The very first time I prepared a banana daiquiri, I created one for myself. I love daiquiris in general, however; I absolutely love bananas. The combination of the daiquiri and it's original ingredients with this amazing fruit has definitely increased my love for both, as a result.
The daiquiri is one of the very few popular drinks today that can be originated to fit your acquired taste. The original banana daiquiri ingredients include: Rum, Triple Sec., Lime Juice, Sugar, and Banana. I decided to create an original banana daiquiri that allows you to use an array of liqueurs, cordials, and liquors.
Very Banana Daiquiri
1 oz. Rum (Light)1 oz. Rum (preferably Banana-based)1 oz. Banana Liqueur
1 oz. Cream Liqueur
1 oz. Half-and-Half Cream
1 tsp. of Sugar
1 splash of Grenadine
Combine the Rum, Banana Liqueur, Cream Liqueur, Half-and-Half, Sugar, and Grenadine with crushed ice and blend at a high speed until firm. Serve in a chilled flute glass, on the rocks, with a maraschino cherry or pineapple slice. (Banana slice is optional)
