It is official, Starbucks has introduced the new Iced Cinnamon Cloud Macchiato. Inspired by the Spanish Summer classic Leche Merengada, this spectacular Starbucks addition combines the essence of cinnamon and lemon zest for a very acquired yet flavorful, decadent drink.

This new addition to the Starbucks family includes a hallmark of layers. It starts with the whipped cloud cold foam (made with egg white powder) infused with a hint of cinnamon and a touch of lemon syrup and is topped with the internationally known coffee house's espresso. Then, the drink is garnished with caramel drizzle crosshatch and a pinch of cinnamon.

And like the Iced Caramel Cloud Macchiato, this drink is available hot. The drink features an array of alternatives, as you can get this drink with almond milk and coconut milk. If you were to order a venti size of this drink with 2% dairy milk, the drink would be a total of 240 calories with 45 grams being from fat. With 42 grams of carbohydrates alone, this drink features 225 mg of caffeine, 36 grams of sugar and 7 grams of protein.

This drink is also offered in the blonde version, which is a less robust espresso and great for those who are looking for a lighter fare of the classic coffee drink. For more information about the new Iced Cinnamon Cloud Macchiato, simply visit Starbucks today.

Starbucks Green Tea Creme Frappe

I feel like I have become such a Starbucks enthusiast in the last 5 years. It is like I always find myself going there every other day. Sometimes once a day. I love the people who work there as they are always so kind and do so much to accommodate me and my tastes. I think I have tried probably every frappe they have ever made and anything with the word "chai" in the name.

Lately, I have been wanting to try their green tea frappe. I am not a fan of green tea (the matcha has an acquired taste that isn't something I enjoy); however, I thought I would give this drink a shot considering I have always wanted to try it. And just because I don't care for green tea, doesn't mean others will not.

I am a fan of cold coffee and tea drinks more than warm or hot coffee and tea drinks. Sometimes my mood wants a warm or hot drink if I feel cold enough to crave one, but most of the time I tend to gravitate towards the cold drinks. As I am a huge fan of iced coffee and iced tea, I have recently garnered a huge love and appreciation for the classic Starbucks Frappuccino (or frappe).

So, I decided to pick up the Green Tea Crème Frappe. I got the venti size (which is usually the size I get) with almond milk. And of course, I got the whipped cream topping as no frappe is complete without it.

I just love the flavor this frappe possesses. I am not even a fan of green tea, but find myself loving this drink. The whipped cream complements the green tea, as it brings out a certain sweetness that is hidden by little savory notes. I wasn't sure if I would like this, but I do.

The drink itself is 370 calories if you get it as a venti size with almond milk. It also contains 82 grams of carbohydrates and 2 grams of protein. The entire drink contains 92 mg of caffeine which is substantial for a tea drink, but not a lot compared to some of their other drinks. This is not a coffee drink, this is a tea drink.

So, what is the verdict? This is 100% Sarah approved.

National Coffee Day 2014

Today is not only Monday, September 28th, it is also National Coffee Day. Coffee is one of my favorite ingredients. Not only do I find coffee amazing to drink, but I love to use it in my cooking. I also love to use it on my skin. I remember when I was 7 years old when my grandmother had me make a pot of coffee. Ever since, I have been quite an enthusiast.

JIVA Coffee Cubes are amazing and one of my favorite coffee
drinks to enjoy. They are great with water or with almond, coconut,
or even soy milk.

Cinnamon Dolce Frappe, one of my favorite coffee drinks
in the world today.

When it comes to coffee and CLICK, the two just go together.
In fact, much like coffee and mornings. One of the best proteins
you will ever use.
Caramel Frappuccino, one of my favorite
coffee drinks from Starbucks.

Double Chocolaty Chip Frappuccino is one of my favorite
coffee drinks, especially when that time of the month
approaches.
Amore di Mona makes incredible chocolate and one of my favorite "pieces"
is definitely the Caramela with the crunchy coffee beans or the Chocolate
with the crunchy coffee beans.

So, for National Coffee Day, I decided to share some of my favorite "coffee" related drinks. Happy Coffee Day! Enjoy!
