Merry Christmas 2018

I know I haven't been writing a lot lately, as I have been extremely busy with my life, so I just wanted to write a quick blog post wishing you all a wonderful Christmas. My original goal was to be more active with this blog, but I have been so busy with my life that I have kind of neglected that. And to my readers, I wholeheartedly apologize.

My Christmas is ok. I got quite a few things from my family and friends. We had the chance to enjoy a great breakfast. Red Velvet Pancakes, Banana Bread French Toast, Lemon Curd Muffins and a bunch of other great things including homemade orange juice and sweet tomato smoothie. And in a few hours, we (my family and I) will have a delicious dinner. I am very anxious to enjoy a Gardein Roast for the 2nd holiday dinner this year followed by an array of sides including Persian Tahdig rice, Caprese kabobs, Sweet Corn Casserole, Pineapple Salad, Pretzel Salad and more. For dessert this year, I decided to make mini lemon bunt cakes with homemade cream cheese frosting, a red velvet cake with the same frosting, masala chai gelato and chocolate chip cookies.

So, to everyone who reads my blog, I hope you are having an amazing holiday with your family, friends and other loved ones. I hope you are surrounded by flavorful food, holiday hymns and laughter. I hope that this special day brings you happiness, peace, love and joy. Remember to never stop until the goal is reached and to always think positive.

From my home to your home-Merry Christmas!

Playing PUBG Mobile on Christmas

I started playing PUBG earlier than expected today, as I wanted to take a break from the kitchen to play. It is Christmas day after all and I spent most of the early morning cooking in the kitchen. My boyfriend Sumit introduced me to this game earlier this year and I have been hooked on it since.

I don't know what it is, but I feel like I kill more people when I play solo versus in a squad, but luckily was able to garner 8 kills today in addition to the famous chicken dinner against player/user Nothinez, in spite of my entire squad dying early on.

Amazing right?

My total reward for this game was 741 BP. I received 702 in experience with a kill rating of +106 and a survival rating of +54. My total rating for today's play was +76, which is ok for playing with a squad on the Erangel map.

Today's squad consisted of Maha77f, thatbitchxxx and abdalladweik. I was also able to get the titles "Gunslinger" and of course "Chicken Master". I was also MVP for this match too. And like every match, it is always a great time playing PUBG, no matter win or lose.

BTW, Merry Christmas.

My first PUBG Solo win

Today, I took the liberty of playing PUBG in a Solo match. With four maps to choose from, I decided to play Miramar, as I was looking to go straight down the list and play all four maps, back to back. I played Erangel several minutes before this map. I killed almost 20 people (which is a record for me) and ended up dying in the playzone running towards the circle.

Crazy right?

Well, just now I can admit that I am very happy to have won my very first Solo match on PUBG. In total, I received a total of 684 BP. I also gained 830 in experience. With a kill rating of +105 and a survival rating of +55, my total rating for this match was +75.
I killed 8 players in this game total, including the final player bbk to garner the win and get the famous chicken dinner. I also received the Berserker, Gunslinger and Terminator titles.

On another note, several months ago, I downloaded the actual app for this game as my boyfriend Sumit plays, but had issues with it so I just deleted it without flinching. I never played a match at all and only entered the training room several times.

Just recently, I re-downloaded the app and decided to play. Although I was horrible the first few matches, I've become really good with time and experience playing. You win some, you lose some, but in the end it is so fun.

Only 10 days until Christmas

Hello everyone. I hope you are having a wonderful day. You know, it dawned on me that it is December 15th today. I have to admit, it is so hard to believe it is December. It seems like only yesterday we walked into Winter, although it is technically not Winter yet as Winter is only four days before Christmas. But to think it is already December. Christmas is only in 10 days. That is only one week and three days away. And if you do the math, you will realize that the New Year is two weeks and two days away.

On a much different note, a lot has been going on in my life and needless to say, I am very happy. As you are aware, I am dating a man from India. His name is Sumit. He is the same guy that I mentioned previously here on the blog in Spring, earlier this year. We have a strong connection that is a bit complex to explain in context, but easier to say in words. Does that make sense? Although I must admit, I could probably write quite a few epic love stories inspired by him. With that said, as our love continues to grow so does our connection, our chemistry, our compatibility and our communication.

It is a very cold yet gloomy day here in Idaho today. As I have been working from 9 am until 5 pm everyday, I feel extremely tired on the weekends. As much as I contemplated going to the gym today, I decided to stay home and veg out. Right now I think I may export a few articles I've written in the past for now defunct publications (e.g. Yahoo! Voices, Examiner, etc.) and move them here to the blog. I know this would be a big project and I couldn't do it all today, as I have flushed out thousands of articles throughout the years.

I'm also thinking for dinner I want to make homemade pizza. I've ordered pizza and I find that no pizza places around here compare to my homemade Margherita. I make everything from the sauce to the actual dough completely from scratch. I've made homemade cheese in the past, but that is probably the only thing that isn't homemade I would put on it tonight. At least at the moment. Buffalo Mozzarella is everything.

When I was in Italy I remember how the older Italian ladies would make their sauce. They would crush up tomatoes straight from the vine, add herbs and place them on picnic tables in the hot sun for a day just to create their own paste. Utilizing this paste as a foundation, they would place multiple things (including more tomatoes) into a pot and cook the sauce all day long for that classic authentic flavor. I think I will save this for a separate blog post.

Ok, so today I took the selfie I am sharing. I took it about an hour ago, as I attended my company Christmas party. Shortly before, I had to do some shopping, as I didn't have the chance to. I never know what to get during gift exchanges so I went with a practical gift anyone can use - a portable charger. I like the one from Mophie because it's convenient and lasts a long time. I have one in black and one in white and love taking them everywhere, especially when I travel.

And speaking of practical, I decided that since it is still technically Fall, I wanted to do an orange glam look that was both practical and wearable. The dress (although you cannot see) it is from Hot Miami Styles

For my makeup today, I used the following products: Giorgio Armani Beauty Luminous Silk Foundation in the shade 4.5, Giorgio Armani Beauty Luminous Silk Compact in the shade 4.5, OFRA Cosmetics Pro Contouring Cream PaletteBenefit Cosmetics Goof Proof Eyebrow Pencil in the shade 5, Eyeko Sport Waterproof Eyeliner, Cle de Peau Beaute Cream Eyeshadow in the shade 309, Shu Uemura Eyeshadow in M Orange 250, Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Lash Mascara in the shade Black, and Ellis Faas Hot Lips in the shade L409.

I think I want to eat now. I am hungry. Time to cook. Have a wonderful day!

He continued, "with our targeted face and body devices, we are continuing to pioneer new methods of body slimming, skin lifting and generally improved health."

Why LeBody?

The portable face device LeBody Face uses electrical ionization and micro-currents to stimulate elastin in the skin for an instant lifting effect, while absorbing active ingredients. This device also rearranges collagen and improves the elasticity in your skin while restoring your skin's natural acid mantle. All you have to do is apply the cream and gel, before taking control of the hand-held device and switching it from the blue light to the red light. Then, just go evenly over your skin with an upward stroke. The results are not only instantaneous, but long-lasting too.
LeBody Face

Not just for the face

Utilizing only EMS mid-frequency, the LeBody Form device helps increase energy consumption, so it works to burn fat components in the body by directly stimulating, strengthening and activating those muscles for only slimmer results. The application embraces simplicity and is very easy to use as all you have to do is apply the high-quality LeBody cream, place the convenient device on the problematic area, lock in the secure strap and go on about your day.

Drawing the line on Fake News

I voted for Donald J. Trump in 2016
in Idaho. Today, I have no regrets
and am proud of the decision
I made to help elect him as president.
Silence is golden, as duct tape is silver, but the human voice is platinum, are wise words to live by. And I am thankful everyday that I can use mine. You know, the voice. But where do we draw the line on fake news? Fake news is simply yellow journalism which is created intentionally to spread malicious propaganda, hoping the reader will not only fall for it, but spread the story. This is in addition to hoping the masses will follow, embracing the domino effect. Most of the time those who spread such agitprop are looking for a reaction from the reader and of course money from the clicks to story itself.

What really happens when you spread Fake News

An unidentified third-party may contact a media outlet about Donald Trump. The reporter who first heard of the story has decided they dislike Donald Trump for his past behavior, so this reporter has made a decision that they want to take the information about the president and exaggerate it to fit their narrative.

Without fact checking nor separating fact from fiction, the story then becomes amplified with untruths just because that reporter has decided they do not like Trump. Kind of like taking an original classic song and adding an array of pro tools to make it sound better when really the song sounds overproduced and worse. Now, does the song sound anymore truthful because of it's overproduction? Maybe this isn't the best example.

How about this? It is a fact school shootings have occurred in a fascist nation of the land of free and the home of the brave (the United States), but one must consider the legitimacy of their stories as according to the NPR (with the help of non-profit Child Trends) in an article titled 'The School Shootings That Weren't' there are quite a few that never even happened.

Was the intent to create a school shooting to strip away our 2nd amendment right? Guns are portrayed as being weapons used to kill, but nothing is mentioned about the strengths of a gun and how they can protect the people. Although you may or may not ever hear about this in the news, fake news will never cover the strengths of ever owning any kind of rifle or pistol. The fake news also camouflages the harsh realities and aftermath of school shootings and hurts real victims testimonies.

Donald Trump Tries To Stop It

The president of the United States, Donald Trump has been dubbed a "loose cannon" for calling out this ongoing, problematic issue. Because of this, people see him as the problem and not the solution. Instead of being thankful for Trump's ability to address these ongoing issues and want to fix them, they want to make him the issue. Why? It is a well known fact that those who continue to embrace various news outlets tend to overlook the problem at hand and go after anyone who uses their voice to challenge the problem.

When Trump originally coined the "fake news" term he was merely defending himself from the lies and untruths being spread about him. The 45th president of the United States used his liberty to defend others who are also a target of this type of disinformation spiel and went on to dispute the puff pieces created by various fake news outlets trying to push Hillary Clinton into office. And because most of these zines lack identity, it makes litigation extremely difficult to pursue.

The End Result

If a reporter creates a story with one-dimensional, aggregated news content, does that mean the reporter is right and the reader is wrong for questioning it? What if that reporter covers a story, but neglects the points they are trying to make by concealing their views with deconstructionism and banal reductionism based on opinion and heresy? As everyone has the right to free speech and freedom of press is embraced in more ways than one, does this mean they have the right to publish whatever they choose to a platform with a bigger audience? Fake news is equivocally fabricated and manipulated as well as, relentlessly mocked to not just media and journalism, but to those who are engaged and affected by it. And because of its nature, it can cause more harm than not. There are consequences to every action and it is crystal clear these consequences are inevitable to avoid.

This goes with the question we all have-where do we really draw the line on fake news?
