Get the Hair: Kate Spade NYFW Fall 2019

Backstage at the 2019 Kate Spade
show at NYFW
for Fall 2019.
As New York City was a rather gloomy day today, what really spiced up the big apple was Kate Spade's newest fall collection. Everything from the unique styles as well as use of prints, it is everything that is expected from a Kate Spade collection. Fun and fabulous was definitely brought into creation of this collection. And earlier this evening, Kate Spade proved why she was truly an iconic woman of fashion as she was clearly a woman with a vision, a vision that will last a lifetime in the world of fashion.

Although the styles were fantastic, the makeup looked great. However, it was the hair which really complemented the models, the style and in short - brought the designs to life. Compliments of Odile Gilbert, the TRESemmé NYFW Stylist, the hair was the real winner of the show. And for several years now, TRESemmé has been the official hair sponsor of the biggest fashion event in NYC.

So, is it possible to re-create this hair look at home? Absolutely.

First and foremost, the TRESemmé NYFW Stylist started by washing the models' hair with the TRESemmé Keratin Smooth Shampoo and TRESemmé Keratin Smooth Conditioner. She wanted to create a very sleek yet smooth foundation, hence why she chose these two terrific TRESemmé additions.

Next, Gilbert parted the models' hair. She applied the TRESemmé Thermal Creations Blow Dry Accelerator Spray shortly before taking a round brush and fully blowing out the hair. She continued by pulling the hair directly down, as her goal for this hair look was to create individual sections, giving the models for the Kate Spade show a very sleep and smooth appearance.

As she continued, she applied the TRESemmé Keratin Smooth Heat Protect Spray to simply protect the hair and prevent damage. Taking a large curling iron courtesy of ghd, the celebrity stylist gently wrapped the ends of the hair inward just before letting go, creating a soft curl. This added extra bounce and body to the models' hair.

To finish the look, Odile Gilbert sprayed the TRESemmé Compressed Micro-Mist Hold Level 4 Hairspray to the models hair.

“To get this polished and sophisticated look, blow dry the hair straight and then use a curling iron to tuck the ends of the hair inwards, creating a smooth and chic finish. Lock the look in with the TRESemmé Compressed Micro-Mist Hold Level 4 Hairspray,” Gilbert shared.

As she lightly misted their hair, the celebrity stylist mentioned that she did this because she wanted to add a glossy finish to the hair and to keep the hair in place without the stiffness that most hair sprays tend to create.

Kate Spade was a world-renowned designer who created a $2.5 billion fashion empire directly from her NYC apartment. And although she is gone, she will never be forgotten as her legacy will remain forever. RIP Kate (1962-2018) #NYFW

Today is the 2019 Golden Globe Awards held at the Beverly Hilton located in the heart of Beverly Hills. So much is going on this evening as many talented people are up for quite a few awards including, Lady Gaga who has been nominated for several tonight. The talented and beautiful actress, singer, songwriter and producer stunned the red carpet wearing a pastel blue Valentino gown inspired by Cinderella. As mother monster's makeup looked amazing, most of us could not get over how glamorous and chic her hair looked.

Tonight Lady Gaga's hair was styled by the world-renowned, celebrity stylist Frederic Aspiras who used quite a few products to make her hair shine for the star's biggest night.

Aspiras shared with me, "First, I used the Joico Blonde Powder Lightener to create the brilliant blonde look." In addition to this particular product, the celebrity stylist shared that he used the Joico Color Intensity in both 'Sky' and in 'Rose' mixed with a clear mixer to create a Cerulean Blue, which complemented Gaga's Valentino dress.

As the world-renowned stylist continued, he used the Joico Blonde Life Brightening Veil throughout the star's hair. Then, he continued by combing through her hair. "I took the ghd detangling comb and combed through her hair. Then, I used the ghd natural bristle radial brush in size 1 and did a full blow-out using the ghd air hair dryer." Using high heat, Aspiras, then ran the ghd Platinum+ Styler through Gaga's locks before applying the Joico Body Shake Texturizing Finisher throughout her hair.

Using the ghd oval dressing brush, the celebrity stylist put her hair into a ponytail before wrapping her hair into a partial half bun, leaving her hair parted to each side of her hair. Then, Aspiras curled the ends of the hair using the ghd soft curl iron.

To finish the look, the Aspiras applied the Joico Humidity Blocker Finishing Spray.

Will Lady Gaga win tonight? I don't know about you, but if 'Shallow' doesn't win the Golden Globe Award, I don't think I would trust this awards show.

Congratulations! You have just re-created Lady Gaga's hair look for the 76th annual Golden Globe Awards. #GoldenGlobes

Get the Hair: Zayn Malik at the 2018 Grammy Awards

2018 Grammy Awards.

Baxter of California)
Zayn Malik is one of the most popular superstars in the world. What started as an idea turned into reality for the pop star after auditioning for the X Factor. And most recently, Malik has been blowing up the spotlight with his incredible music including the famous song "Dusk Till Dawn" featuring the talented Sia after parting ways with One Direction. As you are aware, tonight is the 2018 Grammy Awards. And as one of the most talented musicians right now, Malik teamed up with one of the best celebrity groomers in the business, Joanna Simkin who not only did his skin tonight, but hair too. But the question we all want to know, how did she do his hair tonight?

First and foremost, Simkin prepped the star's hair. She started with clean hair which was not only roughly towel-dried, but slightly damp. The celebrity groomer started by applying Baxter of California's Award-Winning Clay Pomade to the reality star turned superstar's hair. Warming up the product between her palms, Simkin started applying a dime-size amount of this product to the back of Malik's head before coating the product.

"If hair is fine, use a blow dryer for some lift. Thick hair can start with damp hair for the same effect," Simkin shared. "It is key to layer the product, as this better than applying too much once," she also added.

Next, Simkin worked her fingers through the star's hair. The beauty of Baxter's of California's Clay Pomade is that once it sets, it isn't too firm so you can create virtually any style you need to.

"If you have random flyways, smooth those with a tiny amount of the pomade," the celebrity groomer shared.

Finally, to complete the hair look, Joanna Simkin applied the Baxter of California Clay Effect Style Spray to hold Zayn Malik's style.

Get the hair look: Emily Blunt at The Girl on the Train NYC premiere

Emily Blunt always stuns the red carpet and this evening is no exception. The British beauty looked amazing in a green Prada dress. As her makeup really shined and complemented the look, her hair really brought the entire look together. Courtesy of Ashley Streicher for StriVectin HAIR, the stunning starlet was treated to an outstanding hair look to complement her custom dress.

"Emily is wearing a custom Prada dress tonight. Because it’s quite classic, Jenn [makeup] and I definitely wanted to modernize her look a bit with hair and makeup, wearing her cute new bob down," Streicher shared.

So, is it possible to recreate this hair look at home? Absolutely.

First and foremost, Streicher prepped Blunt's hair using the StriVectin HAIR Color Care Shampoo and the StriVectin HAIR Color Care Conditioner. Then, she sprayed the StriVectin HAIR Color Care Vibrancy Booster.

Once the hair was clean, the celebrity stylist applied a few pumps of the StriVectin HAIR Ultimate Restore Densifying Foaming Treatment directly to Blunt's roots. Then, she applied the StriVectin HAIR Max Volume Bodifying Radiance Serum through the ends of her hair before combing through the hair.

Taking a small-to-medium round brush, Streicher began to blowout Blunt's hair. Not for volume, but more so for texture. Once the hair was fully dry, Streicher created a strong side part using a rat tail comb. Then, she used a dry textured spray at the roots only and avoided the ends of the hair.

As she continued, Streicher chose random pieces of Blunt's hair. Then, she went over the hair wave with a flat iron. Taking pieces of the hair, the celebrity stylist tucked pieces of hair behind the stunning starlet's ears. She, then, kept waves from her face with setting clips until Blunt walked out the door.

To finish the look, she sprayed a strong-hold hairspray.

Congratulations! You have recreated Emily Blunt's hair look for 'The Girl on the Train' New York City premiere.

Get the look: Kate Hudson at the Deepwater Horizon premiere

Kate Hudson really embraced a red hot style last night for the premiere of her new movie Deepwater Horizon. The beautiful starlet stunned the red carpet in a tomato red romper accentuated with a matching throw jacket. As Hudson epitomized a true siren style, the Deepwater Horizon hottie was treated to a makeup and hair look to complement her entire style by celebrity makeup artist Debra Ferullo and celebrity stylist David Babaii.

"I was inspired to create a soft eye as the main focus to complement dewy skin, soft lips and Kate's amazing lashes," Ferullo shared about the inspiration behind the makeup look.

"Kate's look tonight is super chic and cool. I wanted to give her a rock-n-roll vibe and opted for a very textured look with a bold center part. It is so hot here in New Orleans so the products were key here to beat the Humidity," Babaii said about the hair look.

So, is it possible to recreate Hudson's hair and makeup? Absolutely.

Makeup

For Hudson's gorgeous glow, Ferullo used the Physicians Formula #instaReady Beauty Balm BB Cream SPF 30 in the shade Light/Medium. This product was initially used to prep the skin. As the celebrity makeup artist continued, she applied the Physicians Formula #instaReady Contour Trio SPF 30 BB Stick in Bronze onto Hudson's forehead and the hallow of her cheeks. Then, she applied the Physicians Formula #instaReady Contour Trio SPF 30 BB Stick in Blush to the apple of the actress's cheeks. To complete the face, Ferullo used the Physicians Formula #instaReady Filter Trio BB Powder SPF 30 to set the entire face.

As Ferullo continued, she applied the Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Custom Eye Enhancing Extreme Shimmer Shadow & Liner in Copper Nude. The celebrity makeup artist added a subtle swipe of the cream shade on Hudson's lid. On the bottom lash line, Ferullo used the brown shimmer shade. "Kate has incredible lashes," she added. "I wanted to make them stand out as the focus of her look."

To complete the entire makeup look, the celebrity makeup artist created her own custom shade of lipstick for the Deepwater Horizon hottie using a Kryolan lip palette. She mixed a few bronzed colors together to perfect a bronzy gold lip color that sparkled.

Hair

First and foremost, you are going to want to prep the hair. For this look, Babaii used the Kerastase Paris Bain Chronologiste followed by the Kerastase Paris Creme Chronologiste. On Hudson's wet hair, the celebrity stylist applied the Kerastase Paris L'incroyable Blowdry Lotion all over. Not only does this product fight frizz, but smoothes the hair and ensures the hair is protected.

As the celebrity stylist continued, he rough dried Hudson's hair. Once her hair was dry, he parted the hair down the middle and started misting the Kerastase Paris Elixr Ultime Bi-Phase Spray Oil all over.

Once Babaii did this, he started to create little bends throughout Hudson's hair using a 1" curling iron. He wanted Hudson's hair to take on a very texturized look that was undone and natural. Babaii's goal was to wave Hudson's hair in different directions.

Then, he ran his hands through the waves of her hair to break them up. Taking the Kerastase Paris Elixr Ultime Bi-Phase Spray Oil, the celebrity stylist sprayed this onto Hudson's hair again. Babaii added that he loves this oil because it is lightweight and doesn't leave your hair looking or feeling greasy.

To finish the entire hair look, Babaii sprayed the Kerastase Paris Laque Dentelle on a toothbrush and brushed away any flyways the Deepwater Horizon hottie had.

Deepwater Horizon will be coming to a theater near you Friday, September 30, 2016. Congratulations! You have just recreated Kate Hudson's makeup and hair look for the premiere of her new movie Deepwater Horizon.

Primetime Emmy Awards.

As Priyanka Chopra shined on the red carpet at the Microsoft Theater Sunday night, the beautiful actress made a statement in a red, custom-made designer dress. Chopra's makeup was one thing; however, her hair was on another level. Chopra was treated to a very glamorous sleek and chic style courtesy of Castillo, her go-to designer.
"Since the dress was custom-made, I really wanted the hair to be cohesive with the vision of the designer - sleek and chic," Castillo shared.
So, is it possible to recreate this hair look at home? Absolutely.
First and foremost, Castillo washed Chopra's hair with the MOP Mixed Greens Shampoo. The celebrity stylist went with a moisturizing shampoo as this works to withstand humidity and heat from styling tools.
As the celebrity stylist continued, they used the MOP Pear Detangler. After applying the product, Castillo combed through Chopra's hair to untangle and eliminate any frizz. Then, Castillo applied the MOP Mixed Greens Leave-In Conditioner. Then, Castillo added a little bit of the MOP Lemongrass Lift.
Next, the celebrity stylist started to rough blow dry the exquisite beauty's hair using the ghd Air Hairdryer until it is about 80% dry. Then, Castillo brushed through the hair with the ghd Paddle Brush to take out any tangles.
Taking a tail comb, Castillo, then created a side part. Now taking sections of the hair, the celebrity stylist started to flat brush blow dry the hair straight. Then, went over each section with the ghd Platinum Styler.
As Castillo was done straightening Chopra's hair, the stylist took a dollop sized amount of the MOP Orange Peel Molding Cream and coated the root to mid shaft of the side of her hair. Then, Castillo brushed the product through with a finishing brush before twisting it behind her ear and down the nape of her neck.
Castillo continued to repeat this technique and gather hair into a ponytail. As she repeated this same technique, she secured it with a hair bungee and wrapped a section of hair around the bungee to conceal it.
To finish the hair look, Castillo sprayed the MOP C-System Firm Hair Spray around the hair line and around the ponytail.
Congratulations! You have just recreated Priyanka Chopra's hair look at the 68th annual Primetime Emmy Awards. #Emmys

Get the hair look: Julia Louis-Dreyfus at the 2016 Emmy Awards

Julia Louis-Dreyfus stunned the red carpet Sunday evening in a beautiful and chic Carolina Herrara gown. As the Veep star is up for an Emmy tonight, we can only hope the cute comedian takes home the award tonight. As her makeup really stood out, her hair did too. In fact, her hair really complemented her entire outfit. Celebrity stylist Matthew Monzon for StriVectin Hair teamed up with the Seinfield alumni for an easy, playful with a hint of whimsy style which brought the entire look together.

"Upon seeing the gorgeous Carolina Herrara gown, as a collective we decided the hair needed to be somewhat easy, playful and with a bit of whimsy. We went with Hollywood glamour, but loosened up to make it feel a bit more modern," Monzon shared.

So, is it possible to recreate this hair look at home? Absolutely.

First and foremost, Monzon shampooed the funny beauty's hair with the StriVectin HAIR Color Care Shampoo and the StriVectin HAIR Color Care Conditioner. Then, he sprayed the StriVectin HAIR Max Volume Root Lifting Spray directly to Louis-Dreyfus's roots. As he continued, he applied the StriVectin HAIR Ultimate Restore Densifying Foaming Treatment through the mid-shafts and ends using a wide-toothed comb.

As the celebrity stylist continued with the hair look, he began blow drying Louis-Dreyfus' locks using his fingers. This works to create volume and add a little lift. He finished off the ends of the hair with a round brush. Now, taking a one inch curling iron Monzon began to wrap various sections of her hair around the iron in alternating directions. As the sections ranged from 1 to 1.25 inches, the curls were slightly touseled and treated accordingly.

To finish the hair look, Monzon applied the StriVectin HAIR Color Care Vibrancy Booster to Louis-Dreyfus' hair from the mid-shaft all of the way through the ends. As the celebrity stylist gathered a quarter size amount, he used his hands to apply the product. This creates a shiny finish that is very much needed.

Reese Witherspoon is one of the greatest actresses ever. This award-winning beauty graced the red carpet for the premiere of her new animated movie "Sing" at the Toronto International Film Festival earlier this evening. Witherspoon looked absolutely radiant with a modernized, timeless off-the-shoulder dress. As her makeup looked natural, her hair really stole the spotlight (as you can see from the photo to your left taken by the talented C Flanigan of Getty Images) and brought the entire look to life. With effortless volume, the hair look was created courtesy of Nexxus celebrity stylist Lona Vigi.

"Since it was a kids movie premiere during the day, Reese and I decided to keep her hair down, flowy and fun for the occasion, and to flawlessly complement her off-the-shoulder dress," Vigi shared.

Get the hair look: Kate Spade at NYFW Fall'16

Kate Spade is one of the greatest brands in the world today. This internationally known fashion house of hautness debuted their collection for Fall 2016. As the pieces were immaculately simple, they featured elegant, fashion-forward designs that were quite effortless. And as the makeup complemented the look, the hair really stood out. Featuring a natural blowout style courtesy of TRESemme stylist Bob Recine, this particular look brought everything together.

"Use a soft bristle brush once the look is finished. It's an easy way to create some natural texture and pull out some flyways for a lived in feel," Recine shared about the hair look.

So, is it possible to recreate this hair look at home? Yes.

First and foremost, Recine started prepping the models hair by using the TRESemme Beauty-Full Volume reverse wash system. This system uses the TRESemme Pre-Wash Conditioner followed by the Shampoo which works to soften the hair and wash away any weight.

Taking a small, golf ball sized amount of TRESemme Beautiful Volume Mousse, Recine used his fingers and gently combed this through the models' hair. Taking a blow dryer, the TRESemme stylist began to blow dry the hair straight using his fingers. It is important to not rough up the hair too much, as you will want to allow your hair to fall in its natural part. This is what Recine did with the models' hair at the Kate Spade show.

Then, Recine applied a light spritz of the TRESemme Botanique Damage Recovery Oil Elixir for added healthy shine. As he continued with the look, he began rolling a hair straightener down the top sections. Taking the hair straightener from root-to-tip, Recine kept his hand moving to create a soft, delicate wave.

To finish the look, Recine sprayed the TRESemme Beauty-Full Volume Hairspray.

“We wanted to create an effortlessly elegant, soft style that would complement her gorgeous intricate gown,” said Campora about his inspiration behind the hair look.

So, is it possible to re-create this hair look at home? Absolutely.

First and foremost, Campora washed Robbie's hair with the Nexxus New York Salon Care Therappee Rebalancing Shampoo and Nexxus New York Salon Care Humectress Restoring Conditioner. Washing with these two amazing products works to set the foundation for a soft, classic look.

As Campora continued with the starlet's hair look he applied a few pumps of the Nexxus New York Salon Care Diametress Headress Leave-In Conditioning Creme through Robbie's towel-dried locks to seal in the moisture.

Now, taking a medium-sized round brush Campora created a side part. As he continued, he started to blow dry the Australian beauty's hair. Once Robbie's hair is dry, you are going to want to use your hands and fingers and apply a dime-sized amount of the Nexxus New York Salon Care Exxpand+ Volumizing Whip throughout strands, as this is what the celebrity hairstylist did to add natural volume and movement.

To finish the look, Campora sprayed the Nexxus New York Salon Care Frizz Defy Finishing Mist all over Robbie's tresses to provide a soft hold and to keep the look smooth and frizz-free.

Congratulations! You have just re-created Margot Robbie's hair look for the 'The Legend of Tarzan' premiere.

You may know her as Taylor Shaw in the NBC hit series Blindspot, as you may know her as Sif in the hit film Thor, but Jaimie Alexander really stunned the red carpet recently at the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic held on June 4, 2016. In fact, she really stole the spotlight at the event on Saturday where she wore a very glamorous halter styled romper. The romper featured a sheer green silk and a white skirt which layered the outfit. As her makeup looked fabulous, her hair really stood out. Alexander was styled by the one and only Matt Fugate, Kérastase's consulting hairstylist. Fugate was inspired to give Alexander a 'braided mohawk' style to complement her beautiful yet effortlessly flowing dress.

"I wanted to give Jaimie a very 'Warrior Helen of Troy' style to complement her beautiful, flowy dress. We decided to add two micro braids to help secure the hair down during the windy day and give this battle-like look," Fugate said about the inspiration behind the starlet's hair look.

So, is it possible to re-create this hair look at home? Absolutely.

First and foremost, Fugate prepped Alexander's hair. He used the Kérastase Nutritive Bain Shampoo and the Kérastase Fondant Magistral Conditioner. Then, Fugate took the Kérastase L'incroyable Blowdry and applied it to the starlet's damp hair before blow drying the product into her hair.

As Fugate continued, he created two very fine, hairline braids on the Blindspot star's hair and secured the braids with pins. As he continued with the style, he sprayed the Kérastase VIP Volume in Powder throughout Alexander's hair to give her hair body and lift.

Next, Kérastase's consulting hairstylist took different sections of Alexander's hair and wrapped the curling iron around them. This works amazingly to create a very messy look. As Fugate continued, he grabbed Alexander's hair and rolled it before pinning in both the middle and back of the hair. Fugate went towards the nape of neck, as this is what creates that faux mohawk look. Fugate wanted to play up the starlet's edgy style with rolling her hair.

Taking the Kérastase Fix Fabulous, Fugate sprayed this product on the braids and dried them, using a little sock over his blowdryer to help set the style. To finish the look, he applied the Kérastase Laque Noire all over.

Congratulations! You have just re-created Jaimie Alexander's hair at the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic.

Emma Stone is one of those starlets that can pull off virtually every single hair color under the sun. So, as much of a shocker it may have been when she stunned the red carpet Monday debuting dark hair, I think we can all agree that she looked ultimately amazing. As she wore a beautiful, off-white PRADA dress accessorized with a metal corset and harness, she definitely embodied a goddess from the Greek age. And for the Met Gala festivities, Stone teamed up with celebrity hairstylist Mara Roszak for an amazing hair look to complement the beautiful actress's dress.
“Emma wore this gorgeous white, flowy PRADA gown with sharp gun metal details for an ethereal yet edgy look. We wanted the hair to have a strong, powerful presence,” L’Oréal Paris Celebrity Hairstylist Mara Roszak said about Stone's hair look.

So, is it possible to re-create this hair look at home? Absolutely.

First and foremost, Roszak prepped the Easy-A star's hair by washing it with the L’Oréal Paris Advanced Haircare Extraordinary Oil Shampoo and then conditioning it with the L’Oréal Paris Advanced Haircare Extraordinary Oil Conditioner. After she shampooed and conditioned the starlet's hair, Roszak applied the L’Oréal Paris Advanced Hairstyle Boost It Volume Inject Mousse. Taking the hair, the celebrity hairstylist parted it to the side. Stone has bangs, so Roszak pinned them off to the side to disguise them.

As Roszak continued with this hair look, she took a small round brush along with the ghd air hairdryer and began to blow dry the hair. This works amazingly to create volume. Then, Roszak pin curled Stone's hair. She, then sprayed the L’Oréal Paris Elnett Satin Hairspray Strong Hold. After a few minutes, Roszak removed the pins. Taking the 1 ¼ inch ghd Curve Soft Curl Iron, Roszak went over the curls.

Now taking the soft brush, the celebrity hairstylist brushed out the curls to create looser waves. As Roszak continued, she spritzed Stone's hair all over with the L’Oréal Paris Advanced Hairstyle Sleek it Strand-Smoother Serum Spray. This works to create amazing shine.

To finish the look she applied the L’Oréal Paris Elnett Satin Hairspray Strong Hold which works wonderfully to keep hair in place.
