I recently found myself at Costco, a place known to be quite chaotic even on a busy afternoon. Amid the hustle and bustle, a woman approached me, offering a sample of Zena Nutrition's Liquid Collagen Biotin. Intrigued by its claims of being GMO-free, sugar-free, and gluten-free, I decided to give it a shot. The sample tasted good (not great, but consumable) and I left the store with two bottles, eager to incorporate this product into my daily routine.
However, my excitement quickly turned to frustration when I got home. Upon opening the first bottle, I was greeted by an off-putting smell and taste that can only be described as spoiled or rotten. Surely this couldn’t be right? I opened the second bottle and to my dismay, it was just as disgusting. Determined to get to the bottom of this, I returned to Costco and exchanged my bottles for a new one. Guess what? The third bottle was equally repulsive.
Not willing to accept defeat, I purchased the same product from another retailer, thinking it might be a Costco issue. To my utter disbelief, the taste was still horrendous. What is going on here? I can’t help, but feel frustrated and betrayed as a consumer. I recall enjoying the sample at Costco, but the bottles I bought were a completely different experience.
This is particularly infuriating because I’ve had nothing, but positive experiences with other Zena Nutrition products. Their powdered collagen is fantastic and the super greens are phenomenal. So, what happened with the Liquid Collagen Biotin? Is it a problem with spoilage, a change in the formula, or just a lack of quality control?
As a consumer, I am a simple woman, but I expect consistency, especially from a brand that touts its commitment to quality. This experience has left me questioning whether Zena Nutrition can maintain the standards I’ve come to appreciate. I sincerely hope they address this issue, as I want to continue supporting a brand that has previously delivered great products.
If you’ve tried the Liquid Collagen Biotin, I am curious to know your experience. Is it just me or has anyone else encountered this alarming inconsistency? It’s time for Zena Nutrition to step up and clarify what’s going on with this product before they lose the trust of loyal customers like myself.
