Cee Lo is definitely spinning in the holiday spirit. Taking us to Christmas
in Fall, Cee Lo has managed to deliver a holiday album with great covers of
holiday classics. Whether you are dreaming of a "White Christmas" or
are looking forward to "This Christmas" Cee Lo's Magic Moment is
here.
Mary Did You Know was done in a hauntingly beautiful way. It is like a combination of symphonic rock soul with a very faint theatrical aura. I felt like I was listening to someone who put all of their soul into making this song work. To be honest, I knew Cee Lo Green was incredibly talented vocally, but I was unsure he would be able to pull off this classic Christmas song. Needless to say, I was wrong. Cee Lo Green is a rock who has so much soul to make a roll.
I thought that Cee Lo's original song "All I Need Is Love" featuring The Muppets was cute and fun for the holidays. At first, it didn't even sound like a Christmas song until you hear the muppet asking Cee Lo what he wants for Christmas. The song has the potential of being a major hit, if marketed properly.
Overall, I didn't think I was going to be so impressed with this Christmas album presented by the talented Cee Lo Green because in actuality releasing a song that only possesses one original tune usually speaks failure. Cee Lo took a lot of classic holiday songs and made them his own, but still managed to present us with a different side of him while remaining true to his soulful, alternative rock roots. I don't know about you, but I liked the album.

My favorite song on Cee Lo's Magic Moment is definitely "Run Rudolph
Run" which is done with so much funk and soul, you cannot help but love
it. It's a very popular up-tempo Christmas tune, but Cee Lo changed the melody
a bit making it a little slower than the original. It has a lot of depth, which
makes it a tune to really groove to.
I think my second favorite song is "All I Want For Christmas" because it's so unique. To be honest, I thought this song was destined to fail because it's such a big song and not many people can pull it off, however; Cee Lo managed to do a wonderful job. Not only did he nail the song technically, but totally commanded it. His projection and delivery, made you believe what he is singing.
