Cocktail Recipes: Afshar

Created by Sarah Afshar, this delicious drink was inspired by the essence of some of Sarah's favorite liqueur savors. These savors include some of the finest flavor pairings into one drink. The Afshar possesses a rather fluent, yet acquired taste that combines the essence of almonds, cocoa, and light cream with a light spicy cinnamon undertone.

Afshar

2 oz. Amaretto Liqueur (preferably Disaronna)
1 oz. Kahlua
1 oz. Hazelnut Liqueur (preferably Frangelico)

1 oz. Irish Cream Liqueur (preferably Bailey's) 1 oz. Goldschlager
3 oz. Milk
1 oz. Cream

Combine the Amaretto liqueur (or Disaronna), Kahlua, Hazelnut liqueur (or Frangelico), Irish Cream liqueur (or Bailey's), Goldschlager, and Milk. Please take note, if you are a vegetarian/vegan, you can substitute the Milk with Soy or Almond Milk. 



Once you have combined all of the ingredients, mix moderately, then add the cream. If you are a vegetarian/vegan, use a soy/almond based cream, rather than dairy. Please note that each ounce (or oz.) is equal to one part. The Afshar has a total of 10 parts.




Finally, serve Afshar in a chilled highball glass on the rocks with a maraschino cherry, as a garnish.
