Janelle Monae is one of those incredible talents that you just need in music. When I first heard "TheArchAndroid" back in 2010, I just knew she was destined to be a star. As you are aware, tonight is the 60th annual Grammy Awards. Monae looked eccentrically chic. As her hair looked amazing, her makeup shined. The beautiful talented star teamed up with celebrity makeup artist Jessica Smalls for a glam makeup look inspired by Twiggy.

"I wanted to give Janelle a timeless and current look at the same time, so I decided to give her a Twiggy 2018 vibe," Smalls shared.

So, is it possible to re-create this look at home? Absolutely.

First and foremost, the celebrity makeup artist prepped Monae's skin. Yesterday to be exact (Saturday) she wanted to use a few products to prepare Monae for the awards tonight. The celebrity makeup artist decided to use the Kiehl’s Turmeric & Cranberry Seed Energizing Radiance Mask to help brighten her skin's appearance. Then, earlier this evening, Smalls decided to decided to take the gorgeous glow Monae exuded to the next level by giving her a light 5-minute steam. As she continued, she massaged the Kiehl’s Powerful-Strength Line-Reducing Concentrate all over the beautiful star's face and along her neck. Then, she applied the Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream. As the celebrity makeup artist continued, she applied the Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado around her eyes, using her ring finger, to keep that delicate area moisturized.

As the celebrity makeup artist continued, she applied a pore minimizing primer all over her face using a synthetic brush. Then, she mixed the Buxom Cosmetics Show Some Skin Weightless Foundation in shade In the Dark with the Buxom Cosmetics Divine Goddess Luminizer using a damp sponge. Starting by Monae's nose and blending upwards and outwards, Smalls applied this all over her face. Using her ring finger, Smalls sparingly dabbed some Concealer under her eyes to brighten them. Then, she contoured the star's face, focusing on her cheeks, temples and forehead with the Buxom Cosmetics Hot Escapes Bronzer in shade Maldives. To finish her face, the celebrity makeup artist applied a soft pink to the apples of her cheeks, with some Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream on top for a subtle glow.

Smalls wanted to give Monae a beautiful, bold makeup look that made a statement. For this particular look, she applied the Buxom Cosmetics Eyeshadow Bar Single Eyeshadow in shades Lingerie Lover, Haute Couture and LBD to her crease, using a soft blending brush. Then, she lined her water line with the Buxom Cosmetics Hold The Line Waterproof Eyeliner in shade Ring My Bell and swept the Buxom Cosmetics Eyeshadow Bar Single Eyeshadow in shade Twilight Tryst on top to make the green pop. To finish the eyes, the celebrity makeup artist decided to go with the Eylure Luxe Silk “Trillion” false lashes before applying a few individual lashes on the bottom for a “Twiggy” effect. To complete the look, she used the Buxom Cosmetics Big Tease Plumping Mascara.

To complete the entire look, Smalls hydrated Monae's lips with the Kiehl’s Lip Balm #1 and filled them in slightly with the the Buxom Cosmetics Plumpline Lip Liner in shade Stealth. She finished the makeup look with the Buxom Cosmetics Full-On Lip Polish in shade Megan.

Congratulations! You have just re-created Janelle Monae's makeup look for the 60th annual Grammy Awards. #Grammys
