May 2019: Beauty Favorites

As we Spring into Summer, we walk away from Winter for a while. At least for several months. May is one of those months I truly love, as it reminds me of why I love and appreciate Spring so much. Not only are my rose bushes starting to grow, but so everything I have planted the month before is doing so.

This month was a month of discoveries. I tried some great beauty products and even discovered some that I would match with my favorite holy grails. And although of the products I tried were just ok, some were no way too and quite a few slayed.

So, what are my favorites this month?

First and foremost, I must say that I love the Stila Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow. I have been searching for a great liquid eyeshadow. Most (not all) I have tried tend to dry up and don't possess a creamy nor long-lasting formula. These are creamy and go on smooth. They also dry to a nice pigmented finish, which I love and appreciate. Plus, you can manipulate the texture in a sense where it is easy to work with, as you can blend it without it drying too fast.

I know I have probably mentioned this product a million times already. And when I was a writer for Examiner (which is now defunct and directs to AXS.com) I was always raving about this. This month I am loving it more than ever. It is the Laura Mercier Tightline Cake Eye Liner. I use this eye liner with an eye primer (and it can be any eye primer) mixed with a little bit of setting spray to activate the product, as water alone tends to kind of dilute the color. Using this combination with this eye liner really makes my eyes just pop.

Tiffany Andersen is a woman with a voice, a vision and a message and it speaks in her skin care. As every single product is infused with gold, I have to tell you, I have loved quite a bit from her. However, there is one product that I love most and find myself using so much. It is the Gavee Gold Diamond Cell Salt Polish. Not only does it smell like citrus bliss, this incredible scrub is infused with authentic diamond powder and mother of pearl.

When it comes to face cream, I am extremely finicky about what I put on my face, as I have combination skin which changes depending on environment. As my skin tends to be drier during the colder climates, it leans towards oily during the warmer and hotter months. Right now I am really loving the Revive Moisturizing Renewal Cream. It contains an SPF of 15 which works to protect your skin from not only UVA/UVB rays, but actual DNA damage and environmental stressors such as pollution and wind burn. I have tried so many creams and have been really loving this one.

And lets not forget a good moisturizer for your face is vital, yes, but so is one of the body. I have tried quite a few this month. Right now I am truly loving the Lalicious Sugar Coconut Velour Body Melt. It epitomizes real bliss, as it possesses incredible ingredients, smells wonderful and makes my skin look and feel wonderful. This is great for every skin type, but a much needed pick me up for those of you with dry skin.

Giovanni Cosmetics offers some of the best shampoos and conditioners I have ever used. And I must admit that I love virtually every single product from the 2-Chic Repairing line. Not only does everything smell like coconut cream berry (which is bliss among itself) but it actually works to correct any damage done to your hair, repair it after time and prevent it from happening again. When it comes to products, I am quite selective as my hair tends to be like my skin - combination. This line is great for every hair type and will work generously to repair your hair. Plus it smells incredible.

ZOYA makes incredible nail polish. With over 400 colors to choose from, I am decided that I really love Aggie right now. As a gold holographic metal shade, the bronze micro glitter really adds depth to the color. I have worn this shade for a week and get so many compliments from it.

Until next month. These are my favorites for the month of May. Thank you for reading and have a wonderful day.

Get the hair look: Zendaya at 2019 Met Gala

Zendaya looked like a true princess on the red carpet, as she embraced the 2019 Met Gala theme: Camp. Wearing a custom Tommy Hilfiger blue dress that looked like something out of a real Cinderella fairytale, Zendaya truly made magic tonight.

As much as I love her dress and her makeup, what I really loved was her hair. Styled by the talented Ursula Stephen, the beautiful actress's tresses were treated amazingly. Inspired by classic Disney character, Stephen gave Zendaya a look to complement her style.

So, is it possible to recreate this look at home? Absolutely.

First and foremost, Stephen shampooed and conditioned the HairSoFab hair piece with the Suave Professionals Sulfate-Free Cleansing Shampoo and the Suave Professionals Moisturizing Curl Conditioner

After the hair was properly cleansed, the hair expert applied the Love Beauty and Planet Coconut Milk & White Jasmine Multi-Benefit Hair Milk shortly before drying it. Once the hair was dry, hairstylist began to curl large sections the starlet's hair. Then, taking the Dove Care Between Washes Foam Dry Shampoo to create volume, Stephen used a Tangle Teezer brush to brush Zendaya's hair out.

As Stephen continued, she created a very unique french twist. Next, she teased the root of the stunning star's hair shortly before brushing out the twist. Then, taking bobby pins, she locked Zendaya's hair into place. Once the twist was where the hair expert wanted it, she pulled out Zendaya's bangs a little bit. Stephen is a perfectionist when it comes to hair so she played with this until it fit the starlet's hair perfectly.

To finish the look, Stephen sprayed the TRESemme TRES Two Unscented Extra Hold Hair Spray and before adding her custom head band and sending her off to the Met Gala ball.

Congratulations! You have just recreated Zendaya's 2019 Met Gala hair look.

Get the Hair: Kate Spade NYFW Fall 2019

show at NYFW
for Fall 2019.
As New York City was a rather gloomy day today, what really spiced up the big apple was Kate Spade's newest fall collection. Everything from the unique styles as well as use of prints, it is everything that is expected from a Kate Spade collection. Fun and fabulous was definitely brought into creation of this collection. And earlier this evening, Kate Spade proved why she was truly an iconic woman of fashion as she was clearly a woman with a vision, a vision that will last a lifetime in the world of fashion.

Although the styles were fantastic, the makeup looked great. However, it was the hair which really complemented the models, the style and in short - brought the designs to life. Compliments of Odile Gilbert, the TRESemmé NYFW Stylist, the hair was the real winner of the show. And for several years now, TRESemmé has been the official hair sponsor of the biggest fashion event in NYC.

So, is it possible to re-create this hair look at home? Absolutely.

First and foremost, the TRESemmé NYFW Stylist started by washing the models' hair with the TRESemmé Keratin Smooth Shampoo and TRESemmé Keratin Smooth Conditioner. She wanted to create a very sleek yet smooth foundation, hence why she chose these two terrific TRESemmé additions.

Next, Gilbert parted the models' hair. She applied the TRESemmé Thermal Creations Blow Dry Accelerator Spray shortly before taking a round brush and fully blowing out the hair. She continued by pulling the hair directly down, as her goal for this hair look was to create individual sections, giving the models for the Kate Spade show a very sleep and smooth appearance.

As she continued, she applied the TRESemmé Keratin Smooth Heat Protect Spray to simply protect the hair and prevent damage. Taking a large curling iron courtesy of ghd, the celebrity stylist gently wrapped the ends of the hair inward just before letting go, creating a soft curl. This added extra bounce and body to the models' hair.

To finish the look, Odile Gilbert sprayed the TRESemmé Compressed Micro-Mist Hold Level 4 Hairspray to the models hair.

“To get this polished and sophisticated look, blow dry the hair straight and then use a curling iron to tuck the ends of the hair inwards, creating a smooth and chic finish. Lock the look in with the TRESemmé Compressed Micro-Mist Hold Level 4 Hairspray,” Gilbert shared.

As she lightly misted their hair, the celebrity stylist mentioned that she did this because she wanted to add a glossy finish to the hair and to keep the hair in place without the stiffness that most hair sprays tend to create.

Kate Spade was a world-renowned designer who created a $2.5 billion fashion empire directly from her NYC apartment. And although she is gone, she will never be forgotten as her legacy will remain forever. RIP Kate (1962-2018) #NYFW

Golden Globe Awards

Today is the 2019 Golden Globe Awards held at the Beverly Hilton located in the heart of Beverly Hills. So much is going on this evening as many talented people are up for quite a few awards including, Lady Gaga who has been nominated for several tonight. The talented and beautiful actress, singer, songwriter and producer stunned the red carpet wearing a pastel blue Valentino gown inspired by Cinderella. As mother monster's makeup looked amazing, most of us could not get over how glamorous and chic her hair looked.

Tonight Lady Gaga's hair was styled by the world-renowned, celebrity stylist Frederic Aspiras who used quite a few products to make her hair shine for the star's biggest night.

Aspiras shared with me, "First, I used the Joico Blonde Powder Lightener to create the brilliant blonde look." In addition to this particular product, the celebrity stylist shared that he used the Joico Color Intensity in both 'Sky' and in 'Rose' mixed with a clear mixer to create a Cerulean Blue, which complemented Gaga's Valentino dress.

As the world-renowned stylist continued, he used the Joico Blonde Life Brightening Veil throughout the star's hair. Then, he continued by combing through her hair. "I took the ghd detangling comb and combed through her hair. Then, I used the ghd natural bristle radial brush in size 1 and did a full blow-out using the ghd air hair dryer." Using high heat, Aspiras, then ran the ghd Platinum+ Styler through Gaga's locks before applying the Joico Body Shake Texturizing Finisher throughout her hair.

Using the ghd oval dressing brush, the celebrity stylist put her hair into a ponytail before wrapping her hair into a partial half bun, leaving her hair parted to each side of her hair. Then, Aspiras curled the ends of the hair using the ghd soft curl iron.

To finish the look, the Aspiras applied the Joico Humidity Blocker Finishing Spray.

Will Lady Gaga win tonight? I don't know about you, but if 'Shallow' doesn't win the Golden Globe Award, I don't think I would trust this awards show.

Congratulations! You have just re-created Lady Gaga's hair look for the 76th annual Golden Globe Awards. #GoldenGlobes

Introducing the IGK Dry Shampoo Collection

Jet Lag, Direct Flight and First Class.
(Photo provided by IGK)
I am a huge fan of dry shampoo. I discovered dry shampoo years ago when I received a sample of it through a beauty subscription and have been quite a fan ever since. Recently, one of the best hair brands, IGK introduced an entire collection of dry shampoos that cater to not only hair type, but actual cleanse level, scalp type and powder percentage. Amazing right?

The first one is the Jet Lag Invisible Dry Shampoo. This particular dry shampoo is perfect for those of you with sensitive scalps. Providing a lightweight cleanse, this amazing IGK addition contains volcanic ash which works to both cleanse and purify your hair as well as, ginger root extract to soften and add shine. This dry shampoo is also infused with mango fruit extract to smooth.

The second one is the Direct Flight Multi-Tasking Dry Shampoo which is incredible for those of you with normal scalps. As this dry shampoo contains turmeric and charcoal powder to lift dirt and buildup, it also works while absorbing oil and sweat. And the medium cleanse is something to truly appreciate.

The last one from the collection is the First Class Charcoal Detox Dry Shampoo which is amazing for oily scalps and for a deep cleanse. Infused with charcoal powder to lift dirt and buildup while absorbing oil and sweat, this dry shampoo also contains white tea powder to soothe and strengthen the scalp and the hair follicles.

The IGK Dry Shampoo Collection is available now at Sephora and retails for $27 per bottle. Not only are these incredibly effective, they smell amazing. And one thing is certain, I am going to make sure my bag is stocked up with these.

Get the Hair: Zayn Malik at the 2018 Grammy Awards

Zayn Malik at the
2018 Grammy Awards.
(Photo provided by
Baxter of California)
Zayn Malik is one of the most popular superstars in the world. What started as an idea turned into reality for the pop star after auditioning for the X Factor. And most recently, Malik has been blowing up the spotlight with his incredible music including the famous song "Dusk Till Dawn" featuring the talented Sia after parting ways with One Direction. As you are aware, tonight is the 2018 Grammy Awards. And as one of the most talented musicians right now, Malik teamed up with one of the best celebrity groomers in the business, Joanna Simkin who not only did his skin tonight, but hair too. But the question we all want to know, how did she do his hair tonight?

First and foremost, Simkin prepped the star's hair. She started with clean hair which was not only roughly towel-dried, but slightly damp. The celebrity groomer started by applying Baxter of California's Award-Winning Clay Pomade to the reality star turned superstar's hair. Warming up the product between her palms, Simkin started applying a dime-size amount of this product to the back of Malik's head before coating the product.

"If hair is fine, use a blow dryer for some lift. Thick hair can start with damp hair for the same effect," Simkin shared. "It is key to layer the product, as this better than applying too much once," she also added.

Next, Simkin worked her fingers through the star's hair. The beauty of Baxter's of California's Clay Pomade is that once it sets, it isn't too firm so you can create virtually any style you need to.

"If you have random flyways, smooth those with a tiny amount of the pomade," the celebrity groomer shared.

Finally, to complete the hair look, Joanna Simkin applied the Baxter of California Clay Effect Style Spray to hold Zayn Malik's style.

Get the hair look: Emily Blunt at The Girl on the Train NYC premiere

Emily Blunt always stuns the red carpet and this evening is no exception. The British beauty looked amazing in a green Prada dress. As her makeup really shined and complemented the look, her hair really brought the entire look together. Courtesy of Ashley Streicher for StriVectin HAIR, the stunning starlet was treated to an outstanding hair look to complement her custom dress.

"Emily is wearing a custom Prada dress tonight. Because it’s quite classic, Jenn [makeup] and I definitely wanted to modernize her look a bit with hair and makeup, wearing her cute new bob down," Streicher shared.

So, is it possible to recreate this hair look at home? Absolutely.

First and foremost, Streicher prepped Blunt's hair using the StriVectin HAIR Color Care Shampoo and the StriVectin HAIR Color Care Conditioner. Then, she sprayed the StriVectin HAIR Color Care Vibrancy Booster.

Once the hair was clean, the celebrity stylist applied a few pumps of the StriVectin HAIR Ultimate Restore Densifying Foaming Treatment directly to Blunt's roots. Then, she applied the StriVectin HAIR Max Volume Bodifying Radiance Serum through the ends of her hair before combing through the hair.

Taking a small-to-medium round brush, Streicher began to blowout Blunt's hair. Not for volume, but more so for texture. Once the hair was fully dry, Streicher created a strong side part using a rat tail comb. Then, she used a dry textured spray at the roots only and avoided the ends of the hair.

As she continued, Streicher chose random pieces of Blunt's hair. Then, she went over the hair wave with a flat iron. Taking pieces of the hair, the celebrity stylist tucked pieces of hair behind the stunning starlet's ears. She, then, kept waves from her face with setting clips until Blunt walked out the door.

To finish the look, she sprayed a strong-hold hairspray.

Congratulations! You have recreated Emily Blunt's hair look for 'The Girl on the Train' New York City premiere.

Get the look: Kate Hudson at the Deepwater Horizon premiere

Kate Hudson really embraced a red hot style last night for the premiere of her new movie Deepwater Horizon. The beautiful starlet stunned the red carpet in a tomato red romper accentuated with a matching throw jacket. As Hudson epitomized a true siren style, the Deepwater Horizon hottie was treated to a makeup and hair look to complement her entire style by celebrity makeup artist Debra Ferullo and celebrity stylist David Babaii.

"I was inspired to create a soft eye as the main focus to complement dewy skin, soft lips and Kate's amazing lashes," Ferullo shared about the inspiration behind the makeup look.

"Kate's look tonight is super chic and cool. I wanted to give her a rock-n-roll vibe and opted for a very textured look with a bold center part. It is so hot here in New Orleans so the products were key here to beat the Humidity," Babaii said about the hair look.

So, is it possible to recreate Hudson's hair and makeup? Absolutely.

Makeup

For Hudson's gorgeous glow, Ferullo used the Physicians Formula #instaReady Beauty Balm BB Cream SPF 30 in the shade Light/Medium. This product was initially used to prep the skin. As the celebrity makeup artist continued, she applied the Physicians Formula #instaReady Contour Trio SPF 30 BB Stick in Bronze onto Hudson's forehead and the hallow of her cheeks. Then, she applied the Physicians Formula #instaReady Contour Trio SPF 30 BB Stick in Blush to the apple of the actress's cheeks. To complete the face, Ferullo used the Physicians Formula #instaReady Filter Trio BB Powder SPF 30 to set the entire face.

As Ferullo continued, she applied the Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Custom Eye Enhancing Extreme Shimmer Shadow & Liner in Copper Nude. The celebrity makeup artist added a subtle swipe of the cream shade on Hudson's lid. On the bottom lash line, Ferullo used the brown shimmer shade. "Kate has incredible lashes," she added. "I wanted to make them stand out as the focus of her look."

To complete the entire makeup look, the celebrity makeup artist created her own custom shade of lipstick for the Deepwater Horizon hottie using a Kryolan lip palette. She mixed a few bronzed colors together to perfect a bronzy gold lip color that sparkled.

Hair

First and foremost, you are going to want to prep the hair. For this look, Babaii used the Kerastase Paris Bain Chronologiste followed by the Kerastase Paris Creme Chronologiste. On Hudson's wet hair, the celebrity stylist applied the Kerastase Paris L'incroyable Blowdry Lotion all over. Not only does this product fight frizz, but smoothes the hair and ensures the hair is protected.

As the celebrity stylist continued, he rough dried Hudson's hair. Once her hair was dry, he parted the hair down the middle and started misting the Kerastase Paris Elixr Ultime Bi-Phase Spray Oil all over.

Once Babaii did this, he started to create little bends throughout Hudson's hair using a 1" curling iron. He wanted Hudson's hair to take on a very texturized look that was undone and natural. Babaii's goal was to wave Hudson's hair in different directions.

Then, he ran his hands through the waves of her hair to break them up. Taking the Kerastase Paris Elixr Ultime Bi-Phase Spray Oil, the celebrity stylist sprayed this onto Hudson's hair again. Babaii added that he loves this oil because it is lightweight and doesn't leave your hair looking or feeling greasy.

To finish the entire hair look, Babaii sprayed the Kerastase Paris Laque Dentelle on a toothbrush and brushed away any flyways the Deepwater Horizon hottie had.

Deepwater Horizon will be coming to a theater near you Friday, September 30, 2016. Congratulations! You have just recreated Kate Hudson's makeup and hair look for the premiere of her new movie Deepwater Horizon.

Get the hair look: Priyanka Chopra at the 2016 Emmy Awards

Primetime Emmy Awards.

As Priyanka Chopra shined on the red carpet at the Microsoft Theater Sunday night, the beautiful actress made a statement in a red, custom-made designer dress. Chopra's makeup was one thing; however, her hair was on another level. Chopra was treated to a very glamorous sleek and chic style courtesy of Castillo, her go-to designer.
"Since the dress was custom-made, I really wanted the hair to be cohesive with the vision of the designer - sleek and chic," Castillo shared.
So, is it possible to recreate this hair look at home? Absolutely.
First and foremost, Castillo washed Chopra's hair with the MOP Mixed Greens Shampoo. The celebrity stylist went with a moisturizing shampoo as this works to withstand humidity and heat from styling tools.
As the celebrity stylist continued, they used the MOP Pear Detangler. After applying the product, Castillo combed through Chopra's hair to untangle and eliminate any frizz. Then, Castillo applied the MOP Mixed Greens Leave-In Conditioner. Then, Castillo added a little bit of the MOP Lemongrass Lift.
Next, the celebrity stylist started to rough blow dry the exquisite beauty's hair using the ghd Air Hairdryer until it is about 80% dry. Then, Castillo brushed through the hair with the ghd Paddle Brush to take out any tangles.
Taking a tail comb, Castillo, then created a side part. Now taking sections of the hair, the celebrity stylist started to flat brush blow dry the hair straight. Then, went over each section with the ghd Platinum Styler.
As Castillo was done straightening Chopra's hair, the stylist took a dollop sized amount of the MOP Orange Peel Molding Cream and coated the root to mid shaft of the side of her hair. Then, Castillo brushed the product through with a finishing brush before twisting it behind her ear and down the nape of her neck.
Castillo continued to repeat this technique and gather hair into a ponytail. As she repeated this same technique, she secured it with a hair bungee and wrapped a section of hair around the bungee to conceal it.
To finish the hair look, Castillo sprayed the MOP C-System Firm Hair Spray around the hair line and around the ponytail.
Congratulations! You have just recreated Priyanka Chopra's hair look at the 68th annual Primetime Emmy Awards. #Emmys

Get the hair look: Julia Louis-Dreyfus at the 2016 Emmy Awards

Julia Louis-Dreyfus stunned the red carpet Sunday evening in a beautiful and chic Carolina Herrara gown. As the Veep star is up for an Emmy tonight, we can only hope the cute comedian takes home the award tonight. As her makeup really stood out, her hair did too. In fact, her hair really complemented her entire outfit. Celebrity stylist Matthew Monzon for StriVectin Hair teamed up with the Seinfield alumni for an easy, playful with a hint of whimsy style which brought the entire look together.

"Upon seeing the gorgeous Carolina Herrara gown, as a collective we decided the hair needed to be somewhat easy, playful and with a bit of whimsy. We went with Hollywood glamour, but loosened up to make it feel a bit more modern," Monzon shared.

So, is it possible to recreate this hair look at home? Absolutely.

First and foremost, Monzon shampooed the funny beauty's hair with the StriVectin HAIR Color Care Shampoo and the StriVectin HAIR Color Care Conditioner. Then, he sprayed the StriVectin HAIR Max Volume Root Lifting Spray directly to Louis-Dreyfus's roots. As he continued, he applied the StriVectin HAIR Ultimate Restore Densifying Foaming Treatment through the mid-shafts and ends using a wide-toothed comb.

As the celebrity stylist continued with the hair look, he began blow drying Louis-Dreyfus' locks using his fingers. This works to create volume and add a little lift. He finished off the ends of the hair with a round brush. Now, taking a one inch curling iron Monzon began to wrap various sections of her hair around the iron in alternating directions. As the sections ranged from 1 to 1.25 inches, the curls were slightly touseled and treated accordingly.

To finish the hair look, Monzon applied the StriVectin HAIR Color Care Vibrancy Booster to Louis-Dreyfus' hair from the mid-shaft all of the way through the ends. As the celebrity stylist gathered a quarter size amount, he used his hands to apply the product. This creates a shiny finish that is very much needed.

Congratulations! You have just recreated the Julia Louis-Dreyfus's hair look at the 68th annual Primetime Emmy Awards. #Emmys

Get the hair look: Reese Witherspoon at the Sing premiere

Reese Witherspoon is one of the greatest actresses ever. This award-winning beauty graced the red carpet for the premiere of her new animated movie "Sing" at the Toronto International Film Festival earlier this evening. Witherspoon looked absolutely radiant with a modernized, timeless off-the-shoulder dress. As her makeup looked natural, her hair really stole the spotlight (as you can see from the photo to your left taken by the talented C Flanigan of Getty Images) and brought the entire look to life. With effortless volume, the hair look was created courtesy of Nexxus celebrity stylist Lona Vigi.

"Since it was a kids movie premiere during the day, Reese and I decided to keep her hair down, flowy and fun for the occasion, and to flawlessly complement her off-the-shoulder dress," Vigi shared.

So, is it possible to recreate this hair look at home? Yes.

First and foremost, Vigi started with towel dried hair. She applied a palm sized amount of the Nexxus New York Salon Care Mousse Plus Volumizing Foam to Witherspoon's hair. Working from the roots to the ends, this product adds volume and supports the style.

As Vigi continued, she created a deep side part. Then, she divided the hair into sections. Taking a medium-sized round brush, the Nexxus celebrity stylist started blow drying Witherspoon's hair. Once dried, Vigi took a double barrel iron and proceeded to add curls. She alternated with a 1 and a half curling iron every couple of curls to create effortless, undone waves.

To finish the look, she sprayed the Nexxus New York Salon Care Comb Thru Finishing Mist generously all over the style.

Congratulations! You have just recreated Reese Witherspoon's hair look for the Sing premiere.

Get the hair look: Kate Spade at NYFW Fall'16

Kate Spade is one of the greatest brands in the world today. This internationally known fashion house of hautness debuted their collection for Fall 2016. As the pieces were immaculately simple, they featured elegant, fashion-forward designs that were quite effortless. And as the makeup complemented the look, the hair really stood out. Featuring a natural blowout style courtesy of TRESemme stylist Bob Recine, this particular look brought everything together.

"Use a soft bristle brush once the look is finished. It's an easy way to create some natural texture and pull out some flyways for a lived in feel," Recine shared about the hair look.

So, is it possible to recreate this hair look at home? Yes.

First and foremost, Recine started prepping the models hair by using the TRESemme Beauty-Full Volume reverse wash system. This system uses the TRESemme Pre-Wash Conditioner followed by the Shampoo which works to soften the hair and wash away any weight.

Taking a small, golf ball sized amount of TRESemme Beautiful Volume Mousse, Recine used his fingers and gently combed this through the models' hair. Taking a blow dryer, the TRESemme stylist began to blow dry the hair straight using his fingers. It is important to not rough up the hair too much, as you will want to allow your hair to fall in its natural part. This is what Recine did with the models' hair at the Kate Spade show.

Then, Recine applied a light spritz of the TRESemme Botanique Damage Recovery Oil Elixir for added healthy shine. As he continued with the look, he began rolling a hair straightener down the top sections. Taking the hair straightener from root-to-tip, Recine kept his hand moving to create a soft, delicate wave.

To finish the look, Recine sprayed the TRESemme Beauty-Full Volume Hairspray.

Congratulations! You have just recreated the hair look for the Kate Spade show at New York Fashion Week. #NYFW

The big apple is quite possibly the most exciting city in the world. And it just got even more exciting this week with the start of New York Fashion Week for Spring/Summer 2017. As one of the hottest events on earth, fashion houses and designers debut their collections for the Spring and Summer season for next year. One of those designers is Misha Nonoo. As unique as the styles are, what made this event really stand out was the grungy tousled tresses of the models. Thanks to New York Fashion Week Ambassador for TRESemme, Chris Naselli was able to create a haute hair look to complement the style.

"Keep your roots matte and apply gloss only to the ends, this will give you naturally looking hair and shine where it matters," Chris Naselli shared in regards to the grungy tousled wave hair look.

So, is it possible to recreate this hair look at home? Absolutely.

First and foremost, Naselli washed the models hair with the TRESemme Botanique Nourish & Replenish Shampoo and the TRESemme Botanique Nourish & Replenish Conditioner. As he continued, he applied a few drops of the TRESemme Botanique Damage Recovery Oil Elixir from the mid-shaft of the hair all of the way through the ends.

Then, the TRESemme stylist took his hair dryer and began to rough dry the models' hair. As he continued, he began to part the models' hair in the middle to work in natural texture. He, then, began to pull one inch sections of hair randomly from the crown of the head before using a curling iron to create zig zag bends.

What did he do next? Naselli took his fingertips and began breaking the zig zag sections apart with his fingers before generously spritzing the TRESemme Botanique Nourish & Replenish Hydrating Mist.

To finish the look, Naselli sprayed the TRESemme TRES Extra Firm Control Hairspray.

Congratulations! You have just recreated the hair look at the Misha Nonoo Spring/Summer 2017 show at New York Fashion Week. #NYFW

Get the hair look: Kendall Jenner's Vogue Cover

R+Co Co-Founder Garren
at work.
Kendall Jenner is a true runway beauty and recently, the ravishing reality star teamed up with R+Co Co-Founder Garren for the ultimate style. In fact, Garren chopped off Kendall Jenner's locks for the September 2016 cover of Vogue. The real question remains; however, what inspired Garren to create this style and how did he do it?

"I first worked with Kendall at an Estee Lauder shoot where I cut her hair into a layered lookI cut about four inches. They pulled together a team of big names to expose Kendall to the world of modeling for the first time. This time, for her first Vogue cover, Kendall requested me because she knew something was going to happen," Garren shared.

"She trusted me to do the cut because she knows my history with changing the looks of big celebrities and she did her homework so there was nothing to be afraid of. In the end we decided to cut 12 inches into a blunt cut that was all one length and fell right above the collarbone. The cut is classic and coolKendall was very excited to show the world that she can be more than a long-haired ‘it’ girl and that she is growing up."

So, is it possible to recreate this hairstyle at-home? Absolutely.

First and foremost, the celebrity hairstylist prepped the reality starlet's hair with the R+Co Cactus Texturizing shampoo. This shampoo will be available next month.

Then, Garren applied the R+Co Chiffon Styling Mousse all of the way from the mid-length of the hair to the end. As he continued, he started to blow dry and style the hair.

Once he accomplished this, he used about a dime-sized amount of the R+Co High Dive Moisture + Shine Crème. He applied this product to Jenner's ends for separation. This product will also be available next month.

To finish the look, he sprayed the R+Co Outer Space Flexible Hair Spray.

Get the hair look: Khloe Kardashian's double-bun style

her double-bun style.
Khloe Kardashian is one of the most popular reality star personalities on the planet. And just yesterday, she teamed up with celebrity stylist Justine Marjan for a 90's inspired double-bun hair style. The hairstyle was so cute and really embodied the Star Wars Princess Leia persona with a hint of mini mouse, which complemented Kardashian's style.

So, is it possible to recreate this hair look at-home? Absolutely.

First and foremost, Marjan prepped Kardashian's hair with the SacaJuan ocean mist followed by the Ouai soft mousse. Then, taking a Mason Pearson brush, the celebrity stylist blow dried Kardashian's hair with the ghd blow dryer.

Taking a rat tail comb, Marjan split the pretty reality star's hair down the middle before splitting each section horizontally and individually. As she continued, she sprayed the Kardashian Beauty Hair dry shampoo onto the television personalities hair. This works to add texture to the style.

Then, Marjan took a RSession Pro detailing brush and started gathering the front section of one side of her head into a high pony before securing this into an elastic. The celebrity stylist allowed pieces of hair around the face and hairline to fall loose.

She continued to repeat this step before doing the same thing to other side of her head, creating the double-bun style. Marjan, then, gathered each pony and looped them into a knot right before securing them with French pins.

To finish the look, Marjan sprayed the Kardashian Beauty Hair pure glitz hairspray. She also added some Marula oil treatment wherever needed.

Congratulations! You have just recreated Khloe Kardashian's double-bun style.

Kim Kardashian's mile-high glam.
Kim Kardashian is one of the most beautiful women alive and quite possibly the most popular socialite on the planet. What started as an idea, turned into reality for the television personality. In a recent retreat, Kardashian took her glam squad on a mile-high adventure to the Hamptons. The glam squad consists of a variety of gifted beauty enthusiasts including the talented hairstylist Justine Marjan. Just recently Marjan was able to create a haute hair look featuring a messy topknot to complement Kardashian's curve hugging dress.

So, is it possible to re-create this amazing hair look at home? Absolutely.

First and foremost, you want wash, condition and blow dry the hair. As part of the preparation, Marjan applied the Paul Mitchell Dry Wash and Spray Wax to Kardashian's hair to prep it. Now, taking the Paul Mitchell Marulaoil Detangling brush, Marjan started brushing the beautiful reality star's hair.

As Marjan continued she, split Kardashian's hair into two sections with the topmost section from ear to the crown of her head. Then, the celebrity hairstylist gathered the top section of the hair into an ultra high ponytail, leaving loose some strands around the hairline before securing Kardashian's hair with an elastic.

Then, taking the Paul Mitchell Marulaoil Classic Dressing brush, Marjan gathered the bottom half of Kardashian's hair and attached the top ponytail with a hair bungee. Next, she applied the Paul Mitchell Dry Wax throughout the length of the ponytail and rough up with fingers.

Once Marjan accomplished this, she started to twist and knot Kardashian's hair into a topknot, securing with bobby pins and french pins to hold the hair. Then, she pulled loose any stray strands around the nape of the next, before finishing the hair look with the Paul Mitchell Marulaoil Perfecting Hairspray.

Congratulations! You have just re-created Kim Kardashian's mile-high glam breakdown.

Frankie Bikinis recently introduced their 2017
collection.
(Photo provided by TRESemme)
When it comes to a fun California vibe that is seductive in nature, Frankie’s Bikinis 2017 Summer collection epitomizes it. Made up of flirty floral and pretty pastels with a hint of cute crochet, this collection is everything you would imagine it to be. To complement the style and the playful aesthetic of the entire collection, Frankie's Bikinis teamed up with TRESemmé Stylist Tyler Laswell for voluminous, beachy waves.

So, is it possible to re-create this look at home? Absolutely.

First and foremost, you are going to want to the prep the hair. After doing a full blow out, you are going to want to take the hair and split the hair into four even sections. These sections include the top, the bottom, the left and the right sides of the head.

Then, you are going to want take the TRESemmé TRES Two Climate Protection Mousse through each section, one at a time. As you continue, you are going to want to blow dry using a diffuser. This works amazingly to protect against humidity and bring out natural wave.

As you continue, you are going to want to twist each section around itself, as if you were turning the hair into a rope. Then, take that hair and wrap it into a loose bun. Next, you want to secure the bun with safety pins. For extra texture as well as hold, you can add a little bit of heat by using a blow dryer.

To finish the look, you are going to want to  release the braids. Then, shake out with fingers and set the look with TRESemmé TRES Two Climate Protection Hairspray.

Congratulations! You have just re-created the amazing hair look for Frankie's Bikinis 2017 Summer collection.
