is played at virtually every major sporting event. The song really sends a true message about never giving up and if you continue to fight, you will always be the winner, the champion in the end.

If you cannot see the video, simply click here to listen to me sing this song. Listen with headphones. And yes, I recorded this from my phone.

Creep by Sarah Afshar

Radiohead is one of the most underrated bands there is. A lot of their music tells a story, yes, but what most of you do not realize is, you can relate to a lot of their songs. Thom Yorke was and will always be a story teller. Like a modern John Lennon, one of their best and most popular tunes has always been "Creep" which is filled with an array of dynamics and message many of you can understand. I know, I can.

Tonight on Smule, I decided to record Creep. I don't think anyone has ever covered it the way I have. To listen to my rendition, watch the video above. If you cannot see the video simply click here right now. To hear the dynamics, definitely listen to this with headphones.

Bohemian Rhapsody (Short Version) by Sarah Afshar

I am once again on Smule. I think I am really starting to fall in love with this app. If you love music and love to sing, you need to download it. I am recording everything straight from my iPhone. It is literally one of my favorite apps right now.

Bohemian Rhapsody is one of the greatest songs I have ever heard in my life. I've been a fan of Queen practically my entire life. I remember listening to them when I was four years ago. This song came out before I was born yet I just love and appreciate it so much.

If you cannot see the video, just click here to listen to my rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody. Keep in mind that this is the short version of the song. Remember to listen to this song using headphones, as I recorded it from my phone wearing headphones.

Pure Rayz by Baby Quasar

When I first heard about Baby Quasar, I have to admit I was intrigued by the red light therapy concept. At first I was skeptical, however, all of that changed when I tried their most recent device, Pure Rayz. So, what did I think?

Week 1

After carefully reading the instructions, I used my Pure Rayz device about 16 minutes the first time I tried it. As this device includes an automatic timer (which I admit, I love) that shuts off the device after 4 minutes, I used it on my forehead, followed by the left and right side of my face, and then on my chin area. I did this for 7 days. I noticed results, however, they were not big. I could tell that the device was working.

Week 2

I continued the pattern of using this device at the end of the day for 16 minutes. I went with 16 minutes instead of 12 minutes simply because I wanted to get the highest power of output for maximum penetration of collagen stimulation and production.

Week 3

At the beginning of the third week, I decided to go tanning, as I wanted to look radiant for my vacation. I continued using the device every single day for 16 minutes. A few hours after I would tan, I would cleanse, exfoliate, and tone my skin. I didn't use a serum or a moisturizer, as I wanted maximum penetration. I would use the device after I did a simple skincare regime before applying a serum and moisturizer.

Week 4

After using this device for 4 weeks for 16 minutes a day, I noticed that the slight depigmentation my skin endured was practically gone. I also noticed that my acne scars disappeared. The acne scars that were still visible were highly minimized by 60%.

Week 5

As I contemplated and debated whether or not to use as a serum before using this device, I still continued using it without applying anything to my face. I was starting to see incredible results. I also noticed that my skin remained clear. As a woman in her early 30s who has suffered from acne on and off her entire life, I was so happy to notice that my skin did not breakout.

Week 6

I continued using the product as directed, but decided to also use the device on other areas of the body. These areas include: neck, d├ęcolletage, breasts, arms, thighs and stomach. As I continued the regular 16 minutes for my face, I went with 8 minutes for every area to see if the collagen production would continue. And guess what? It did. I think it was the end of this week that I realized this device really works.

Week 7

I continued using Pure Rayz every single day for 16 minutes. Some days I would use a serum before using this device and other days, I would exclude one. I decided to add an additional 8 minutes as I wanted to do both eye areas, including the area under my eyes (which is extremely delicate). I also wanted to incorporate my nose area too. One thing I noticed is that I had a headache on the Thursday of this week. I placed the device on my temples and it went away.

Week 8

After using the product for 8 weeks, I noticed amazingly epic results. I noticed that some acne scars that I have been trying to get rid of were completely gone. I guess you could say that I was sublimely happy with the results I received. Would I take advantage of the 60-day guarantee? Absolutely not. Why? Because Pure Rayz works.

PROS

When it comes to light penetration, I believe this device definitely delivers more than your average red light therapy device. In fact, I find that the maximum penetration is delivered when using Pure Rayz.

What I found amazing about the Pure Rayz by Baby Quasar is the fact that it not only works to treat wrinkles, depigmentation, and even scars, it also works to prevent acne. It may not be as effective as Clear Rayz, but it definitely works.

This device includes 40 LED lights total. This includes 20 red lights, 10 amber lights, and 10 infrared lights. There are a total of four distinct wavelengths of light which work together for even clarity.

What I found so impressive with this device is the fact that it is durable, plastic, and on top of that, it comes with a bag which makes it easy to travel. It's portable and compact in a sense where it will fit into your purse and/or handbag, as well as, your general carry-on bag.

At first I was kind of skeptical about using it on my skin, as my skin is combination and tends to change depending on my environment. When I first used this device, my skin was somewhat dry, however, there would be days where it was extremely oily. With that said, Pure Rayz literally works on all skin types.

I go tanning from time to time. My natural skin tone is a medium-to-tan with a neutral undertone, but right now it's leaning towards dark with a neutral undertone. This device works so incredibly amazing with my skin right now, as it did when I first used it. Whether you are light or dark, you can benefit from using this Baby Quasar device.

There is a 5-year warranty on this device. If you look at the price of $249, you would only be spending $49.80 per year on this device. When you visit a salon that offers various red light therapy treatments, including facials and peels, you can expect to pay way more than that. So, in a nutshell, it's quite affordable.

The United States Food and Drug Administration (or FDA) has approved all of Baby Quasar's devices, including the Pure Rayz. If you are someone who follows the FDA and their regulations, you will definitely find this amazing Baby Quasar addition quite appealing.

After using the device for 8 weeks (as directed) it only takes a few days of week to maintain your results. And if you are unhappy with the results after 60 days, I have to admit that I love the fact that Baby Quasar offers a money back guarantee.

CONS

I find this device amazing, however, after using it for a week, I noticed that my skin would tend to dry out. My skin is combination due to my current environment, but it is naturally normal-to-oily. The dryness went away after using a good serum followed by moisturizer. I also incorporated exfoliation daily into my regular skincare regime to get rid of dead skin cells which also works to stimulate collagen production.

You can purchase Baby Quasar's Pure Rayz here or at your nearest Baby Quasar retailer for $199. Would I use this red light therapy device again? Absolutely. In fact, I just used it 5 minutes ago.

Would I recommend it to a friend or family member? Yes. One thing is certain, I am definitely looking forward to what the future holds with Pure Rayz because so far, the results have been astonishing.
