This is a rare, previously unreleased interview with psychic medium and clairvoyant Angela Spicer, in which she provides her profound insights into the mysterious disappearance of Natalee Holloway, a young woman from Alabama who has been missing since May 2005. Our conversation was spontaneous; Angela had no prior knowledge of the case and we connected solely through FaceTime on our iPhone 4s.
I first encountered Angela at a casino in Dillon, Montana, in late 2009 and our friendship developed over the years as she provided me with a series of readings, including profound insights into my grandmother, who passed away many years ago. Angela herself died in January of 2018 creating a significant void in many lives including my own. I miss her dearly and will continue to do so for the rest of my life.
Since our discussion in late 2014 regarding Natalee Holloway's disappearance, I have felt a compelling need to share this reading here on my blog. Although I recorded our conversation, it remained unpublished online—until now. What follows is the complete interview, presenting psychic Angela Spicer's insights into the Natalee Holloway case.
Sarah: Hello Angela. How are you? I hope you’re doing well. To provide some context, there is a case involving a young woman named Natalee Holloway from Alabama, who has been missing since 2005. She disappeared during a vacation in Aruba and has not been seen or heard from since. At the time, she was only 18 years old.
Angela: That’s so sad.
Sarah: It is. She disappeared on May 30th 2005 I do believe from the Aruba island.
Angela: Do you know if she has blonde hair?
Sarah: I think she does.
Angela: There is a young woman stepping forward with blonde hair. She said they raped her here and she is showing me what looks to be a bed in like a hotel room. I’m seeing she was drinking at a club or something, but was drugged. One of the men who did it is was one of the men who raped her.
Sarah: Are you getting any names of the men?
Angela: I’m not. At least yet. She talks with a southern accent. I am being shown what they look like. Two of the men look Hispanic or Indian. The other guy has dark brown hair and looks Caucasian. They took turns on her and she’s just lying there. It’s very disturbing.
Sarah: This is awful and very sad. I’m not sure if I want to know any details honestly. This is so triggering.
Angela: After it was over, they left her there and just left.
Sarah: Did she die? Was she dead after?
Angela: No, I’m not seeing that.
Sarah: This is so disturbing.
Angela: I see she woke up hours later. She’s not sure what happened right away, but notices something is not right. She knew she was raped I think because she smelled like men’s cologne. She also couldn’t stand and was partially bruised. I think she knew it was the three men who did it because even though she was drugged, she remembers some details from meeting them. She’s showering and crying while in the shower.
Sarah: This is so sad and absolutely terrible. My heart breaks for her.
Angela: It is. Immediately I’m getting the name Van Der Sloot. She’s saying this is the man who did it.
Sarah: The man who raped her or the man who killed her?
Angela: He is the one who did both and the brains and mastermind behind it all. She’s showing me that she went back to that club and confronted him and the two guys with him. She knew they raped her and she was going to the police.
Sarah: Did she ever say anything to the authorities there about what happened?
Angela: I don’t see that. She had planned to, but I see the plans changed. Like this Van Der Sloot guy was able to manipulate her into talking to him at a restaurant. She’s showing me that she confronted him. I don’t know if he took her on a date or she set it up thinking he would confess about it, but this actually enraged him more. At least this is what I’m seeing.
Sarah: Joran Van Der Sloot is the man most suspect is responsible for disappearance. Some people believe she’s dead; whereas, some believe she’s possibly still alive. There have been multiple theories.
Angela: She’s dead and he did it. Somehow he was able to talk her into going onto a boat he rented because that’s what she’s showing me. Almost like a yacht. The two other men involved were on that yacht I do believe with him. This didn’t change her mind because she knew what they did.
Sarah: Why would she go on a yacht with them? Was she forced to go on it?
Angela: I am not seeing her being forced. I think Van Der Sloot manipulated her into going on it as some sort of way to prove to her that he was sorry for hurting her. She didn’t think he would harm her or take her life.
Sarah: He sexually assaulted her. She knew. This is just terrible.
Angela: It is and she’s showing me she went onto the boat. Somehow during the ride she starts drinking again and he tries to come onto her. She flips out on him, accuses him of assaulting her, and he walks away. As she has her back turned he just shoots her in the back of the head.
Sarah: Are you serious? Oh my God.
Angela: Yes. I see the two men with him. They look Hispanic or Indian freaking out about what the Van Der Sloot did. Van Der Sloot is shaking and just throws the gun he used to shoot her with overboard into the water.
Sarah: What did they do to her body? Did they do anything with her body? What are you seeing?
Angela: She’s showing me that they had a wood chipper on the yacht. It looks to be a wood chipper and why it’s there I have no idea. It’s black with a red base. It looks like one of those small, cheap ones. I see this Van Der Sloot guy or so she says is Van Der Sloot and these two other men cutting her up and trying to put her body parts through it.
Sarah: This is so disturbing and diabolical.
Angela: They threw part of her body into the ocean and whatever remains that were from the wood chipper.
Sarah: Not only did they sexually assault her, they murdered her, and then got rid of her body and remains. This is so tragic.
Angela: I see the two men took the jewelry she was wearing, but later gave that jewelry to Van Der Sloot. He (Van Der Sloot ) took her wallet and the money she had in it.
Sarah: What happened to her clothes?
Angela: They threw those overboard too. Van Der Sloot kept her underwear though as some sort of trophy. They cleaned up the entire boat after and left very little physical evidence.
Sarah: The question I have that many have is—has Joran Van Der Sloot killed before? What was his motive?
Angela: Yes and I do see he did this again, but I also see him in a jump suit. I don’t know what that’s about. Is he in jail or prison?
Sarah: I do believe he’s in prison right now for murdering another woman—Nataly Flores. Are Natalee Holloway and Nataly Flores his only victims?
Angela: No.
Sarah: Are you saying he has murdered more women?
Angela: Yes. One of his victim’s is stepping forward. She’s saying she never went missing and Van Der Sloot raped her. She was going to go to the police and like Natalee Holloway and he killed her before she ever got the chance.
Sarah: Are you getting her name?
Angela: Natari? She is saying Natari. She looks of Asian descent.
Sarah: That’s the Japanese form of Natalie. I think. Is she sharing any additional details with you?
Angela: No. I think he assaulted her shortly after Natalee.
Sarah: This is absolutely horrible.
Angela: It is and I wish there were more that could be done for all of these young women too. He has a rage in his eyes. His mind is very dark and twisted. It goes way beyond being just mentally ill. His entire face changes too especially when he commits these acts. Something is in him. A demonic presence. He also seems to target women named Natalie.
Sarah: Why do you think that is? I’m just curious.
Angela: That he targets women named Natalie?
Sarah: Yes. Natari is the Japanese form of Natalie. I’m certain. It makes sense.
Angela: Let me connect and see if I can see anything. Ok, I am seeing a girl with blonde hair named Natalie who rejected him that he was friends with. Like a childhood into teen years kind of friend. He was in love with her for years, but she didn’t have the same feelings for him. He never killed her, but the rejection did something to him.
Sarah: That’s horrible, but makes logical sense.
Angela: Yeah, it is.
Sarah: Upon first encountering his identity, I sensed a troubling aura and harbored a strong suspicion that he was connected to Natalee Holloway's disappearance. While some armchair sleuths propagated theories suggesting she fell victim to sex trafficking and got involved into drugs, I found that narrative implausible. I have always thought she was murdered by Joran Van Der Sloot.
Angela: She definitely was.
Sarah: He is currently incarcerated in Peru for the death of Nataly Flores and I sincerely hope he remains behind bars. Although he may be eligible for parole in 2045, I trust that his request will be denied. It is imperative that justice is served for Natalee and his other victims.
Angela: I agree.
Sarah: Thank you for joining me today. Thank you for work. Thank you for what you do for victims and their families. My phone is about to die.
Angela: You’re welcome.
Joran Van Der Sloot is currently serving time in several Peruvian prisons for the murder of Nataly Flores and drug trafficking. He faces additional time for extortion and wire fraud. He is eligible for parole in June of 2045.
In June 2023, Joran Van Der Sloot was extradited to the United States to face additional charges involving wire fraud. In October 2023, he confessed to murdering Natalee Holloway, claiming that after she rejected his advances, he struck her with a cinder block and disposed of her body in the ocean. While Angela's account differs from Van Der Sloot's, there are some similarities. Unfamiliar with the case, she provided insights based on information presented to her through her abilities as a psychic medium.
