You probably remember her as being a member of the pop girl group Pussy Cat Dolls, but what you don't realize is Jessica Sutta has branched out as an artist of her own. As a singer, songwriter, and dancer; she is on the verge of doing good things in the entertainment industry. In fact, her album Feline Resurrection launches this Fall. Recently, I caught up with Jessica. Here is what she had to tell me.

Sarah Afshar: Hello Jessica. How are you? First and foremost, I just want to say that I am a huge fan. I remember years ago listening to the Pussy Cat Dolls and I remember seeing a video and I was like-I wonder who that beautiful redhead is. I have been a fan of the band, so it is so wonderful to finally talk to you.

Jessica Sutta: Awwww, thank you.

Sarah: A lot of people, fans have been wanting to know what happened to the group and they want to know what you have been up to.

Jessica: Well, I have been working on album called Feline Resurection which is due to be out this Fall. It has been such an amazing journey and I have been really focusing on my music. I have been performing and I started touring, as well. Las Vegas, Atlantic City, Chicago, etc. I am very excited about that. I have kept in contact with the girls. I haven't had the chance to talk to Nicole. But Kimberly, I was in her wedding and she just had a baby not too long ago. The Pussy Cat Dolls was an amazing experience that we all got to go through. We are family.

Sarah: I have to ask Jessica, will your music have the same sound as the Pussy Cat Dolls? What kind of sound can we, the fans, expect to hear in Feline Resurrection?

Jessica: The music will sound similar, but for me, music is entirely different for me now. As a solo artist, this a brand new element for me. I am working with amazing people, as well. I spent a lot of time perfecting my voice the best that I can. It's definitely different from when I was with that group. With this album, I really wanted music that is diverse. I have ballads. I have a song that features an amazing guitar part. I have a lot of R&B influences on my album. I'm working with a producer in the UK. He is so amazing and has such an amazing ear. He is also very creative, as well. So, I am really excited to share with the world this new album.

Sarah: I am so excited about this new album.

Jessica: Thank you so much.

Sarah: You know, a lot of people know you as a good dancer. Of course, you have contributed a lot to the Pussy Cat Dolls, as well. It was a group thing, a group effort. No one has really had the chance or opportunity to hear you sing yet which is so exciting. I am so excited for you to get your album out there and for people to actually hear you. The world needs to know, you are back and you are ready.

Jessica: Absolutely.

Sarah: Now talking about influences, I have to ask, who inspires you?

Jessica: Right now, Jennifer Lopez. I am fascinated by her entire career. Everything she has done is amazing. She is also a fighter, which I admire. She has also developed her voice last years. I just love that she shows everyone who she is. I have learned so much from that. I really loved Paula Abdul and Debbie Gibson. They were like my dream idols when I was little. I also love Janet Jackson.

Sarah: That is amazing. Have you ever had anyone tell you that you could not accomplish your dream?

Jessica: My father told me that I could not sing when I was little even though I loved it. When my father told me that, it was very heartbreaking to me because when I was little, I had a passion for music and the arts. It was quite a challenge for me to not have that support system. So, for me to perfect my voice and develop confidence in my voice was hard.

Sarah: You are such a multi-talented woman and you are literally one of the best dancers ever.

Jessica: Thank you so much.

Sarah: Now, I have to ask you Jessica, what are your guilty pleasures? Whether you have a favorite TV show you like to watch or food to eat. What are they?

Jessica: I love this question. You know, I am a huge Sex & the City fan. I just love it. I have watched it a thousand times and it just never gets old. I also love to watch Family Guy and American Dad. It is just so fun. It's like a ritual. It's so funny. The things they get away with, I can't believe it. When it comes to food, I love Skittles. I am so obsessed. I just love them.

Sarah: What is your favorite type of music to listen to? What are some of your favorites in general?

Jessica: I love Rihanna. I think she's incredible. I love Beyonce. I really love Nicki Minaj. I listen to a lot of house music and house mixes. A lot of mixtapes. I really like Wiz Khalifa. He's so real. I really admire people who are true their art. People who you can tell they are real and what they are singing is coming from the heart as opposed to fabricated.

Sarah: If you could work with just one person or anyone in the industry, who would you work with and why?

Jessica: This is a hard question. I think I would love to work with Britney Spears. The old Britney Spears from 2000 because what she was back then is the reason I do what I do today. So, if I could go back 15-16 years and work with Britney Spears I would definitely do that.

Sarah: That is amazing. I love Britney Spears! She is such a good person. She's had her struggles, but in spite of the adversity she's endured, she makes herself better. She is only human after all.

Jessica: I agree. That is a big reason why I can relate to her. You can have major sympathy and empathy for her, for what she went through. Of course she had a mental breakdown. She had no control of her life at the time that happened. What she went through was devastating. She is such a beautiful soul and a true fighter. She is an amazing mother, as well. I admire everything she has done and still continues to do for music.

Sarah: What advice do you have for those people that just want to give up? Whether they are a musician and artist or simply a person who suffers from depression. What advice do you have for them?

Jessica: In anything you do in life, you will have a struggle. It is part of the game. It is so important to never give up and lose yourself along the way. Everything happens for a reason and it is all apart of the journey.

Sarah: What is next in store for you? Tell the world, what is next for Jessica Sutta?

Jessica: There is a lot of stuff in the pipeline right now, that I am so excited about, but cannot reveal right now. If you follow me on social media you will see what I am up to.

Sarah: Do you have social media? Are you on Twitter?

Jessica: Yes, I am @JSutta on Twitter.

Sarah: That's great! It was such a pleasure speaking with you today. I truly enjoyed it. Anything else you would like to add before we conclude today's interview?

Jessica: Feline Resurrection comes out this year. It is a full length album which I am very proud of. We worked really hard on it. You will all get to hear me and what is coming from my heart, as well.
