Angela Spicer's ex Larry Coon was murdered

Larry Coon with Sandy Moore, the woman who
murdered him.
As many of you may or may not be aware, I had a friend named Angela Spicer who sadly passed away about two years ago at the age of 35. She was one of the nicest girls I have ever met. You can read about her here. I recently discovered her ex boyfriend of 6 years, Larry Coon was murdered a few days ago in Dillon, Montana by a young woman he was dating named Sandy Moore who is only 19 years old.

Truth be told, I do not like disrespecting anyone who is deceased, as I am a firm believer of letting one rest in peace; however, I must be honest when I say that Larry Coon was a scumbag. As much as I don't want to share this because I despise victim blaming in any shape or form, the truth is he use to starve Angela and lock her into a room for days without food and water. He also use to do other disgusting things which I will not share on this blog as they are far too graphic to discuss. Angela had a dark story of her own which is what prevented her from officially leaving him. Angela was also on a lot of SSRI medication and couldn't really make a decision because she depended highly on Larry. It wasn't until Clint Wegner came into her life that she finally decided to leave Larry and better her life.

A year after Angela died (last year), Larry set up multiple Go Fund Me and Patreon accounts attempting to cash in on Angela's death, when Angela didn't speak to him for years prior. And although the accounts have since been deleted, there were actual people who donated to him believing his story. He didn't have any money and was completely directionless not to mention had a thing for women who are mentally ill and much younger than him. I originally met Larry through my mother who was his boss at the time. Larry had worked at Parkview Acres Rehabilitation Center (now Pioneer Care and Rehabilitation Center) as a certified nursing assistant before leaving in 2010.

I don't know the entire backstory regarding what happened to make 19-year old old Sandy Moore snap, but according to the police reports she bragged about strangling him and killing him to multiple people before confessing to the crime to them. Then, she proceeded to hide his dead body in their laundry room under a sheet. For days she denied he was there, when people began to question where he was, including close friends of his. When police arrived at the scene, they noticed his body in between the washer and dryer with a plastic bag covering his head.

Sandy Moore has been charged with deliberate homicide. Moore exercised her 5th amendment right by utilizing Miranda rights. Additionally, 23-year old Cristina VanDuinen and 56-year old Kerry "Sam" Johnson were both charged with obstruction of justice, where both will face felony charges for their contribution to the crime. Both Moore and VanDuinen are currently being held for $200,000 bond and Johnson is currently being held for a bond of $100,000. Their cases will begin soon in district court. I also believe if they aren't tried and convicted this year, they will be next year.

Moore actually killed someone else in the Sheridan area and bragged about killing that person to multiple people, so it isn't the first time she has killed someone. Sheridan is a small town near Dillon, which is where she murdered Coon. Angela was from Sheridan, Wyoming, but unfortunately died in Nevada back in 2018.

A lot of people who lived near Coon and Moore claimed they would hear both of them fighting frequently. I believe this is true because this is his modus operandi, as he use to fight with Angela many times. Sometimes over nothing at all. I remember calling Angela on the phone and he was yelling at her because he wanted her to go to store. One time he accused Angela of cheating on him before effectuating that he wanted her to leave because he was getting back with his ex wife. Shortly after, Coon shot himself in the chin to make her feel guilty for something she didn't do. Of course, Angela felt bad for what Larry did to himself and embraced a lot of self blame for his actions. She originally published photos on her Facebook of Larry in a hospital bed, but had deleted them about a year after they both indefinitely split.

According to reports Sandy Moore killed Larry originally by strangling him. Sadly, Sandy Moore was a victim of 60-year old Rodney Lee Zahn who abducted her in 2016 when she was just 16. She has always had anger which could have been her motivation for killing Larry, although living with a person of his decorum, it just may be what originally set her off and made her snap. Either way, it is beyond sinister and I am in no way taking any sides nor defending her actions in any shape or form because at the end of the day, no matter how vile Larry is, the person who killed him is even more disgusting for killing him.

She should have just left.

I will say that the entire case is devastating and my heart goes out to the family and friends of Larry Coon. This is truly a sad way to start a new decade. What makes this even more bizarre is Angela was found dead January 12, 2018. Larry was found dead January 12, 2020.

So disturbing! I got weird chills just reading this. Where in Montana did this happen?

I am Larry’s cousin. He use to work for your mother. I remember meeting you back in 2011 at the fair. I had no idea Angela died. Our family is very sad about the passing of Larry. Larry had anger issues and a lot of his illness stems from being in Vietnam. He fought in Vietnam. He was a real hero.

Sandy Moore could have been the next Aileen Wuornos but she was just way too stupid.

Sandy Moore Is from Sheridan, Montana. She was a nice girl but had severe developmental delays. She had a hard family life and was actually abducted when she was younger. Sheridan Montana has 700 people, it’s weird that nobody’s ever been missing. We don’t know that Sandy actually said that! That came secondhand from the other girl. It’s a sad situation all the way around. She should have never been anywhere near Larry Coon! You can say what you want, but I know a lot of great men in my life, and none of them are 49 years old sleeping with 19-year-old handicapped girls!

Was Angela Spicer slow? I’m thinking Sandy Moore is slow or mentally challenged but smart enough to get away with murder.

Anonymous @ 12:56, you are a liar. If he fought in Vietnam he would be in his 80’s. He was 49 years old when he was murdered.

Larry is a bad person. He got Sandy hooked on meth. I knew her and she wasn’t doing meth until after she got with Larry. She is innocent until proven guilty.

Wow... if she was mentally disabled her parents should have gotten guardian ship over her to protect her. The facts are she was posting on Facebook stating “she was doing meth and giving blow jobs to a 56 year old man also named Larry and she liked it.” She also stated Larry Coon was nothing but nice to her. She tried to “take her life” and “he saved her.” She literally wrote “she didn’t know what she was going to do to Larry Coon on Saturday so she could continue to have sex and do meth with Larry Wood.” AGAIN,if you were all so concerned where were you? In her mugshot she doesn’t seem to have a scratch on her also in the news reports it never mentions she had any kinds of signs of abuse. Larry Coon was lonely and she took advantage of him! Stop blaming the victim!

As a family member of Larry Coon it is difficult to read all of this after his death. Clearly he made bad choices when deciding to get involved with a 19 woman. To be clear he wasn’t a Vietnam veteran but was in the Navy. I think it’s important to note though that if he was abusing women there are organizations that can help or going straight to the authorities would be the best outlet for the women. Regardless of what the truth is nobody deserves to be murdered and their life cut short. I hope that all involved in his murder are prosecuted fully.

I first met Larry Coon at Parkview Acres Rehabilitation Center (I think it is now Pioneer) as my mom use to be a boss there. She was his boss for years. He was very nice when I first met him. At the time he was working as a certified nursing assistant. He was working there for years before he hurt himself. I do believe he quit around 2009-2010 and was on disability shortly after, as I use to see him and Angela walking around town when I lived there. One time he was walking with a wooden cane. My mom was his boss. I saw him at the casino (I do believe it was Dotty's), which was across from my house at the time. It was in 2009 I met Angela Spicer. I technically met Angela through him, as Larry was an employee of my mother's and I just so happen to be at the casino playing poker.

Larry did have issues; however, I do agree, no one deserves to lose their life regardless of their decorum, especially at the hands of another person. I definitely do not believe he deserved to die. My reasons for disliking Larry are because of how he treated Angela throughout their relationship; however, my dislike for him does not dictate nor define the facts or the narrative. Larry did not deserved to die, especially in the way he did. My prayers go out to Larry and Larry's family.

Larry Coon was crazy but he didn’t deserve to die. I hope she spends life in prison but I’m sure because she’s a retard she won’t get many years if guilty. At least life. Prayers going out to his family.

i knew Larry from when I worked at a hotel . I learned of Larry's attempted suicide from him and knew there was mental health issues before he conveyed that part of his life to me. The gal that killed him clearly had mental health issues also. I do believe the little gal that allegedly helped kill him was homeless @ one point and has mental health issues also. No one deserves to be murdered. All of these people in this murder has had severe mental health issues and police seemed to ignore it all. Where was this young lady's family at during the meth addiction? Larry was not a horrible guy. Larry was a drug addict, severe mental health issues, that were not addressed correctly. Just as these young ladies in the narrative. The whole scenario is unbelievable and hopefully everyone on both sides get closure to this tragic story.

Larry was a bad person. I knew him personally. When I first met him he was nice but in all honesty he is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. There is so much I want to write. There are many things I can write but he’s dead so it won’t solve anything.

Larry abused her. She admitted to me that she took a rope when he had his back turned and strangled him. She told me he attacked her and afterwards when he walked away she took a rope and strangled him. She’s unstable and unwell but Larry was also not a saint.

Sandy Moore got the max sentence--40 years. She will never again be free, & we are safe from her. Good riddance to bad rubbish. Youre welcome.

Larry and I had a friends with benefits relationship and I was perfectly fine with that. If he wasn't happy in a relationship, he knew who to call. He called me about a week or so before Sandy killed him. I didn't go to him because I'm in a very committed relationship and I would never cheat. I was never in any relationships when we were together. I was his way of getting out. We were there for each other when we needed each other. In the on and off time we were together, he never abused me. Not one time. And we never argued. I had been with him enough times to know he wasn't a bad person and he made me laugh. I miss and love him like crazy.

Also, he isn't the one who got Sandy hooked on meth. It was a Larry, just not that Larry. She said his last name in a Facebook post on one of her profiles that I'm sure has been deleted by now. It was a very, very graphic post.
