March 2020: Beauty Favorites

March Beauty Favorites
March has been a surprising month. In the center of the coronavirus commotion, all I can think of is washing my hands, brushing my teeth, washing my hair, and taking the essential vitamins to prevent myself from getting the deadly virus COVID-19. I have been working from home, yet this isolation has made me feel relatively sad and even depressed knowing what is going on in the outside world.

Sadly washing your hands, brushing your teeth, washing your hair, and taking the essential vitamins will not prevent this affliction from invading your life; however, staying in isolation will. I have had the coronavirus before. It wasn't this strain of COVID-19, but it was a coronavirus as I was diagnosed. Antibiotics didn't help me at all. After suffering for over a week with a fever, fatigue, pneumonia, dry cough, weakness, and my tears coming out of my mouth, I took peppermint oil and shoved it up my nose. I was completely healed only a few days later. Although most people are against this advice (including relatives who are in the medical field), the person who I caught this from was sick for months after before finally recovering. She was a healthcare professional who was around a patient with this. Within only a few hours of being around this person, I caught it. To avoid talking more about my experience, I will save this for another blog post.

I have tried to practice yoga and meditation besides working, but find myself saddened by the reality of what this COVID-19 has created and caused. Perhaps I am agitated by the relentless fear mongering I see all over the news about the spread of it or feel defeated because it is holding me back from some of my goals for 2020. Although I have family visiting, the harsh realities have taken a major toll. With virtually every town and city around me shutting down, all I can think about is how this will affect the world long-term. What are the repercussions of this plague and how many people have to die before there is an actual cure for it? How will this change us as a species? There are no real answers, and that is scary.

Most of my favorites for the month include vital toiletries and vitamins, which are essential right now. I can't pretend to be happy when I am saddened by what is going on in the world right now. Without further ado, here are my beauty favorites for the month of March.

These are vitamins that I am currently enjoying. I don't take them everyday, but do take them often. They are very beneficial to human health and serve as a wonderful preventative for the COVID-19 Coronavirus.

Sea Buckthorn is one of the healthiest supplements on earth. As one of the highest sources of vitamin C, this heavily potent antioxidant serves as one of the best preventative mediums. It contains 15 times much per 100 g than an orange. Which, my friends, is a lot.

Taking the proper measures is extremely important; however, it will not prevent this virus from invading your system simply because this is a viral virus. This is viral, so even if you take the proper measures to avoid getting sick, you need to avoid touching your face. It is also important to wear a mask if you are out in public to avoid contact. Eating plant-based foods is important and make sure to wash every single food you purchase. Even if you have to use a little bit of soap on them. What we put into our bodies is who we are. It is very important to consume only clean foods.

I have been around a few people who caught the coronavirus earlier this year including one of my mother's friends who ended up with COVID-19 shortly after frequenting a cruise ship. I have not caught this strain, as of yet. I do encourage those who leave their homes to wear a mask and sunglasses. I also advise upon returning to wash your hands, brush your teeth, and take a shower. After washing your hair, use an oil-based hair treatment and/or serum followed by a styling product with alcohol to kill any additional germs. Avoid touching your face at all unless you have washed your hands and used some sort of hand sanitizer product.

The world is a beautiful place. In a time of sadness, sometimes it is very hard to believe, but it is something you must always remember. The United States has the most known cases of this virus, but not of the deaths. In a few days it will be April. As dark as the world is at the moment, one can only hope that the light manifests and there is a cure for the COVID-19 before more people die from it. Hopefully they will find a cure soon and the earth's ozone layer will recover also.

Jai Mata Di.

This is indeed a very sad and worrying time for all of us. So interesting to read that you had contracted a variation of Covid 19 and the way you recovered. I do like the choices you have selected to showcase for March and find the supplements interesting that you say will help prevent contracting this terrible disease. Let's hope as a global community, we will be able to find a way to defeat coronavirus before too long.

Great post, I am also taking many supplements to boost my immune system and like to use different essential oils to alleviate symptoms. Although the best bet to fight against this is for us to all stay at home.
