The TRUTH about Jaclyn Hill lipsticks

Jaclyn Hill's lipstick from Jaclyn Cosmetics.

Have you ever been so excited about something only to be disappointed once you received it? Not only was I wholeheartedly excited to try the new Jaclyn Hill lipsticks from Jaclyn Cosmetics, as I absolutely adore Jaclyn Hill, but wanted to support her brand as her products were some of the most anticipated makeup products to launch this year. Plus, the packaging is amazing. Especially for the $18 price point. But, what is the real truth about Jaclyn Hill's lipstick?

Her lipstick is terrible.

First and foremost, the formula is awful. In my many years of using lipstick, I have never used a lipstick that both crystallized and oxidized on my lips. This was so uncomfortable on my lips, I felt like I was immediately using a defective product that was sitting in a box on a shelf for years.

Only one of the lipsticks had weird fibers and debri on it. Almost reminded me of lint from an old clothing dryer. I have no idea why she would release these lipsticks and still extremely baffled as to why she would. Two of the other ones had weird discoloration forming at the base. I want to guess mold. Only one of them had nothing wrong with it.

Another thing that I found to be modestly revolting was the smell of these. The scent of this lipstick just reminds me of old lipstick sitting on a shelf in an abandoned lab. I felt like I was using a lip product sitting on a shelf for years. I don't like the smell of old lipstick and would never want to put anything on my lips that smelled like it.

The only good things that I have to say about this lipstick is the shade range. I love the nude concept, as I love wearing nude and pink shades more so than reds and plums, etc. The packaging is also bank and really gives the lipstick a much higher quality than what it is really worth.

I will still continue to support Jaclyn Hill and I am hoping that she fixes this problem. Based on reading other reviews, I am not the only one who has had this experience. As much as I want to recommend these lipsticks, I simply cannot. Perhaps she needs to pull every single lipstick she has and restart from scratch. And if the manufacturer doesn't fix this problematic issue, I would go with another manufacturer. I believe this wasn't her fault, but more so the lab's fault and I hoping for a positive resolve in a near future. With that said, I would purchase these again only if the formula was changed.

Playing Zombie Mode on PUBG Mobile

I really love playing PUBG Mobile. And recently, I have been really enjoying the zombie mode inspired by Resident Evil. Currently, there are two Evo modes available in PUBG Mobile. The classic mode is Survive Til Dawn which was the original zombie mode for PUBG. The newest addition is Darkest Night.

As both can be fun, I truly love Survive Til Dawn. This is what I am playing at the moment. My record is 100 zombie kills although I am sure I can do better. Killing players is also fun in this mode.

My current guns are the UMP9 (or Heckler and Koch UMP) and the AKM, which I am using in this particular. And as you can see I am out of bullets for my AKM, which requires caliber 7.62 mm. Do you think the combat knife will save me? One thing is certain, the UMP9 is one of the most underrated guns to exist. At least, in my opinion.

Tonight, I have a squad made up of players GrimCode, JayThePlumber, UrJustPractice and myself - Golpari. UrJustPractice died early on and GrimCode eventually lost to zombies. JayThePlumber is still alive, but seems to be quite a few meters away. Hopefully I can win this one, whether with this squad member or solo.

If you haven't played PUBG, you truly need to. It's fun and takes you on quite a journey. Definitely one of the best games I have ever played on my phone.

National Veggie Burger Day 2019

Thanks to the power of plants, veggie burgers have been made possible to consume on a regular basis. What started as an idea turned into reality for Amy's Kitchen, when the world renowned vegetarian brand started "National Veggie Burger Day" back in 2017. Veggie burgers have such an incredible impact on the environment and much healthier than their carnivore counterparts.

According to Cowspiracy, growing crops to feed animals killed for food not only consumes almost 60% of water in the United States, but contaminates the water also. Additionally one hamburger alone requires almost 700 gallons of water to produce.

And according to an article published from the book Water Resources and Industry in 2013 on Science Direct, animal agriculture is responsible for up to 33% of fresh water consumption. As 70% of the planet is made up of water, only 3% is fresh.

So the real question remains, is it possible to enjoy a plant-based rendition of this carnivore classic? Absolutely. I think the pictures I've shared, of the veggie burgers I've made speak for themselves.

To celebrate today, I ask and encourage all of you to eat and enjoy a veggie burger. From my house to your house - Happy National Veggie Burger Day!
