Fashion and Sarah Jessica Parker go together a lot like frappes and mornings. The Met Gala would be incomplete without her as she epitomizes what this event is all about. Monday evening the Sex and The City star stunned the red carpet in a modern vintage Monse outfit. As her hair looked amazing, her makeup really made a statement bring her entire outfit to life. SJP teamed up celebrity makeup artist Leslie Lopez to create a beautiful yet bold metallic makeup look to complement SJP's amazing Monse outfit for the 2016 Met Gala.

So, is it possible to re-create this incredible makeup look at home? Absolutely.

First and foremost, Lopez prepped SJP's face with the RéVive Intensité Les Yeux around her eyes followed by the RéVive Moisturizing Renewal Cream Suprême on her face. “I always like to moisturize her skin and let it set for 15-20 minutes before I start applying makeup,” Lopez shared.

Using her fingers, Lopez applied the Laura Mercier Silk Crème Moisturizing Photo Edition Foundation in Bamboo Beige. This works to create an all-natural glow. “I like the foundation to be light – so the skin can look natural and be seen. To achieve this, I only applied the foundation where it was needed to even the skin’s texture,” Lopez said about the foundation.

Lopez, then layered on the Laura Mercier Shimmer Bloc in Golden Mosaic mixed with the Laura Mercier Face Illuminator Powder in Seduction to the apples of the Sex and The City star's cheeks, temples and décolletage. This incredible combination helps to create a beautiful, sun-kissed look.

As Lopez continued, she applied the Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Colour in Tuxedo. She mixed it with Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Colour in Rosegold on the eye lids, as this works to make the product a bit lighter. The celebrity makeup artist used her fingers to blend in Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Colour in Gilded Gold under Parker’s eyebrow bone. Lopez completed the eye look by curling the star’s lashes with Shu Uemura Eye Lash Curler and topped them off with a few coats of Rimmel London Extra Super Lash Mascara.

To complete the makeup look, Lopez layered the Laura Mercier Velour Lovers Lip Colour in Infatuation and the Laura Mercier Lip Glace in Bronze Gold Accent. This creates a natural lip.

Congratulations! You have just re-created Sarah Jessica Parker's makeup look at the 2016 Met Gala.
