The Best French Restaurants in New York City

America is the world's "Melting Pot" and the land of the free and the home of the brave. America is also the home of some of the finest, most renowned restaurants in the world today. New York City has defied the true essence of fluent, yet authentic French cuisine where French food has never tasted so good. It is 2009, not 1909 so the result of our French ancestors is more outstanding and observable than ever. It is a well known fact that there are many French restaurants in the big apple, so I have decided to narrow down the numerous French restaurants to only the best eateries in New York City.

French cuisine has a reputation of being flavorful and decadent, however; once you discover La Sirene, you will become very much aware that this amazing French eatery and addition to the big apple is proved to be true. Located on 558 Broome St. in between Varick St. and 6th Ave lies one of the most well-known French eateries in Manhattan, La Sirene. With everything from entrees to appetizers, who cannot love this first-rate French restaurant? The "Escargots A La Bourguignonne" (which are a half dozen roasted snails with butter and garlic sauce) for only $12.75 are really popular, as they are a delicacy. La Sirene also includes a long list of amazing French desserts. In fact, if you haven't tried the "Crème Brulee" for only $9.75, you are missing out on one of the best desserts on earth. The atmosphere at this fine French bistro provides you with an setting that is casual, yet strong with an environment that is calm and collection. The service at La Sirene is swift, yet conscientious. If you are a vegetarian, you may have minor trouble finding something at this eatery, however; there are some vegetarian selections on the menu. Delivery is also available, making it high convenient for those who want to stay at home, rather than eat out. Prices range from $2.50 and $32.00. If you haven't had the break to try French food, well now is your opportunity. In fact, if you haven't tried the Bistro Les Amis, you must do so pronto. Located on 180 Spring St. at Thompson St., this amazing example of a French restaurant in Manhattan proves why it is not only worth frequenting, but heavily worth your inquiry. With everything from soups and salads to entrees and appetizers to unlimited specials, the Bistro Les Amis demonstrates why it is one of the best French restaurants in the big apple. Brunch is also available, making it that much enhanced. One of my favorites remains to be the "Goat Cheese Sun Dried Tomatoes, and Misc. Herbs Omelet" for only $10.95. The environment is rather genial, yet diminutive, but provides you with an ambience that is satisfying and subtle. The service is very dutiful and chivalrous, making your experience at the Bistro Les Amis a good one. If you are a vegetarian, you will definitely find an entrée or two that represents what you are looking for. Delivery is also available, but only vacant from 11:30 am until 4:00 pm, making it immensely opportune for those who would like to stay inside for brunch, lunch, and/or an early dinner. I don't know about you, but I love French food. Everything from the use of ingredients to the actual collaborations that are used to create that savory, yet succulent delectable taste. I also know that one of the best French Bistros in NYC is definitely Le Boeuf a la Mode. Located in the heart of NYC on 539 E 81st St. rests one of the most high-flying, French establishments in the big apple, Le Boeuf a la Mode. With everything from entrees to appetizers to a variety of specials, the Le Boeuf a la Mode is as complete as the individual that enjoys eating here. The "Escargots de Bourgogne" (which are snails in garlic butter and parsley) for only $10.75 are really popular here. Le Boeuf a la Mode also offers luscious French desserts. The ambience is southern with a modishness that is novel and charismatic. The service is shrewd and societal. If you are a vegetarian, you will find a little something to eat here, but please note you won't find a modest amount of vegetarian selections on the menu. Prices start at $2.50 and go up to $39.50. Le Boeuf is open daily from 5:30 pm until 11:00 pm EST. For more information, simply call: (212) 249-1473 today.

Sometimes French food is not for everyone, however; when Americans put a new twist or spin on an bona fide cuisine, without changing it significantly, the result turns out marvelously. That is the case when it comes to Eleven Madison Park. Located on 11 Madison Ave. in the heart of NYC, at 24th St. lies one of the most flavorful French restaurants, Eleven Madison Park. With everything from entrees to appetizers and ad lib specials, you just cannot evade, but love Eleven Madison Park. Eleven Madison Park also includes desserts, making it a French eatery that permits you to feed your sweet tooth. In fact, I truly recommend the "Fromages Naturels" (which is an astoundingly fluent French cheese dessert) for only $12. The environment is customary, yet classy with an ambience of panache. The service is decorous, yet quick and genteel. Prices vary and range from $8.00 and go up to $175.00. Eleven Madison Park is open Monday through Friday from 12:00 pm until 2 pm for lunch, then reopens again at 5:30 pm until 9:30 pm. Eleven Madison Park is also open Friday and Saturday from 5:30 pm until 10:00 pm. For more information, simply call: (212) 889-0905 right now.

One of the things I love about NYC is the culture and the ability to connect with other cultures, including French culture. Some of the best dishes come from France and if you have never been to France or discovered the city of Paris, well the time is now to discover some of the best French food. If you haven't had the opportunity to eat at Solex, you really should do that now. Located in the heart of Manhattan on 103 1st Ave. in between 6th and 7th St. lies one of the best French eateries in the big apple, Solex. With everything from pizzettes and tarts to soup and an array of French inspired wines, the Solex is one of the most appetizing French restaurants. I absolutely love the "Assortment of Cheeses" selection for only $16, as you will receive a lot of cheese that makes your French eating experience a fabulous one. The Solex is more of a bar, but has an ambience that is more lounge and more calm and cooperative. The service is quite personable and communal, as well as, dutiful and swift. If you are a vegetarian, you will more than likely find something that fits your individual eating lifestyle here. In fact, I truly recommend the "Olives Provencal" for only $5. Prices start at a mere $5 and go up to $56. Solex is open daily from 6:00 pm until 1:30 am. For more information, simply call: (212) 777-6677 today.
