Candace Owens Has Officially Lost It

Candace Owens Charlie Kirk

In the ever-evolving landscape of media and public discourse, few transformations are as striking as that of Candace Owens. Once celebrated as a formidable journalist and independent investigator, Owens has recently veered into the realm of radical conspiracy theories, leaving many of her former supporters bewildered and concerned. As I am one of them.

Her fixation on Brigitte Macron’s gender was already a cause for concern, but it now seems like a mere footnote compared to her latest, more disturbing claims. Owens has taken to social media to assert that there is a conspiracy surrounding the supposed assassination of Charlie Kirk, implicating both Erika Kirk and even President Trump. This narrative, fueled by her apparent resentment over not being invited to a funeral or memorial and alleged gag order, raises serious questions about her current state of mind and mental state overall.

Candace stated, “as soon as they give you a holiday, they kill you.” Is she genuinely unaware that Tyler Robinson had a troubling obsession with Charlie Kirk, was an avid gamer who engaged in first-person shooting games, and explicitly expressed his desire to harm Charlie on Discord? Or is she deliberately attempting to implicate innocent individuals, including those in mourning, to exploit this narrative for personal gain? It’s disheartening. Come on, Candace! You have the potential for so much more. What has led you to this? Then, Candace calls out Erika Kirk and proceeds to question, “what kind of widow would not want the truth?” She also made it clear that Charlie came to her in a dream and told her he was betrayed.

What has happened to Candace Owens? Like what has happened to her? It’s as if she has become a shadow of her former self, echoing the conspiratorial language that has become all too familiar in fringe circles. I can’t help, but wonder if she’s been influenced by QAnon enthusiasts or other armchair sleuths who thrive on sensationalism. These individuals often muddy the waters of genuine inquiry and it appears Owens is now regurgitating their fabrications as if they were gospel truth to her millions of followers.

This trajectory is reminiscent of figures like Alex Jones, who once wielded a platform for meaningful discourse, but have since devolved into a purveyor of unhinged claims. The danger lies not just in the spread of misinformation and lies, but in the real-world consequences it can have on vulnerable individuals. I speak from personal experience; my mother was drawn into the web of conspiracy theories with some of them propagated by Owens and Jones. She believed in QAnon, dismissed the severity of COVID-19, and ultimately refused vaccination. The tragic outcome of her choices serves as a serious reminder of the potential harm that can arise from unchecked misinformation and theory. My mother died of the coronavirus and I will always believe that QAnon played a role in her death.

The dark side of social media amplifies these dangerous narratives, ensnaring those who are already struggling with anxiety and depression will believe everything little thing they hear. It’s heartbreaking to witness how easily misinformation can take root in vulnerable minds, creating a domino effect that can lead to devastating consequences.

I disagree with Candace Owens and I genuinely hope that Candace Owens takes a moment to reflect on her current trajectory. There is still time for her to reclaim her voice and return to the insightful journalist she once was. Is that person still there or is she gone? If she continues down this path, she risks becoming a cautionary tale, much like Alex Jones—unhinged and devoid of credibility.

Candace, the world needs your critical thinking and incisive commentary, not your descent into conspiracy. It’s time to step back, reassess, and remember the impact your words can have. The potential for change is still within reach and I hope you find your way back to the truth.

She’s a major grifter these days. More so than she’s ever been.
