Birthday 2019: My boyfriend is amazing

Today is officially my birthday. And what better way to celebrate my birthday than with my incredible boyfriend Sumit. He surprised me today with this cake and rose, dedicating his love for me.

He pre-ordered this cake for me several days ago which consists of chocolate frosting garnished with gold and topped with a recent photo of me. As an eggless, double-layer cake, the flavor is vanilla and filled with an assortment of fruit and homemade cream.

It was only one year ago today Sumit surprised me with a similar cake. You can see that cake and read about that here. This year, he decided to do it again.

Amazing right?
As many of you are already aware, I have been dating Sumit for almost two years now. What attracts me to Sumit is the fact he is intellectually endowed, strikingly handsome, has more drive than NASCAR, and has direction towards life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness rather than the local dive bar and melodrama.

Sumit is a polymath with a real, tried and true niche for success. He is quite possibly the smartest person I have ever met in my life, as he is a realist and visionary. Every time I talk to him, I feel like I am speaking with someone who has lived many centuries.

When I have a conversation with Sumit, I learn something new. Whether it is about Hinduism, the stock market, the Indian culture, and even life in general - he has taught me so much. In fact, I feel like I can utilize the knowledge he has shared to and for a higher purpose.

Although he is academically endowed, what I love most about Sumit is the fact that he has such a strong and independent mind and he doesn't care what others think. And in spite of what others say about him, he makes himself a better person and always respects everyone. He doesn't have a hateful bone in his entire body.

Sumit has taught me many vital lessons about life and has made me really love and appreciate life much more so. And it is this fact alone, that has made me truly grateful to have found him and thankful to have him.

Thank you Sumit for making my birthday amazing. I love you. I am very happy in my life and I owe it all to you.

Mother cow with her baby in Sonipat, India

In honor of Mother's Day today, I want to share with you a wonderful video of a beautiful mother cow nursing her baby in the streets of Sonipat, India. Taken in the early hours of the morning, late into the night - cows in India are treated with the utmost respect. This is one of the most precious things you will ever see in your life.

Happy Birthday Sumit

Happy Birthday Sumit!
I am a firm believer that the best things in life are not free, but rather happen naturally. You see, several months ago I met a wonderful man from North India. We would talk sporadically about life and liberty, but just on a platonic, friendship level. Needless to say, I was very intrigued by him in many ways. He was not only intellectually endowed, but strikingly handsome with more drive than NASCAR. And the fact he had direction towards goals and pursuits and not the local dive bar was impressive. One thing that was very obvious to me was the fact that every time he would say anything to me, I felt as if I were speaking to someone who possessed supreme wisdom (which is a rarity in this world, especially in 2018), as everything he said was projected both skillfully and perspicaciously.

After about a month of talking everyday, we both realized that we loved each other. It was not planned. It just happened. And as our love continues to grow more and more, each and everyday, I find myself falling more and more, head-over-heels in love with him. Does that make sense? There are so many things I love about him. Where do I start? The way he expresses his thoughts as if he's lived for centuries, the way he can describe something and possess so much knowledge about it, his spirituality and how he sees good in almost everything, his loyalty and devotion, as well as; his dedication to me and the love we have and of course, his sparkling brown eyes and incredible smile.
My boyfriend Sumit.

Falling in love can be hard, yes and may also be even more complicated than solving the hodge conjecture; however, when love happens naturally and finds you, that is what makes the love greater and in the end, the love I have for 'Sumit' makes the world go round. You see, Sumit (that is his name) gives me a reason to not only love and appreciate him, but myself, my life and those around me too. He made me realize that life is valuable and every minute, second and moment is a memory-breeding journey that can take you virtually anywhere in life, as long as you let it.

Sumit, taught me so many vital lessons about life and has allowed me to experience what happiness truly is, as he brightens my day everyday. He told me never to regret anything in life and live life like it is your last day, every day. He also taught me that amazing things can happen when you don't try to look for them and that a light at the end of the tunnel exists. He encourages me to be a stronger, well rounded person daily and for that I am truly grateful. With a heart of platinum, there is no one on the planet like Sumit. He is someone I can see myself growing old with and if I am being honest with myself, I would say that I can see myself with him forever.

Happy Birthday!
Sumit (and I know you are reading this) I want you to know everyday with you in my life is a true blessing. I am so lucky to be the one to grow with you. You are truly the love in my heart and the love of my life. In the end, we are made for each other.

Life has a purpose and a meaning with you in it. Sumit, I am so thankful that came into my life, as there is no one on earth who can take your place. You make me the happiest I have ever been. I wish you only the best life can bring you, as I wish you the best success, joy, and prosperity. You are my sun, my moon, my star and my heart. And whether near or far, I love you so much.

Happy Birthday!

Karva Chauth 2018

Me today. Dedicating 24 hours
to my love for Sumit.
Karva Chauth is an honorable holiday traditionally celebrated by married women (Hindu women) and wholeheartedly observes the love, light and loyalty a woman has for her husband. As this holiday embraces dedication and conviction in more ways than one, it promotes a healthy, long-lasting relationship between a woman and her husband.

What started out as a day for soldiers who left their wives and children to go fight in war turned into a Hindu holiday of love. As this holiday is often one a woman should always be prepared for, this is my first time celebrating Karva Chauth.

Karva Chauth starts in a half an hour (or 30 minutes) here. To honor and celebrate my love for my amazing boyfriend Sumit, I will fast from sunrise to moon rise. I will not have anything to eat or drink. I will not access the internet; however, I will only talk to Sumit, family and friends if they call me via phone.

Once the fasting is complete, I will offer water to the moon. I will also have breakfast with the moon and enjoy an abundance of great food, including desserts and sweets. Some of the foods I will enjoy include: chapatis (or rotis), puris, parathas, matar paneer, chana masala, malai kofta, vegetable biryani and raita. For dessert, I will enjoy gulab jamun, rasmalai, jalebi, gajar ka halwa and boondi ka laddo. To drink, I will enjoy mango lassi.

To all of the amazing Hindu women around the world who are honoring their husbands this year - Happy Karva Chauth! Jai Mata Di. 🌞🌑🌟💛👀🌲🌎

Main tumse pyar karthee hoon

I Will Always Love You is a song about finding love and not letting go it. If you truly love someone, you will always love them no matter what happens in life. And if that love is meant to be, it will never die. They say it takes a day to know someone, but it takes an entire lifetime to forget them. This song really sends a message and when it is complement by beautiful vocals (especially those of Whitney Houston and Dolly Parton) the song speaks for itself. I decided to record this song on Smule tonight.

I love this song for many reasons. I can relate to this song in many ways, especially now as an adult. A heart cannot be replaced, as real love can't ever die.

To listen to my rendition of the classic "I Will Always Love You" simply watch (or listen) to the video above. If you cannot hear it, just click here right now to listen. Main tumse pyar karthee hoon, Sumit.

Sumit's recent video message to me

My amazing boyfriend Sumit is filled with many surprises. He sent me this video message earlier today from Chandigarh, India letting me know he loved me. For those of you that do not know, I met a man from India recently. We started dating in late May. Sumit is younger than me, but that is okay, as we have a strong connection not to mention great communication, amazing chemistry and evident compatibility. He makes me extremely happy and makes me realize life is worth living. It has been almost two years since Joe and I split and I always wondered in spite of remaining friends with Joe, if I was destined to find love again.

Today, I am happy to say that I have and it is stronger than ever. Sumit makes me realize the beauty of life. He makes me not only see, but love and appreciate everything that comes into my life, including the little things. And no matter big or small, he allows me to realize we all have value and a true purpose for living. Everyone has a place on earth.

Sumit is not only intelligent (he went to college at 16 and graduated with a bachelor's at 20), he's a polymath in a sense where his intelligence goes beyond anything academic. Never have I ever spoke to anyone who is on his level intellectually. He's also the most positive, free thinking person I have ever met, as he is extremely optimistic and ambitious. He is human and he has his moments, but in the end, he makes me the happiest I have ever been in a very long time.

With that said, those of you reading this, I hope you find your "Sumit" as I hope you find love. I believe everyone in life is deserving of love and happiness including those of you who despise me (and you know who you are). They say a life without love is like the earth without the sun. And I think there is some truth to this.

I love Sumit so so much

Today I decided to surprise Sumit with these selfies. I took the initiative of professing my love to him by writing on my hand. And in case you are wondering, I did not use a sharpie to write this, I used a felt tip eyeliner pen. In fact, I used the Eyeko 'Eye Do' Liquid Eyeliner to write the message on my hand and I filled the heart in with the Too Faced Sketch Marker Liquid Art Eyeliner in Canary Yellow.

Sumit is the new man in my life, as I met him in mid-to-late April. We just started seeing each other. I have been very happy in my life and I owe a lot of my happiness to him. He's going through a tough time in life, but in the end he is a real warrior so good, great and amazing things will be waiting for him. Every time I talk to Sumit, I feel a sense of true contentment and I am so extremely satisfied with my life, as a result. He is definitely someone who both inspires and motivates me. And for that, I am genuinely grateful.

Today I decided to really look at my life and dissect everything. Instead of looking at my life one-dimensionally, I decided to really look at it fully. What do I love? What do I hate? What can I change? What can I rearrange? Is it ok? Does it slay? I've come to realization that it is pointless to overthink, as any type of rumination (and ruination) will not solve the problem, but rather amplify it. And sometimes this kind of mindset can create problems that simply do not exist. The world can be a dark place, but if we bring ourselves into the light, we can shine in spite of any darkness that attempts to delude us. Today, I realize this more than ever and I am happy about it.

On another note, I have decided to reinvent this blog to feature an array of topics and not just commentary. So, I want let you know that most of the makeup I used in my selfies today are from Giorgio Armani Beauty, Urban Decay and LORAC. I also used Benefit Cosmetics. If you want to know specifics or have any beauty related questions, feel free to ask in the comments or reach out via contact form here.

And Sumit, if you are reading this - I love you!
