"There comes a time a life when you simply have to focus on the present, as well as, the future and rise above any negative you have endured in your past. If it means forgiving people who have hurt you, so be it because after all, life has a gift, it is called the present" - Sarah Afshar

"When people belittle you, they are only belittling themselves. When a person creates drama and/or problems for you, they are creating them for their self. When people laugh at you, they are only laughing at themselves. When a person bullies, harasses, or intimidates you, they are only doing it to their self. The reality is, no one can define you, but you, so every time a person feels entitled, just remember their words define them, not you" - Sarah Afshar

Embrace the beauty of the present, the gift that life gives you. - Sarah Afshar

Bruce Lee has been dead for almost 40 years today

I fear not the man who has practiced 10000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10000 times. - Bruce Lee, 1940-1973

Although my father bared a modest amount of influence to why I love martial arts as much as I do, Bruce Lee has influenced me to practice martial arts. Seeing him at 5 years old on the big screen was just fascinating to me because in theory a real martial artist appearing in movies is/was quite the rarity. Bruce was truly a force to be reckoned with and there will never be anyone like him. Bruce, you may gone, but never forgotten. RIP Bruce Lee.
