Ingredients

- 2 cups whole dairy milk (or coconut milk for a vegan option)

- 1 cup plain Greek yogurt (or coconut-based yogurt for a plant-based alternative)

- 2 cups sparkling mineral water (or club soda)

- 1 teaspoon Persian blue salt (or regular sea salt)

- 1 tablespoon cane vinegar

- 1 tablespoon organic lemon juice

- Fresh mint leaves (for garnish, I like to use chocolate mint)

Instructions

1. Mix Yogurt and Milk: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the whole milk and plain Greek yogurt until smooth and well combined. If you're using coconut milk and yogurt, follow the same steps to achieve a creamy consistency.

2. Add Flavorings: Stir in the Persian blue salt, cane vinegar, and organic lemon juice. Blend thoroughly to integrate all the flavors.

3. Incorporate Sparkling Water: Slowly pour in the sparkling mineral water or club soda while gently stirring. This will give your Doogh that signature fizz.

4. Chill and Serve: Transfer the Doogh to a serving pitcher and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. Serve over ice in tall glasses for a refreshing experience.

5. Garnish: Top each glass with a few fresh mint leaves before serving to enhance the flavor and presentation.

Enjoy your homemade Persian Doogh as a delightful accompaniment to grilled meats, rice dishes, or simply on its own for a refreshing treat any time of the day.
