When it comes to being bold with style, Lady Gaga is a true risk taker. In fact, the pop star really made a statement Monday night at the 2016 Met Gala when she wore a tech theme Versace leotard with fishnet stockings along with a circuit board-inspired jacket with square shoulder pads. Although mother monster didn't wear pants, she wore perilous platform stilettos that were about at least 10 inches. As Gaga rocked a bold red lip along with a bold brow, her makeup really slayed the night; however, her hair really made a statement on it's own. And what better way to blow up the spotlight than with haute blonde hair by Haus of Gaga's very own Frederic Aspiras.

"My inspiration for the hair look was futuristic metal pop princess Gaga," Frederic Aspiras said about the hair look.

So, is it possible to re-create this hair look? Absolutely.

First and foremost, Aspiras started this look by shampooing and conditioning the pop star's hair. For this look, he used the Matrix Total Results Rock It Texture Shampoo followed by the Matrix Total Results Rock It Texture Conditioner. These products work amazingly to clarify and prime the hair.

As Aspiras continued with this hair look, he towel dried Gaga's hair before applying the Matrix Total Results Moisture Cure. This product works to detangle the hair. After applying this product, Aspiras simply combed Gaga's hair to get the tangles out. Once he accomplished this, he applied mousse throughout her hair and started to begin to section, for blow drying.

Then, starting at the nape of the hair, Aspiras applied the Matrix Total Results Wonder Boost Root Lifter to the roots of Lady Gaga's hair. When drying the hair it is very important to repeat this for every section while drying the hair. Now, taking a curling iron, Aspiras began to create a few loose waves throughout the hair. As he continued with this hair look, he applied the Matrix Style Link Mineral Mess Maker Sea Salt Spray. This product adds fantastic texture. For this look, Aspiras also embraced the 'tousle and twist' as you spray concept.

To complete this hair look, the Haus of Gaga hairstylist applied the Matrix Total Results High Amplify Hair Spray, which works to hold the height of the hair. And the best part is, it promotes a long-lasting style that lasts for hours and hours.

Congratulations! You have just re-created the Lady Gaga's hair look at the 2016 Met Gala.

Matrix SoColor stylist George Papanikolas talks Glow in the Dark hair

Matrix's Glow in the Dark hair.
When it comes to 'Glow in the Dark' hair, the trend is one of the hottest in hair right now. Whether you are looking to change your style or simply searching to make a statement, this is one of the best ways you can make that happen. Matrix Lacquers are the perfect tool to create an amazing new hair look. But, why is this trend so popular?

According to Papanikolas, it is edgy and modern. "Instagram and social media has made this trend global. It's an edgy and modern look, especially in a club environment where the use of UV light, and black lights are most prevalent."

So, how is look achievable? Two words: Matrix Lacquers. "You will want to use Intense colors like Matrix Lacquers which are temporary, and then a glow in the dark dye to accent where you want your hair to glow. They are most visible over highlighted or previously lightened hair, but can also be layered over darker hair for a subtler tone. Then you will want to be sure you go somewhere with UV light so that the glow in the dark effect can be visible," Papanikolas told me.

Who can wear 'Glow in the Dark' hair exactly? "This would be a great look for club kids, night clubs or parties inspired by Coachella’s "Neon Carnival" where they heavily use Black Lights to bring the glow in the dark colors to life. I would also recommend for artistic people who tend to have less limitation on their appearance," Matrix SoColor stylist George Papanikolas said. "This look is super easy for blondes because they are able to skip the pre-lightning process, but if you have dark hair, it can take a few sessions before you can get to the “glow” but do not fret! You can start small, and apply small slithers to the ends because this look usually starts with pre-lightening of the hair."

Matrix Colorgraphics Lacquers include six semi-permanent shades. These shades include: red, orange, yellow, purple, magenta and clear. For more information about the 'Glow in the Dark' hair trend as well as the Matrix Lacquers, visit Matrix today.

Shailene Woodley recently attended the Divergent 'Allegiant' premiere where she stunned the red carpet in a lavish Elie Saab jumpsuit. Woodley is primarily known for her role as Beatrice "Tris" Prior in the series, where she plays a fairly free-spirited, headstrong who is completely fearless in more ways than one. Recently, the beautiful California born actress teamed up with celebrity stylist Keith Carpenter for a natural hair look that complemented Woodley's outfit for the big night.
“Shailene really wanted her look to be very natural and undone with slight direction,” celebrity stylist Keith Carpenter said about the actress's hair look.

So, is it possible to re-create this hair look at home?

First and foremost, you want to prep your hair by washing with shampoo and conditioning. Then, you want to apply the Matrix Total Results Rock It Texture Sea Salt Spray and allow your hair to air dry.

Once your hair is roughly dried, take the Matrix StyleLink Texture Builder and apply it to your hair. As you continue, you are going to want to take a 1½ inch flat iron to curl your hair. You are going to want to do this in a crisscross style. This works to achieve a more natural wave as well as, movement.

To complete the look, celebrity stylist Carpenter used the Matrix Oil Wonders Volume Rose Finishing Spray. This product is outstanding and works to give your hair more tousled yet effortless effect.

You may already know her as Harley Quinn in the upcoming film Suicide Squad, but what you don't realize is that this Australian beauty stunned the red carpet Sunday night in a gorgeously glam gold snakeskin gown courtesy of Diane Von Furstenburg. As her makeup looked exquisite, her hair looked absolutely stunning and brought her entire look together. Thanks to celebrity hairstylist Renato Campora, Robbie was able to make quite a statement for the Oscars this year.

"Because the dress was very structural, I wanted to keep Margot very soft and modern; almost minimalist and very feminine" Renato Campora said about the hair look he created for the Australian actress.

So, is it possible to re-create this amazing hair look at home? Absolutely.

First and foremost, Campora applied the Matrix Total Results High Amplify Foam Volumizer on Robbie's wet hair. He proceeded to work the product through her roots. As he continued, he took a Y.S. Park round brush and proceeded to do a full blowout of the beautiful actress's hair. Taking a 1"1/4 inch curling iron, Campora slightly curled the rest in an effort to create a slight bend.

As the celebrity hairstylist continued, he applied the Amika Haute Mess Texture Gel at the crown of the hair, as this will promote volume and give the hair somewhat of a lift. He, then applied the Aquage Sea Salt Texturizing Spray all throughout the hair for added texture.

To complete the hair look, Campora used the Matrix Total Results High Amplify Hairspray. This product is amazing and great for both hold and volume.
